About: I have dog sat and walked for family and friends for years. I am the mom of a mini schnauzer Loki and cat Sylvie. Animals bring so much joy into the world and I try to bring joy into their days as much as I can! I am an Athletic Trainer at a local high school. I work evenings so have the whole morning free. I love exercise and often walk my own dog 4-5 times a day. I have lived with dogs my whole life. I know how to feed, walk, and love a dog. I will treat your furr babies like they are my own. I will give them plenty of love, I will play with them, and get all their energy out!

Addelynn has been great with our new pup. We are gone most of the day for work and she comes on the days when we wont be home until late. She is responsive, walks him 20 minutes and sends pictures as well as how he did and if he went potty. Would recommend! Thanks!

About: I have grown up with dogs in the house my whole life. I am especially comfortable taking care of older and senior dogs and adapting to their needs (ex. blind/deaf) and have lived with small to medium breeds. However, I am also experienced with taking care of younger and larger breeds (ex. 1 year old English Labs). I have recently graduated from my undergraduate program, and have plenty of free time while looking for full-time employment. I do have a daughter, which may limit certain appointment times but should be flexible as I do have relatives to help, should I need to check on your pets. Experienced with young and elderly dogs, I am always sure to keep an eye on them when they are outside to prevent any escape or injury, regardless of a fence. If needed, I can also sit with special animals on a schedule, to ensure they go to sleep after meals or a walk.

I would totally recommend booking her.

About: I have been dog sitting 5 families for 3 years! All which have multiple different breeds-cavapoo, golden retrievers, French Boston terrier, black lab, I have never met a dog I didn’t love! And where they didn’t love me as well! Having a cockapoo myself has made me love and care for dogs even more! I have my own dog named George who’s a cockapoo and his routine fits right into my routine. Having George has made it much easier to connect and understand other dogs. When I take care of a dog, their routine becomes a major part of my own. For the past couple months, dog sitting has been a weekly routine for me so I am used to anything dog owners need me for. I have a dog friendly cockapoo to which I feed two times a day, walk three times a day, play with and cuddle with every single day! This routine has made its way into most of my routines with other dogs as well as any other accommodations they like!

About: You could say: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 10, caring for dogs. I’ve had 3 of my own dogs and I’m experienced with feeding, walking, playtime, and providing loving care. I’d make it sound flexible and reliable rather than just listing your class times: My schedule is flexible around my classes! I’m available Monday and Wednesday before 3 PM and after 5 PM, Tuesday and Thursday before 10 AM and after 6:30 PM, and I’m available all day Friday through Sunday. For Rover, I’d make it sound warm and reassuring: I’ll create a safe and trusting environment by following your pet’s routine, respecting your home, and providing plenty of attention, care, and supervision.

About: I have been pet sitting for the past 10 years in St. Louis, MO with a variety of dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, fish, and more! I love animals with my whole heart and would be more than happy to show them the love I know they’re deserving of! I also worked at a pet store called Treats Unleashed and a cat cafe called Whisker Station in St. Louis, MO where I was trained on behavioral pets and all types of pet supervision. I’m new to Rover but am not new at all to pet sitting! -I also offer plant watering and any other around the house tasks you may need while gone. -Back at home in St. Louis I have an american shorthair cat named Rue and two dogs; a pitbull named Spud and a black lab named Winnie. The thing i’ve missed most about moving away from home is simply being able to hang out with animals. I would love the opportunity to be able to care for you pets like I care for my own. Every animal deserves love, kindness, and lots of pets! I am a full time student at Transylvania University who is able to do check in visits or staying the night with your fur baby’s! My schedule isn’t too packed, just a few classes during the day, so your pets will get all the attention the rest of the day! I am willing to stay at the clients house to ensure comfortability for the pets. I have had four dogs, each with very different needs and differing aggression levels so I am able to handle all types of behavior.

About: I have been around pets my whole life, but dogs are my favorite! I love them all, from puppies to the senior friends. I regularly care for my family dogs and I have experience caring for friends dogs and I have several regular clients. I have experience with puppy care and training, bathing, feeding, and administering medication. I also have experience with senior dog care nearing the end of life and all others in between. I have no trouble creating the special bond needed with most dog personalities. Dogs are truly our best friends! I play and exercise my own dogs daily. I understand the importance of keeping dogs engaged, healthy, and active. I do have a part-time job, but schedules are flexible given enough notice. I am so excited to care for your pup! I like to make sure the doggie is a happy, tired doggie when I do have to leave them. They love me and know fun is in store when I’m around. I play fetch and frisbee in the backyard and go on long walks around the neighborhood. If we can’t be outside I’ll play games with them indoors to challenge their minds and keep them occupied. Then of course there’s snuggle time together until they’re ready to nap or go to sleep in their crates or bed.

About: Hi, I’m Esther! I’m a college student who has been on Rover for over two years. Most of my experience is with younger dogs but I love taking care of seniors too. I currently don’t have any pups so I pet-sit to stay active and continue being around animals. I am a student with a lot of mid day and weekend availability. I’m very flexible, especially on holidays and during school breaks. I have a lot of experience house sitting as well and I love overnight visits. When leaving your pets with me, they’ll be treated as my own. I believe in open and transparent communication so I’ll provide lots of updates. I have skills in leash training, crate training, and grooming. I would love to keep your pet company! For safety on house sitting appointments, I plan on meeting clients and their pups before providing services to make sure we’re a good fit.

Morgan was great to with our dog. We were only able to use her a few times, but each time I felt safe knowing she was with him. She provided detailed reports, lots of pictures, showed up on time and actually did the entire 30 minute walk! I would, and hope to, hire her again. Thanks so much Morgan!!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Migrate. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Migrate.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Migrate. On Rover:

  • 100% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
