“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ruth! From the moment I met her, I felt reassured about leaving my little fur baby in her care. I was initially concerned because my pup can be quite the handful, but Ruth quickly proved to be my personal dog whisperer. My dog gravitated toward her almost immediately, which was a huge relief for me. It was clear that Ruth has a natural way with animals, understanding their needs and behavior effortlessly. What truly stood out was her exceptional communication. Ruth was extremely responsive, sending me regular updates and adorable pictures that allowed me to stay connected and informed about how my dog was doing. I never felt anxious or unsure during my time away, thanks to her dedication. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares about animals and provides outstanding service, look no further than Ruth. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone in need of a dog sitter. About: I've always been a lover of all animals especially fur babies. They hold a special place in my heart ever since I was younger, volunteering every chance I get at the local shelters while growing up and also into adulthood, donating, fundraising, cleaning up wherever I was needed afterschool before heading home for the day. That's when I vowed to have all my pets as rescues. And encouraged my family and friends to do the same, and they did without hesitation because they know the good it did for the shelters ,plus I feel like rescue pets are the sweetest if i do say so myself. I'm hoping to have an opportunity to care for your furbabies also, and treat them as my own. Thank you for your time. Semper Fi! I currently work from home so my time is very flexible to have more time with your fur baby! I have extra hands to help in being a rover team member to help with the sweet fur babies out there. I have a lot of yard space even though it’s not fenced , there’s a lot of outside to explore. I have 2 fur baby’s to keep company also. A sr dog and a new adopted pup!
“I think my dog prefers Tanisha and being in her home over being with me now! The photos showed so much love, care, accommodation, and time. Her home is beautiful and I had zero concerns while on my trip. Tanisha is the best for my elderly pup.”
“Jalil is the best. He took my fur baby on hikes & sent photos while he boarded him overnight. I was a nervous wreck but i fully trusted his expertise & I can tell he is passionate about what he does. No regrets & I can’t wait to continue working with him. Smokey loves his new friend!”

“They were the best people in the whole world my dog was timid to anybody and everything else but us but they got her eating out of their hands I highly recommend tours for any sitting”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Andrea! She took such great care of my dog, Diamond, and went above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable and loved while I was away. Andrea sent regular updates and photos, which really helped ease my mind. It was clear that Diamond was happy, relaxed, and enjoying her time. Andrea treated her like one of her own. When I picked Diamond up, she was calm, content, and well cared for — a huge relief! Andrea is warm, professional, and clearly has a true love for animals. I’ll absolutely be booking with her again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy and kind dog sitter!”

Will definitely be booking with her again and recommending her to our friends and family.”

Jordyn was awesome! She was so sweet and took great care of our dog, Blue. She sent lots of pictures every day, kept us updated throughout the stay, and was always very communicative. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Blue was in such good hands. We will absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!
My family and I thank Josi for watching our dog. After we had our meet and greet we felt comfortable with boarding our dog for a few days. We loved how Josi communicated by sending photos, videos and messages letting us know how Mochi was doing. We appreciate Josi a lot for making this process so smooth as first time dog owners. Thank you Josi.

La Shannah was VERY communicative, provided lots of photos and updates. Pleased that Kobie got along with her dogs and had opportunity to socialize. Will definitely use her services again when next we’re in the Atlanta area. Thank you for taking great care of Kobie.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
