At different points she has taken care of my German shepherd that was on chemotherapy, my adopted Rottweiler that I adopted as she was recovering from very bad physical abuse and my Belgian malinois that was also a victim of physical abuse prior to adoption. I have three cats that Emily pet sits. Two are seniors and one, Puka, has a health issue needing medicine, but this tiny, sweet, shy cat is terrified by people she doesn’t know. I have had issues with other pet sitters actually being frustrated by trying to find and get hold of Puka for her medicine. You can imagine that energy further antagonized Puka. Emily knew just what to do to make Puka feel safe. Emily laid on the floor near Puka for a period of time until Puka could see that Emily wasn’t a threat. Imagine my surprise at the video of Puka coming to Emily and rubbing her head against Emily’s hand! After that, Emily became the only one I trust to pet sit my babies!”
