About: Having grown up with pets my entire life (from pigs and peacocks to dogs and guinea pigs), I understand the importance of providing great care to all furry friends. I have two dogs of my own, a 4 year old lab and 7 year old Cavapoo. I am happy to provide play time, snuggle time, walks, and medication (if necessary) for puppies to senior dogs. I know leaving your fur baby in the care of someone else can be stressful, so I try to alleviate that stress by being responsive, providing updates, and loving on your pet while you are away. **please note, I do not provide care for aggressive dogs. Thank you for understanding!!! I have plenty of time to care for your pet. I work part time from home, and am able to provide walks, play time, and couch time if you have a snuggler. I have a fenced in yard with two friendly dogs. For them, we enjoy nightly walks, afternoon fetch, and morning treats. If you board in our home, your pet must be dog and kid friendly. At your home, I can provide play time, walks, and tons of love and affection.
“Kelise was amazing with Trooper. He is very skittish so we were nervous about how he would adjust. She was great with him and he appeared to be comfortable, so much so that he wasn't ready to come back home yet. Lol She was communicative and sent lots of pictures. We look forward to using her again in the future! 10/10!”

“Sastuki was excellent with our two dogs! She handled our very anxious older dog incredibly well and was very patient with our younger dog who is still full of puppy energy. She gave us many regular updates and pictures throughout the stay. Overall, she was an excellent sitter and we would definitely use her again!”

“Terri was the epitome of perfect. She was just what my pet Blossom needed. Attention, affection, love, she filled all of those things, and then some. She took many pictures kept us up-to-date, and eased my anxiety!!! I would use her again and again and again, top-notch for sure!!!”

“We are so glad we found Olivia to care for our girls! This was her first time watching them and she was reliable and excellent in giving us updates with pictures of our dogs. Overall, we are very happy and so are Luna & Libby! 🐶 🐕”

“Adrienne went above and beyond for us during an extended trip, even picking up our custom dog food order when we forgot to leave enough for the pups during their stay. Highly recommend!”

“Laura was so great with Teddy! He loved playing with Gin!!! You can tell she really cares, and we felt totally comfortable leaving him with her. Selfishly, I almost don’t want to tell people how awesome she is 😉 We’d definitely book with her again if she’ll have him!”

“Our dogs were incredibly well cared for during their stay with John and his wife. They were very thoughtful in sending updates and photos. I really feel that they cared about our dogs and didn’t see this as just a job. They are wonderful people and your dogs will be in great hands with them.”

“Ms.Rosa and her family are excellent sitters!! They welcomed and cared for our dog as if he was a permanent part of their family. We will definitely use them again when we go away. 😊”

“Alexsys was amazing with Luna! She was gracious and communicative. She also sent many updates and pictures throughout the day and made me feel so comfortable. My dog had an amazing weekend 💜”

“Tiffany was amazing! I hated leaving my 1 year old puppy behind when we went away, but Tiffany quickly eased my concerns. I no longer felt guilty when I started receiving pictures of Aspen playing with Tiffqny's puppy and having a great time! She will definitely be my go to for dog sitting and I would highly recommend her!”

“It was a last minute booking, but Cindy and her family were wonderful with my puppy. She had a blast at her place with her Shitzu pup. Great communication, daily update, and very patient with my puppy. Definitely rebook in the future!”

“The BEST dog sitter! Hannah and her family welcomed our two pups with open arms!! She was genuinely just a wonderful person. She understood that pups can be anxious when staying at a new place so she was extremely loving and made sure they felt right at home! She sent pictures and updates everyday which I really appreciated as well! We will 100% use her again when we are traveling through the area. Thank you Hannah and family!”

“Chris and Gerry are so nice, loving, and kind. My girls felt at ease while staying with them. It helps that they only take one client at a time. If you are looking for someone to love your babies like their own, look no further. Definitely book with Chris and Gerry!”

“Awesome and lovely dog loving family. Knight had a great time. I appreciate their flexibility and accommodations when I had a delayed travel flight departure, that affected my pick-up time.”

“Jessica was wonderful, I’m not sure my poodle missed me at all. She sent me regular updates, pictures and videos. Sometimes he was happily lap sitting. Sometimes she videoed him playing with toys her dog or interacting with her family. I was gone 10 days. I was happy to see him doing so well. He is a picky eater so I had sent cubed up chicken breast to mix with his food. When she ran out she cooked him another, which was going way above what I expected. I would definitely take my dog to Jessica again.”

Dimitri has been nothing short of AWESOME with Snow. This was a long stay so we were nervous, but we got pictures everyday which made us feel comfortable and snow looked so happy in all the pictures aswell. We really appreciate Dimitri and will definitely book again when we need the help.

Catherine and her family are by far the best pet sitters we’ve found, outside of family and close friends. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
