“Wonderful land for our boys to run on and have fun outside. They enjoyed playing with other dogs there and Emily took great care of them. There are so many places for dogs to explore and they have daily walks around the property. Highly recommend this sitter.”

“Puppy party! I was worried my 80lb handful of a puppy was gonna be Trouble but Ashley did amazing with him! I got several pictures over our few day boarding and she was super nice and easy to deal with. She was babysitting a few other dogs at the same time but you could tell she paid attention to them individually enough to discribe how my dog sleeps lol Couldn't recommend her more!”

“Huck had such a great time! Communication was great and we loved the picture updates. Definitely felt at ease having our boy with Sarah. Already looking at our calendar for his next stay with her!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for over 10 years, with skills for basic training. Your pets happiness and safety is my priority. Thank you! “Our 1.5yr old puppy, Birdie, was in the very best hands with Melissa during a recent boarding! Melissa is thorough in her intake, noting Birdie's food allergies and current schedule, and is warm and gentle in helping pups acclimate to a new environment. Melissa maintained Birdie's schedule, giving her plenty of outdoor and play time, and administered Birdie's medication, giving us peace of mind to focus on family. We enjoyed the handful of photos Melissa sent along the way and always appreciate her responsive communication. Melissa is deeply professional and the most thorough and warm caretaker and our expectations are always surpassed when Birdie is with Melissa!”

“Gabby took great care of my Bonnie girl while we were away on vacation. She asked good questions during our meet and greet. I am so glad that she was willing to have Bonnie as the only dog in the house for the majority of the 2 weeks we were away. Bonnie doesn't get along with many other dogs, so when her stay overlapped with another dog that was there for a couple days before her, Gabby immediately let us know and was prepared to keep them separated. Gabby gave us frequent updates and pictures that helped reassure us that she was doing well. All of the instructions I left for her feeding were followed exactly as well. I am so grateful that we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that Bonnie was being taken care of as if I were there myself.”

“Sadie loves staying with Heidi and her family when we are away. I know she is taken care of and can enjoy our trip! She also loves playing with Heidi's dogs and running in the yard! I appreciate the daily photos and videos Heidi shares of Sadie so much 💖”

“Kosmo and Luna had a great time staying with Lori! We did a meet and greet before their stay, which helped Kosmo get comfortable. He has difficulties with introductions, and Lori was very understanding of the space he needed. She sent me photos each day of the pups and they looked so happy! Kosmo and Luna can't wait to come back!”
“This is our second time using Erin. We rearranged our schedule a bit to accommodate her because I was more comfortable using her again than other sitters. I am nervous about leaving my little Lucy with someone because she is pretty used to being home with someone all day. With Erin, she or another family member is home with the dog most if not all the time. She also sends lots of pics and updates which is such a comfort when you are stressed about leaving your dog. My pup seemed vey content and got lots of attention! Would not hesitate to book Erin again!”

“Terri was absolutely wonderful. She let us do a meet & greet before leaving my pups which really gave me peace of mind. She had a nice & clean environment. Daily reassurance of how they have been doing along with a ton of pictures and to top it of she was so kind to gift them some new toys to keep!”

“Yzabella and her family took AMAZING care of Louie. She was so responsive and sent many photos and videos. I knew he was in great, caring hands. We will absolutely be using her services again very soon 😊”

Oral medication given, daily exercising. I am an animal lover, I have had some sort of animal all my life ie; fish, birds, dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs. “Leia loved being with Tara! We received pics and reports regularly on her stay which was very conforting since it was her first visit. There is a totally fenced back yard for security. I would recommend Tara to anyone considering daycare/boarding.”

“Absolutely wonderful experience! Needed a last minute sitter for my fur baby as I unexpectedly needed to go out of town for a family matter. Not only was Dimitri flexible and professional, he provided me daily photos and updates! He followed all of the feeding instructions perfectly and took my pup to the dog park daily. I highly recommend Dimitri and will be using his services again in the future!”

“Molly was amazing! She cared for Luna for 2 weeks while I had some work trips. I felt very comfortable leaving Luna with Molly during that time, and she kept me updated on how she was doing. Luna was a very happy doggo when I picked her up, so I know she had the best time with Molly. Would definitely recommend Molly to anyone :)”

“Jennifer was so great and easy to work with and our pups came home so happy. We will be sure to use her and her family again. Thank you again for taking great care of our pups.”
“We are incredibly grateful for the care Ellen gave Dugger and Maya this week. We had a last minute change in our schedule and needed to extend their stay by a day. Then on pickup day, I was going to arrive very late. She kindly and lovingly kept them an extra night without hesitation. While they were with her, she prepared delicious dinners for them, sent us videos and photos, and cared for them with so much love and attention. It is very clear that she truly loves what she does. Dugger and Maya absolutely love going to her farm, and we always feel at peace knowing they are in such good hands. We could not ask for better care.”

Juliana said s very knowledgeable about dog pack behaviors. Our initial meet n greet with her own dogs was outdoors, controlled and successful. By the time Daisy entered the house she felt comfortable and right at home. She didn’t even follow me to the door when I left! Pick up was a breeze. I could easily tell Daisy had been loved and well cared for. Juliana sent updates and pics throughout the stay. 100% recommend her services.

Molly was amazing! She cared for Luna for 2 weeks while I had some work trips. I felt very comfortable leaving Luna with Molly during that time, and she kept me updated on how she was doing. Luna was a very happy doggo when I picked her up, so I know she had the best time with Molly. Would definitely recommend Molly to anyone :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
