“We had to find a pet sitter at the last minute and Sarah saved us from having to cancel our trip. She was very dependable, flexible, and patient with our Chihuahua Sophie. We knew we were leaving our Sophie in good hands. We highly recommend Sarah and will use her again in the near future for our pet sitting needs.”

“Sydney was great with our two large dogs who needed exercise while we were on a week-long trip. Her communication (including photos) was very helpful and enabled us to truly enjoy our vacation. I would definitely have her care for our pups again.”

“Hannah always goes above and beyond! It’s such a releif to know that our boy is in good hands because it was always a stressor for us! Thanks Hannah for treating my due baby like family! He means a lot to us and so grateful to have her anytime we need her she has always came through!”

“100% above and beyond!! Due to the hiccups of moving into a new house, my spouse latched all the security latches on the doors that we gave Allie the key to. So when she got to our house (and we had already flown hundreds of miles), she was unable to get in. We called a locksmith and Allie met them at our house so they could get her in. We were so grateful because otherwise we would have had to cancel our entire trip (business trip for a course). In addition, our critters were on their worst behavior including peeing and pooping in the kennels. Allie spent extra time with them since we figured they must have been stressing out, between the move, having the house “broken into,” and us being gone. She definitely treated our critters like her own! Definitely would use her services again in the future! Thanks Allie, you’re a rockstar!!!!!!!”

“Cassidy is amazing! This was our first time using Rover and we weren't sure how our anxious rescue pup would do at home alone for nearly a week, but the kennel is not for him, so thought it was worth a try. The dog instantly took to Cassidy and she couldn't have handled him better! She's reliable, on-time, kept us informed with notes and photos, and even went above & beyond collaborating with us when he had a harder time than usual. Highly recommend!”

“Kayla has the gift that lets you trust her with your fur babies- from taking time to get to know the dogs- to having the love and patience during the first day visits. We are so grateful to have her taking care of our babies.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was little. We grew up with dogs and added cats to the mix when I was in high school. I’ve had several cats and dogs since then. Presently I have a two week on, two week off schedule. During my two weeks off I need something to do and pet sitting would both give me something to do, and allow me to have some dogs around. I’m a fan of walking so don’t worry about your puppets getting exercise! Pet care in my home is dictated by you, and enhanced by me. I’ll feed on the schedule you’ve set, but I’ve been advised by vets to let dogs have as much water as they want. So I’m happy with frequent yard time, or even walks if that’s necessary. With a fenced in back yard this is not a problem. And while I’m a sucker for puppy eyes, I’ll treat how you want as well. You also don’t need to worry about strong discipline. I will never hit or kick your dog.
“We booked last minute on a holiday week. Rachel was so reliable and took great care of our cat Bubba. She took daily pictures and gave us thorough updates. It really helped not to worry about our pet on last minute travel.”

“Kayla was great!! We had piece of mind having her do daily check-ins with our kittens and elderly/special needs cat while we were on vacation for a week. We knew they were in good hands. We will use her services again!!we appreciate her pictures and communication!”

About: We would love to take care of your furry family member while you're away! We will make sure he has a marvelous time with all of us. My husband and I grew up on farms in Kentucky and have loved dogs all our lives. Our kids also love dogs! We have a large fenced yard, and there are lots of walking areas nearby. We would take your dog on a walk or let him romp around the yard. We do have a cat named Eleanor and kids, so it is important that your furry friend be comfortable around cats and children. Eleanor mostly keeps to herself, so as long as your dog doesn't chase or bark at her, things should go fine! Why I love dog sitting We've loved dogs our entire lives. We don’t have a dog at the moment so enjoy caring for pups when their owners are away. About my yard We do have a large fenced yard! My experience administering medication Yes, we are comfortable administering medication. I work from home so am happy to have a furry friend keep me company and get some exercise together. Your pet won’t be lonely! I have a fully fenced yard with lots of space to play and explore. The fenced area is almost 1/2 an acre so plenty of room.

“When we reached out to Baleigh about pet sitting, we had kind of odd situation. We don’t have dogs or cats — just three bunnies. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pinckard. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
