“Catherine was SO lovely. This was my first time booking with her and will definitely again. I was able to be on my vacation with no worries at all. She took tons of pictures and videos and communicated so well.”

“Sarah was great with our two dogs! They warmed up to her very quickly. She kept them comfortable and entertained while we were away. It was a perfect first experience for us!”

About: I am a vet tech that is passionate about getting pups out and about. Whether is be opinionated or timid, fast pace or slow, sniffer or all business all dogs deserved to get out and about and I am here to help make that happen! My schedule is flexible as my full time job has flexible hours. I am home most weekends and look forward to meeting your furry friend. I understand change can be stressful to dogs so I strive to make the transition and keep their normal routine best as possible. As well as checking in and keeping everyone updated.
“Olivia was great. She gave the pups all the lovings while I was away. She sent pics and was great at communicating. The pups loved her. Will definitely use again!”

“Rachel took great care of our cat! She was flexible with his needs, followed all care instructions perfectly, and provided lots of play time and pets at every drop-in. Communication with her was easy and prompt. She also was very respectful of our home and kept it tidy. Highly recommend!!”

“Taylor watched my two cats while I was away for Thanksgiving. She sent great photo updates everyday and my cats looked like they really enjoyed her. She was on-time and very communicative with updates about them. I would definitely book with Taylor again!”

About: I have had pets my whole life, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and a hamster. I also worked at the Lexington Humane Society for over 4 years, as kennel technician and a full-time vet assistant where I cared for all of our animals and livestock. I have been a dog and kitten foster parent for over 3 years. I foster failed my 6th foster dog 🤭. I have experience with crate training, leash training, and basic obedience training, as well as training in emergency and senior animal care. I have a strong understanding of dog body language, experience with canine introductions, and have experience with medication administration. I have a passion for animals and would love to help care for yours! I am currently available most mornings, afternoons, and evenings as I am taking some time off of work before transitioning into human medicine. I am available for drop in visits or boarding in my home, both during the day and overnight. My own dog is crate trained, but spends his time free roaming in my bedroom while i’m away. I have a large crate available for use if needed. My dog loves other canine friends, so if you would like a companion for your pet, there is space for playtime in my home. Otherwise, I would be more than happy to travel to your home to spend some time with your fur babies! (Dogs will be kept separate if left unattended in my home). I do not have a yard, but have plenty of grassy areas and walking trails nearby for your furry friend to get some exercise!
“Kara's care for my dogs was exceptional - she was professional, flexible, quickly developed a trusting relationship with my dogs, and takes great pictures!”

“Dina was fantastic! She gave me the peace of mind that I needed to enjoy my trip. I looked forward to each update, and I knew that my cats were in good hands with her.”

“Elisa was fabulous with our Mr. Henry and went above and beyond for what was asked of her. She did 2 drop-ins for us a day and always sent pictures and was always running on schedule. SHE'S HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”

“The best!!!! So kind and friendly! She was amazing to my girl and I’ve already rebooked her for another trip. She was referred from a friend who loves her as much as we did!”

“Kayla took great care of our two kitties while we were away. She handled medication needs, provided a lap and attention, and communicated well. We will be happy to call on her again on future trips!”

“Brooke is just wonderful! So kind and professional. I had no doubt that my dog and cat were in the best hands while I was gone. She’s awesome!”

“Kim is awesome. Already have her booked for the next trip. She took extra care with our fur baby this time since we recently lost our other dog and he was very sad. Can’t say enough good things about her.”

“Jeff did a wonderful job with my 4 cats. I was really nervous leaving them alone with a stranger, but from the beginning he was very responsive and communicative. When he came by for the meet and greet it was clear he was a cat lover, and took the time to get to know my cats individually. I left him very complicated instructions (4 cats, 4 different diets, all 4 needed medicines), and he handled it like a pro. He sent me a ton of updates, photos and videos, and it was clear he put a lot of time into playing with them, petting them, bonding with them... I felt like I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation because they were in good hands. Highly recommend him!”

“Katherine was communicative while I was away, and I came back to a very happy cat! I felt completely at ease knowing she was taking care of Chevy.”

“Bailey is fantastic! She stopped in to check on Gracie and take her on a short walk while I was out all day. It made me feel so much better to have someone check in on Gracie. The pictures she sent really helped my separation anxiety 😅”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Migrate
Sara is always a blessing when I need her. She is always detailed and makes sure my senior cat is good. I’ve been worrying more about him lately as he continues to get older, but I don’t worry as much when she looks after him. She always is able to implement the new stuff I need to do for him as he gets older as well.

I valued Ariel responsiveness and conscientious care are for our two kitties. One of them is very skittish and the other one is pretty old. They both seemed comfortable with Ariel and came out of hiding to hang out with her--which is a big deal, and unusual! I am grateful that I didn't need to worry about our fur babies during our trip. If we have future trips, I hope Ariel will be available to watch them again.

Addelynn was great watching my cats, and would definitely recommend her! Super easy communication to schedule and coordinate keys with her. She took care of both my cats & sent updates and photos for my peace of mind while I was away. It seems like she already became close friends with my cat Ricky who was purring in her lap after only 2 visits, which makes having to be away even easier <3

Kate was awesome with our sweet little senior kitty Chai! Chai needs a lot of special care right now and Kate skillfully managed everything. Chai is usually not happy to meet new people, but she liked Kate right away! I’m so glad to have someone to call on when Chai needs care in the future.

Ellie took great care of our cat while we were gone. She followed all instructions perfectly and, most importantly, ensured that our cat had company and lots of entertainment every time she visited. Her detailed Rover Card information and selection of photos provided peace of mind, and I appreciated the extra videos. I’d book Ellie again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Migrate. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
