“Megan and Matt were friendly and very accommodating. Our dog enjoyed having canine buddies and a loving family to hang with while we were away.”

“Wendy and her family went above and beyond my expectations in every way. My normally anxious dog came home happy and worn out from exercise & playing. I’ll definitely book with Wendy again next time we go out of town!”

“Dani is sweet! My Soka loves visiting her. She gets plenty of exercise in walks and lots of nurturing snuggle time. Dani is great with communication and flexibility. Will continue to use when possible”

“Annika was great! We had to reach out last minute and she was quick to respond and help out. She had great communication throughout the entire stay as well. Our pup came back a happy girl :)”

“Tlhis was my first time leaving my Aussie Steel with a dog sitter. He's with me almost 24/7 because of my job. I'm sure I had a much harder time than he did! Ben told me about some of his regulars that he watches, and that they would be coming when Steel wad there. From the videos that Ben sent to me and the updates, I could see Steel was in good company and doing great!! He got lots of outside time, ate well and was completely worn out from a hike when I picked him up! :) I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Ben”

“Cora was a fantastic dog sitter for our last-minute dog care needs! She was a great communicator, super easy to book with, and took great care of our pup. We’d definitely have her watch Moneypenny again!”

“This is an excellent property if you’re leaving your pooch for a few days. Lots of space with an excellent care provider. Sarah kept us updated with activity reports and (fantastic) photos. We will absolutely bring Duke back here again!”

About: New Rover clients can enjoy $40 off their first booking using this link!: https://www.rover.com/sit/haleyg46019 Hi! My name is Haley, I am currently pet sitting and dog walking full time. I have been a trusted and reliable sitter since 2018 but my love for dogs began as a child with our first family dog, Nellie, a beagle. I fostered dogs for a time and in 2024 adopted a border collie mix named Patty! I have loved many kitties in my day as well! I also have limited experience with horses & mules but am very comfortable around them. I promise to provide your furry friend with the best love and care that I am capable of. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions, or express any concerns you have! Thanks and I hope to be walking, petting, and feeding your animal(s) soon! I am currently sitting full time! I can spend all day with your animals who may need extra potty breaks or have separation anxiety. I do have a dog of my own who I made need to walk mid day, or let out for a potty break. My home is a home for dogs! We have a fully fenced in yard, toys for everyone to play with, treats, water bowls. Etc. I live right off of the bitterroot path and a mile from the Rail link dog park! I approach my dog watching with patience and love. I have a semi active border collie mix. We go on minimum one hour walks everyday with playtime in the yard. He’s gotten along with every dog he’s met but I require a proper introduction when introducing him to new pups.
About: As a former veterinary receptionist, I have extensive knowledge of animal health care and am prepared to administer medication and treat minor wounds. I have also worked as a professional dog hiker. In this role I walked up to 8 dogs of various sizes in the mountains near Victoria, BC, Canada. Through this role, I gained extensive experience as an obedience trainer. I am comfortable caring for dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes, as well as cats, birds and reptiles. I have been taking care of animals my entire life. I was the owner of an adorable labradoodle named Max, who passed away in 2020. Since then, I have been a reliable dog and cat sitter for many friends, family and neighbors. I am currently a graduate student in the Environmental Philosophy program at the University of Montana. I only have 13 hours of class a week, which gives me plenty of free time to stay at home with your animals and go on many walks. I do not have class Friday-Sunday and am available for full-time care on these days as well as all evenings. I am also able to leave campus in between classes for walks. As I am not permitted to have animals at my current home, I am extremely eager to house-sit or drop in to your home to care for your pets. As a former veterinary receptionist, I can ensure a safe environment for you pets and am prepared to care for them in the case of a medical emergency. As a former professional dog walker, I am also eager to drive to your home to pick up your dog for a big mountain hike or a simple walk around the neighborhood.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Orchard Homes
Our dog had a wonderful stay with Teresa. She took excellent care of him, and our shy dog was playing fetch and feeling right at home within minutes of arriving. She sent us frequent pictures and updates, and we will definitely have our dog stay with her again. We highly recommend Teresa.

I've known Eva for a few years now and can vouch for her completely. She's the person who stops to say hi to every dog on the trail, and she spends her free time at the humane society with the dogs who need the attention most. This past weekend, I had her watch my pup, Logan (11), at her house while I was out of town, and he had the best time! He went on multiple hikes and walks, got to go out to Blue Mountain, and even got in the river. He was so happy when I picked him up and slept hard that whole evening. Logan is a senior, so I'm always a little nervous leaving him with someone new. Eva paid attention to what he actually needed and never pushed him past what he could handle. She checked in with photos and updates while I was gone, which was a huge relief. He also got along great with her own dog, Pete. Outside of the animal stuff, she's reliable and super easy to communicate with. Your pet will be in very good hands. I've already booked her for my next trip!

Haley was great with my two dogs. She was prompt in responding, checking in. She even let us know she took them on a great long walk. So important to feel like your fur babies are taken care of. We were coming into town for a concert in our RV and did not want to leave them all day. Thank you so much Haley. Bob and Barb

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Orchard Homes home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Orchard Homes.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Orchard Homes sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
