About: I grew up with dogs my whole life and have had cats as well, so I'm comfortable with both. Most recently I've been the go-to sitter for my neighbor's cat during her extended trips away — sometimes up to a month at a time. Animals tend to be at ease around me, and I bring the same calm, unhurried attention to pet care that I do to everything else. Your pet will be well looked after and genuinely enjoyed, not just managed. I’m reliable, quiet, respectful of your home, and happy to follow detailed instructions for your pet’s care. I work from home on a flexible, part-time basis, which means I'm around most of the day and can give pets consistent attention and company. About: Lifelong pet owner with 2 years professional experience as a Veterinary Technician and 3 years working in boarding kennels. Experience includes dogs, cats, horses, reptiles and rodents! I have experience with long term petsitting and geriatric pet care and medication administration, as well as emergency response. I have raised a few dogs and cats (and a horse) of my own and have cared for newborn puppies and kittens and medically sensitive pets. Morning and night feeding schedules are no problem, as well as three times a day medication administration if needed. Dogs who love walks and hikes are always great for me, as I have plenty of time to get out in neighborhoods or longer hikes in the mountains if applicable. I am happy to have dogs off leash in hiking environments once trust is established, if applicable. I am happy to give pets as much attention as needed, including take dogs out on walks or car rides. I am also happy with staying with them overnight if needed. I have experience with handling larger more energetic breeds as well as those who are aggressive and/or territorial. I enjoy caring for social cats who enjoy human contact and need company, but am happy to leave them to their independence if they desire. I have dealt with a variety of emergencies both working at a veterinary clinic and caring for elderly and sensitive pets, and am trained in recognizing concerning health issues in dogs and cats. My cat is my best friend in the world and I do everything I can to make sure she is happy and healthy, so I understand when others always want the best care possible for the animals in their life.

About: I have trained one dog since she was 6 weeks old and is now 7. I also have a rescued abused dog that I trained that is 2.5 now. I have been around dogs and cats my whole life. I work full-time but can frequently stop by to take care of your pet. I love walks as well and playing fetch (or whatever your pet prefers). I would stop by at least 3 times a day and walk at least twice. For now, I will not house pets more than 2 pets in my home due to limited space. I've been a dog sitter/walker for well over 20 years. I did DogVacay (before it became Rover) and Rover for 4 years while I was going to college in Texas between 2011 to 2016. At the time I was rate the #1 dog-sitter in Dallas/Fort Worth area. I moved back to San Diego shortly after and started a career in Social Work so I had to give up my "fun job" dog sitting. If I do leave the house it's usually to go to the gym or spend time in nature. I am rarely away from home for more than 4 hours at a time. I treat every client's home like it's my own. I pride myself on being extremely clean and respectful of the rules...not only your house rules, but your pet's rules too. I encourage families to face-time or check on their pups via security cameras for reassurance that I am taking care of their pets exactly the way they expect me to, or even better! Many dog owners find that their dogs get spoiled when I take care of them becuase I am home all the time so they get copious amounts of attention, walks, play time, and cuddles.
