“Patti was absolutely amazing! She took care of my dog for 10 days while I was away, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She kept me updated with pictures and messages almost every day, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was happy and well cared for. I will definitely be using Patti again for future trips, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and compassionate to care for their fur babies. Thank you, Patti, for taking such wonderful care of my boy!”

“Can’t thank Trinise enough for being by so responsive and accommodating for my dog’s last minute stay. She took great care of my dog over the course of the weeklong stay.”

“I will definitely be booking with Joshua again! He kept us updated with pictures and texts about our babygirl throughout her time there. Our furbabie seemed very happy there. For sure booking again 👍🏽”

About: "Can I pet your dog?" If you've ever walked past us on the street, you've probably heard my daughter, Lorelai, ask that question. She has never met a dog (or cat) she didn't want to love. The truth is, she's not the only one. Our family has always believed pets are family. Our beloved dog, Cinnamon Roll, was so special that he became the star of my children's book. When your pet stays with us, they'll be welcomed into a joyful, loving home where they'll receive plenty of attention, playtime, walks, cuddles, and photo updates. Whether your dog loves to play fetch or prefers curling up for a nap, I'll make sure they feel safe and loved while you're away. As a mom, I know how hard it is to leave someone you love in someone else's care. My goal is to give you peace of mind and give your pet a little vacation of their own. I can't wait to meet your furry family member. (And yes... Lorelai will probably ask if she can pet them. ❤️🐾) Pets fit naturally into our daily routine! I work from home most days, so your pet won't be left alone for long periods. Morning walks, playtime in our fenced yard, cuddle breaks, and plenty of potty breaks are all part of the day. I keep my schedule flexible to make sure every pet gets the attention they deserve. Weekend stays are always welcome, and I can accommodate many holiday bookings as well. Your pet's safety and happiness are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely run and play, and a clean, smoke-free home where they can relax just like they would at home. I only accept a limited number of pets at a time so I can give each one the attention they deserve. I'll follow your feeding schedule, medication instructions, and daily routine as closely as possible, and I'll send plenty of photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your furry family member is safe, loved, and having fun.
“Jacalyn was so amazing with our pet! Our dog still has a lot of puppy in him and he needed some more socializing with other people and dogs. At first he didn’t want to go with Jacalyn and she took extra time to make our dog feel more comfortable. By the time we returned, our dog was very comfortable being around Jacalyn. The Cannon Family”

“Susan had such a great time at Cathy's! She ran into the backyard and immediately pointed at the chickens; it was the first time I had seen her point! She thought she was in doggie heaven and was not ready to leave for transport the next morning. She was running through the house, in and out of the backyard, just having a blast all night. Thanks, Cathy!”

“Miss Pamela was great! She looked after my girl for a long weekend and she had the best time ever. Loved all the photos and communication during the stay, will definitely rebook next time we go away.”

“I had a great experience boarding my puppy, Pilot! Veronica took amazing care of him and made me feel completely at ease. She kept me updated, and I could tell he was in good hands the entire time. When I picked him up, he was happy and well cared for. I highly recommend her!”

“Nicole was wonderful! She has the same breed of pups that I have which was really a coincidence. She met us at a dog park to meet the pups and asked questions about them to better understand their temperament, feeding schedule and any questions or concerns I had. She sent me daily updates about what the pups were up to, and any new friends they met during their stay. They seemed to be having a blast! Luna (my little one with separation anxiety) sat right by Nicole (on her desk) while she worked so I know her calm demeanor really helped her get comfortable and feel safe with her. They came home happy and tired. Nicole will definitely be our go to when we need a pup sitter! Highly recommend ☺️”
“Jalil sent pictures regularly and kept me updated while he provided boarding Nipsey. That made me feel so much better while away. I knew he was in good care. Every picture was of my boy smiling and enjoying himself. We love Jalil!”

“Preston our pitty loves Janii and she knows how to handle dogs. He comes home from her house tired, full, safe, and happy. Perfect! Janii is always quick to respond as well.”

“Denise’s services are superb!! I had to travel for work and she came through yet again. My Diamond had a ball and was shown much love. She loves the interaction with the other dogs and the chance to hang out and play with friends. Thank you Denise for being so reliable. Denise is always my go to sitter!!! Nothing but the BEST!!!”
About: Hi, my name is Ashley, and I am a middle school educator. Outside of teaching and working with students, I have a huge love for dogs. I have three family dogs, two girls and one boy, and I truly enjoy each of their unique personalities. Funny enough, my boy dog’s birthday is the day before mine, so I always joke that we have the same personality! I have always been the type of person who instantly notices dogs wherever I go. Whether I’m walking around town or traveling on vacation, I’m usually the one saying, “Oh my gosh, look at that dog! I want to go pet them!” I even find myself feeling emotional when I see stray dogs because I wish every dog had a loving home. Animals bring so much joy, and being around dogs has always been something that makes me genuinely happy. I am currently a school teacher, so during summer break I have open availability and more flexibility to provide pet care throughout the day. Once the school year begins, my availability will mainly be during evenings throughout the week and on weekends. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my goal is to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I understand that every pet has their own routine and personality, so I do my best to follow the care instructions provided by their owner. Pet care for me includes making sure they receive their meals on time, have fresh water, go on their daily walks or potty breaks, and get plenty of attention. I also love spending time playing, cuddling, and giving them affection so they feel cared for while their family is away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
