A typical day
I love keeping pets mentally stimulated and happily tired, so I mix in activities based on their energy level, age, and personality. Some favorites include: for dogs, walks, play time, cuddle time, backyard play sessions and for cats giving them wand toys, laser play, window watching, and cozy lap time.

Pet care experience
I work part‑time and have a very flexible weekly routine, which means I’m able to spend extended, consistent time with pets throughout the day. I’m usually home for large stretches of the morning and early afternoon, and I keep my schedule intentionally open so I can prioritize walks, playtime, and companionship. My home is close to town, and I don’t have a long commute or rigid office hours. How I found my first Cat! When I was in middle school; I found my first cat through a local shelter. I was so committed to giving her a safe and loving home that I created a full slideshow explaining how I would care for her and presented it to my parents. That experience taught me responsibility & empathy . Since then, my dedication to helping animals has only grown, and I’m eager to bring that same level of care, initiative, and compassion to a shelter team.
