About: I am pretty flexible around my work schedule with caring for dogs, I can find a way to make sure your dogs are a top priority in my daily schedule. Since my work schedule does range, I will keep my availability updated. I have always taken care of my own dogs and other people’s almost my whole life since I was a preteen. I absolutely adore getting to know other dogs and giving/receiving love from them. I’ve been training with dogs since I was 11 years old in basic manners, tricks, and agility, so I am experienced in training puppies and younger dogs. I am always up for learning more about other dogs and their personalities as well. They are such intriguing and beautiful animals. I make sure to walk dogs before and after work. Dog park a few times a week. (If that’s in their routine) And lots of cuddle time! Brushing and brushing teeth are weekly tasks normally. I ask for the pets’ normal routine. This way, it is less stressful on them that their routine doesn’t change as much with their person/people gone.

About: Growing up, I took the most responsibility for caring for our family German Shepherd. Her name was Daisy and I was responsible for teaching her how to sit and stay, we went on daily walks when the weather was nice and even though she was considered a family pet she was mine. I do not have training skills past basic household tricks but I have plenty of love to give. I don’t have much of a set routine at work. I am technically full-time, but my schedule varies drastically from week to week. This is why I have my booking two weeks in advance so I can plan accordingly. Other than my job, I am a homebody. I do love being outside and going for walks/hikes when the weather is nicer. I’m very courteous and if you leave specific instructions for your home, I will follow them to a T. As for my own home, I have two cats that have free range over every room. I have no plants at all (let alone anything that would be dangerous for animals), a water fountain that’s plugged up for continuous running water, and three litter boxes throughout the home. I am more equipped for cats when it comes to toys, scratching post/cat trees and treats.

About: Ever since I was a baby I have had a dog in my household. As soon as I could get a dog of my own I got Bentley, my German Shepherd/Coon Hound mix. I adopted him at only 6 weeks old back in 2020. Growing up neighbors would ask me to cat sit when they were on vacation which included changing litter, feeding, and playing with the cat daily. Additionally, I have been asked to help walk dogs and to house sit in the past! I live in the Hamburg area and work full time at the University of Kentucky. My traditional work hours are 8am-5pm M-F with an hour lunch break. I would be willing to carve out time in my lunch to walk or care for pets. I do not work weekends, and have the most availability to care for pets during that time! I am extremely trustworthy and will abide by any rules you have for your fur baby. I am experienced with crating, and have no concerns with helping to put your animal back in a crate after caring for it. My fur baby, Bentley, is also extremely dog friendly so if your animal needs socialization with another, I could provide that! Unfortunately, due to the nature of my living environment I cannot board myself as I live in an apartment.

Animals and caring for them are my life! Here’s my why: My grandmother lost her husband at a young age. She never dated again. She took in dogs and taking care of those dogs became her life purpose. Growing up, I would always want to visit my grandmother so that I could stay up all night with her and take care of the dogs. It became our thing. About: My family has had dogs since before I was born. We have had labs, mutts, pitbulls, and any other breed the humane society found for us. We are a family of foster fails, but have so much love for our furry found family. One of our pitbulls at home is a certified therapy dog thanks to countless hours my sister spent at trainings (and I happened to also attend because she needed a ride). I am also lucky enough to have a personal dog-trainer on call if needed, and I have had my fair share of experiences with giving dogs any medications they may need. I have dog-sat for puppy and senior St. Bernard’s as well as sheep dogs, little dogs, and every dog in-between. I am unemployed, so I have plenty of hours in the day to care for your furry friend. I just graduated college with a bachelors in Biology, and am taking a gap year before starting up vet school. When I am not pet-sitting, I am volunteering at Lexington humane society. So my schedule is flexible and I am more than happy to work around what you and your pet need. I have a fenced back yard that I like to let the dogs play in. I’ll usually take the dogs on a walk in the morning and then the evening. In between, if the dog is up to it, we’ll spend some time outside maybe throwing a ball or favorite toy. I usually ask that the owner gets a list together for their dog’s daily schedule, so I can keep the dog’s life as normal and comfortable as possible. The list I ask for usually includes what time meals are, when the dogs go out, how often you want them exercising, what meds are needed, how long you’ll need me, etc. It all just depends on what you as the owner are looking for.
