About: **please note I have a day job that takes me away from my house M-F from 5:30am until 4:15pm…all boarded pets will be let out to potty immediately upon returning home ** I have been taken care of dogs for over 15 years. My first dog 2 when I adopted him and I cared for him until he crossed over the rainbow bridge when he passed at 10yrs old. I also raised two puppies from 8 weeks until they crossed over as well. I work full time away from home Monday thru Friday, so your pet would be alone for about 8hrs week days. I will make sure they are let out before I leave and let out again immediately once I return home. I am able to walk dogs / check in on family pets after 4:30pm on week days. I have a deck and a 6ft tall fenced in yard. I do not have small children in my home. I also do not have any other pets that may not get along with another dog. I will always care for your pet as if it were my own.
About: I have grown up with pets of all kinds my whole life. I have owned dogs, cats, small reptiles, rabbits, fish. I have over 25 years of Petcare/animal experience. I have professionally cared for animals for 15 years. I have worked in Petcare in a pet store caring for the in-store animals: fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds, pockets pets, insects. I have volunteered at an animal shelter. I have worked my adult career in a primary veterinary clinic, and a specialty veterinary referral hospital. I have lots of experience with cats and dogs. I have pet sat for many friends and family. I have personally rescued several senior pets- cats and dogs, and I am very comfortable with medication administration, physical ambulatory assistance, and incontinence support. I have established and maintained many personal aquarium & terrariums of my own, as well as for family & friends. I have my weekends open for time to spend and company to give for a sweet pet in need of some special attention while their owners take care of some things. I work full time at a veterinary referral hospital and am available Saturday-Sunday (all day), and currently Monday & Tuesday Evenings. I live with a senior dog, and 2 cats. They are all spayed/neutered, nails trimmed, and fully vaccinated. My cats keep to themselves, and my senior Cavvie, Frannie LOVES the company of other dogs!!❤️ I have a fenced in back yard, and I am only a minute walk away from a big community park.
“To say they take care of your Fur babies like Family would be an under statement. They are kind and attentive and loving to my Baby Nayla everytime they have her. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Highly recommended.”

“Ashley was absolutely incredible! Ashley, her husband, and all three of her pups were very inviting to Stella and Luna. They are definitely a dog family and treated ours as one of their own. She constantly sent us updates and made sure that we knew what our dogs were doing at every point. If there was one person I trust to watch our dogs, it’s Ashley. Highly recommend and we will definitely be going back!”

“Charity is wonderful with my pup and he loves her - he runs into her house without a backwards glance. And I love the pictures she sends. We never worry about him when he is with Charity.”

“Sandra is our favorite! Went away for Thanksgiving and luckily Sandra was available to sit my baby, Irma. Sandra sends many photos everyday and makes me feel like my Irma is having a great time! When I picked up Irma, she looked like she would have rather stayed! 100/100 Sandra is the best around!”
“Catherine and her family are by far the best pet sitters we’ve found, outside of family and close friends. There are not enough superlatives to express our gratitude! for the love and care they show our beloved Harry!!!! Catherine is always willing to go the extra mile and make sure Harry receives all the cuddles he deserves and more! To quote Tina Turner, she’s “Simply the BEST!!! 💖💖💖”

“Annette is the best! I actually hesitate to leave a review because I don't want all of her spaces to fill up! Your dog will be welcomed into the fold and Annette will ask you about - and then pay attention to - their needs. She has been fostering for so long, she has literally seen everything – and can deal with everything. Teddy had a great time, and I left with new insights into her behaviors. Annette is a gem.”

“Poppy loves Heidi and you can tell that Heidi loves her! Not only does Heidi give excellent care but she is flexible when we need to adjust our schedule! I cannot recommend Heidi highly enough!!”

“5 star dog sitter once again. We needed a last minute sitter for a pup and luckily Jennifer was open for the time we needed. As always, exceptional dog sitting!!! She keeps you updated multiple times a day, with text and pictures, so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. It's always nice leaving your pet with someone and knowing they will be taken care of and that is exactly what you get with Jennifer!”

“Lucki had a great time with Nadia. She provided communication and pictures throughout the stay. We felt very comfortable with leaving Lucki with Nadia. We look forward to using her services again in the future.”

“This was our puppy’s second time staying overnight with Rachel and Jason, and we couldn’t be happier. They send pictures and updates, which brings us so much peace of mind while we’re away. They give him so much love, and it’s clear he has the best time with them. We will definitely be back and can’t recommend them enough!”

“Ruth and Agnes are simply amazing! I got reassurances when I was missing my pup. Then updates and pictures everyday. I could tell Dustin was spoiled with love. Thank you! Highly recommend anyone looking for a pup sitter.”

“We are so glad we found Olivia to care for our girls! This was her first time watching them and she was reliable and excellent in giving us updates with pictures of our dogs. Overall, we are very happy and so are Luna & Libby! 🐶 🐕”

“Laura was so great with Teddy! He loved playing with Gin!!! You can tell she really cares, and we felt totally comfortable leaving him with her. Selfishly, I almost don’t want to tell people how awesome she is 😉 We’d definitely book with her again if she’ll have him!”

“Nat &Ally are amazing, this is by far the best Rover service that I ever had and I have been using Rovers for more than 3 years. They are very attentive, they do a meeting before the drop off day, they truly want to make sure my furbaby will feel welcome and safe. They asked all the right questions, food, timing, snacks, what is he allowed or not to do and so on. They have a backyard which is great for my chocolate lab to play and they have a playful dog that was perfect for Rocco. We even got a drawing from Rocco, from one of the kids, that made me cry…Happy cry! They are all super sweet. Love their vibe and respect. I recommend them 100%. I would be looking forward to work with them more often.”

“Michelle is the friendliest and most accommodating dog sitter we’ve ever had. We appreciate her for taking good care of Max. We highly recommend and would avail her service in the future”
“Lottie Dotti appears to have had the best time - I know this because she has been sleeping now for the last 24 hrs 😂 played hard!! I appreciate all the photos and videos so I know my baby is doing well and happy. Will definitely use again!!”

“Nina had a great stay with Rene during Thanksgiving. Rene is very caring and Nina feels right at home with her. We are so pleased that Nina can receive lots of love and care when we have to be out of town.”

Sarah C is amazing! She has been the most professional and accommodating for my dog Saint. The care that she provides for animals in her home is evident upon arrival. The energy is correct and feels welcoming and stable. I have absolutely no doubts that my dog Saint is taken great care of. He’s very excited to arrive each time that he goes to visit. Thank you Sarah and I would highly recommend her!

Nadia watched my timid Maggie over the weekend. She sent me several photos and updates thru out my dogs stay, which put me at ease knowing Maggie was being well cared for and doing fine. Nadia has a dog Lego, who quickly became Maggie’s buddy and made her stay even more comfortable. I highly recommend Nadia and will definitely take advantage of her again to watch my dog.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
