“Anais was a great sitter! I always feel more comfortable leaving my cats when I know that they are in the hands of a true animal lover, and Anais is definitely that. She was a great communicator and able to follow instructions on giving our special needs cat an inhaler dose every day. She event went above and beyond by trimming my cats’ nails! I would definitely book with her again.”

“Analicia was a fantastic sitter, responsive and reliable. Came home to find everything in its place and a happy cat. Would absolutely book again!”

“Korin was on time and communicative! She was great with Tater and I really appreciated how patient she was when Tater was WAY over excited when she came over for a meet and greet. Would love to book her again in the future!”

“Megan is awesome. We have two fairly reactive dogs who require a special touch. Megan was amazing and gave wonderful updates. We will book with her again!”

About: Our pets are family. My approach is a balance of attention and simple structure that makes for happy socialization. My partner and I have always had cats and dogs and I have experience with everything from puppyhood to the special healthcare challenges of senior pets (including administration of oral meds and injected insulin) I used to walk dogs back in college as a part-time job. Now, I am excited to make some new 4-legged friends and get out for some exercise together. I work from home part-time and with a very flexible schedule. I do long walks in the morning and afternoon and, if staying with us, in addition to walks, your doggie will have full access to the yard during the day to sunbathe and play. If house sitting at yours, I will be on hand with your pet at a minimum in the morning, for a few hours mid-day, and then all evening and night. We have a large fenced yard and two small, friendly pups (9lb young female yorkie and 12lb female coton de tulear) to play with. "The girls" are not crated at night, but I am happy to set up your pup's normal sleeping area if staying with us. For dog walking, I do 30-45 minute adventures with priority given to clients located in Oakland's Laurel, Dimond, Maxwell Park, and Redwood Heights neighborhoods. Ideally, your dog loves walking with some friends, but we can customize for personal pup needs.

About: I am very active and can accommodate to all petcare needs as I did with my own from puppy stage to old age and only aspired to give her the best life everyday! I trained my own pitbull to be sweet and gently with kids and all people that she worked for a school and was a therapy to most people. I currently work remote and have the ability to give your pet lots of attention if needed and to be active with them while you are away. At my own home, I have a lot of space for a pet of any size. My living space also has an outdoor shared yard that is enclosed to keep all the dogs safe and relaxing place to get some air and sniff around.

About: I love taking area dogs for lovely walks in the neighborhood and looking to expand with a few more clients. I'm currently pursuing Veterinary Assistant certification online. I'm also a small dog volunteer at Oakland Animal Services and occationally foster dogs in need. I'm currently self-employed working out of my home with a very flexible schedule provide services. I am available morning, mid-day and evening walks on weekdays. I suggest arranging a meet and greet to get to know each other and see if it's a good fit. I would like to understand about the pet's personality, routine and any special needs.

About: Rover is an amazing thing in my family's life. Our whole household REALLY LOVES DOGS. We love all the different dog personalities we get to know. We genuinely appreciate pet families trusting us to care for their pet(s). Boarding is our most used and preferred service of the Tree House. We have many regular clients who use our Boarding and Doggy Day Care services. We love all sizes of dogs and the full range of dog personalities. We host up to 4 guest dogs at a time and are very conscientious of the dogs we host and how they will interact. Therefore, if your dog does not do well with other dogs, our house may not be a great fit for your pet. We get requests for exclusive bookings, and where we can accommodate these requests, we will. ****price for exclusive bookings is 2X our service rate, currently $150/night or day care slot**** We require all new clients to do a meet- & -greet, so we can only accommodate last-minute new clients if we get a solid referral from another sitter, you are a friend of the family, or one of our regular clients referred you. We have found our guests do much better when they have been here and sniffed about before their stay. Your dog(s) will be loved and treated with the utmost respect by every member of our household and any other guests. Our home is very relaxed, and our backyard is a dog paradise with lots of shade and different areas for dogs to claim their own space. We always have a crew of dogs, so your dog will have plenty of stimulation and exercise while at our home. We work from home and are here nearly all the time. Pickup and drop-off times are flexible—the key is communication and consideration—fees may apply where either is lacking. The yard has plenty of room for guests to stretch it out and find their own space. We are happy to accommodate crating, and problem children will have some sort of time out until they can ground and be good guests. We are not disciplinarians but are pretty good at setting boundaries thru timeouts and rewards.

“Zara has taken care of our cat, Emmy, on three different occasions. She’s an absolutely wonderful pet caregiver, and I recommend her highly. She’s responsible, reliable, a great communicator, and extremely kind. Her ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures of Emmy’s food bowl and litter box put my mind at ease, and the care she shows by petting and playing with her make my heart glad. I look forward to working with her again!”

About: We know what it feels like to try to find a good pet sitter and leave a fur baby in someone else's care. We live with two teens, and we are currently without a family pet, so look forward to loving yours! We have experience with senior dogs and cats (as well as chickens and rabbits) and with medicine administration to ill dogs. We will only ever book one household at a time (unless you have a special request), so there will never be other animals here unexpectedly. Mike grew up with dogs, Nicola grew up with cats, and we have had a family rabbit, chickens, and dog in recent years. We work from home and are flexible and ready to meet the needs of dogs visiting our home. If your pet needs care in your home, we will make sure to meet the schedule of care you provide. The yard is fenced, we can crate your dog if preferred, but just want your dog to feel safe and comfortable. If your pet needs care in your home, we will make sure to be considerate of your and your pet's spaces and routines.

7. Laura O.
“Laura has been an amazing caregiver for my dog, Reese, time and time again. I’ve hired her multiple times during holidays and work trips, and she always exceeds my expectations. Reese feels comfortable, happy, and completely trusts her. I’m usually nervous about leaving my dog with strangers or at dog hotels, but Laura provides the perfect solution by staying at my home so Reese can remain in his own familiar space. It’s never easy to be away from my dog for an extended period, but knowing Laura’s dedication and love for dogs gives me peace of mind. I highly recommend her!”

8. Emma H.
“Emma, is really one of the best pet sitters we’ve ever had. She is really professional and most importantly caring and loving towards our dogs. She is really in her element with animals as she is proactive about giving them plenty of attention and walks. We are so happy to consider her our primary go-to dog care taker. We’ve actually gone so far as to have her fly all the way out to our home in Hawaii… she’s that good!”

9. Karla M.

10. Chad A.

“Chad has all the perfect traits of a dog sitter. He loves every dog, no matter its size or temperament. He is kind, patient, and responsible. I have known his own dogs over the past quarter century, and they have all been very happy, long-lived companions. I would not hesitate to leave my beloved companions on Chad's care.”

12. Nicola & Michael A.
“I can’t sing the praises of Nicola and her family enough, both as pet carers and as all around responsible and considerate people. They began vacation-feeding my cats 17 years ago, and continue to this day. I’ve also had the opportunity to see them with their own dog, who is sadly gone now; their rabbit, also sadly gone to rabbit heaven, and when they had chickens. Any animal would be lucky indeed to be cared for by Nicola and her family.”
