About: I enjoy connecting to animals not just watching them as they need TLC daily to know they’re loved and wanted. I do this by softly petting their fur or engaging in light indoor playfulness or hugging them while they lay there, so they feel the love:) In past I owned two dogs, 11y/o (he was 12 weeks old when we had him) and the other 8. Red heeler pittie mix and border collie mix. A few cats and even gerbils. I’m very attuned to their needs and feel them out by allowing them to adjust to me and read their energy to know how to engage. At this time I’m available 7 days a week open availability so if you’re planning to be away for a while I’d be happy to keep your fur babies company, with lots of affection and attention! I only care for pets outside my home however I have been a pet owner one was a Border collie mix and the other a heeler pittie. I owned a few cats and gerbils as well, in past. I’m very in tune if a pet needs attention for example with ears being cleaned or noticing more itching, which I can provide details as well of anything new noticed if you’d like.

Kristen was phenomenal! This was her first time meeting my cat Zeppelin, who can be aloof (at best) and is usually spicy with strangers in his home. She sent me so many pictures and videos of their time together, and her demeanor was always very calm and patient. Reading a cat's tells can be challenging for a lot of people, but she seemed to instinctively know when to back off and give him space vs when to engage and try to build a rapport with him. She had him playing with her by the first appointment! In addition to this, she sent me very sweet and thorough updates of every visit, and even cleaned off one of my cat beds and put it outside to dry in the sun after she found Zeppelin had coughed up a hairball in it. I felt completely at ease knowing Zeppelin was in good hands, and highly recommend her (especially if your kitties are distrusting of strangers!)
Charles was so wonderful to work with; this was the best experience we’ve had through Rover. It’s clear that he takes his job seriously, and cares deeply for the comfort, health, and happiness of animals (and people). My skittish kitty introduced herself right away, and it usually takes at least a few days for her to feel comfortable with someone new. Charles asked questions, provided detailed updates, and genuinely wanted to get to know our cats and us. He also went out of his way to work with us, since we live further away than the app lead us to believe, and send THE MOST incredible cat pics during his visits. Charles is a naturally empathetic and kind person, and we hope to see him again for future needs!

My husband and I had recently moved to Portland and needed a sitter for our cat, Gato. It was last minute, we were stressed, and we’d never used Rover. We lucked out and found Francine! Would give Evian 6+ stars if I could :) Needed some last minute care for my kitty and she was so sweet, clearly took truly thoughtful care of him and sent the best photos ever. I also saw her meet my dog briefly and although I didnt need dog care this time, she was clearly a natural animal lover and handled his energy so well, so I'm sure she would be great with dogs too!!
