“Cece was very responsive and friendly. My cats seemed to warm up to her almost immediately and I feel very comfortable having her care for my fur babies while I was away. I would definitely recommend her and would love to book her again!”

About: I truly LOVE animals, I’d adopt them all if I could. Whether I’m caring for energetic puppies, independent cats, or senior pets who need a little extra patience, I provide loving, attentive care tailored to their needs. I’ll also water your plants, bring in your mail, and send plenty of photo updates so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. I’m new to rover but not to pet sitting :) I work full-time with a schedule that is typically either 7:00 AM–2:00 PM or 1:00 PM–9:00 PM. This flexibility allows me to spend quality time with pets before and after work, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of attention. I carefully consider my schedule before accepting bookings to ensure I can meet each pet’s needs and maintain their regular routine. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. I care for every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and on their normal routine while you’re away. Whether that means long walks, playtime, cuddle sessions, or simply providing a calm and reassuring presence, I’ll make sure your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your furry family member is in good hands.

About: **About me** Hello pet friends! My name is Taylor and I currently live with my wife, son, two daughters, and one dog, Charlie! I work as a high school math teacher and my wife telecommutes from home. We love Charlie who is an intricate part of our family! Nothing is better than coming home and snuggling with the dog(s) on our couch! **About my home/services** We have a lovely 1800 sq. ft house with a dog that would love a companion for the day, night, or weekend! We keep our house clean except for the many dog toys which can be spread across the house while we play. We have a great outdoor area which is fully enclosed by fencing!! Great for playing fetch or just enjoying some sunshine! Between my wife and me, there will always be supervision of your pet. **About my neighborhood** We live in a culdesac which has very little traffic in a quiet neighborhood. Our backyard is our main method for dogs to use the restroom but we can always accomodate or walk dogs on leash through the neighborhood. **What to expect** Your dog can become part of our pack! We usually take our dog out to use the restroom every 3-4 hours. Charlie is a great snuggler and loves getting comfy on the couch. Additionally when feeling spunky we play fetch, tug of war, and run around the house! **Special rules or requests** Dogs must be friendly to our dog and be good with my son who is 12 and my daughters who are 8 and 3 years old. If any of this sounds unsure, this might not be the fit for staying with us...Otherwise we can't wait! My wife is always home so we can accompany dogs 24/7. We have an enclosed backyard to accommodate many bathroom breaks. We make sure to keep close watch on all our visitors! We have one dog and three kids and your dog will fit right into the pack! Whether your dog is active or likes to snuggle on the couch we are ready!

I am able to take pets on long walks or runs or just be with them while parents are away! I am currently working 5 days a week but am done by 4:00 everyday giving me plenty of time to work with your pets! I can walk/run with them and stay overnight any day of the week! I am very flexible so whatever you need I can most likely do! I have lots of experience with pets so I will always be sure to take them out and walk them or get them engaged in an activity. I know how to administer many medications both oral and injections so there is no need to worry about your pets health while I am taking care of them!
“Ava is absolutely amazing! I had flight changes and a small home renovation going on during her stay and she was nothing but understanding, accommodating and reassuring! I will 100% rebook with Ava! Thank you so much for everything!”

“Anna was available to check in on my dog multiple times during the day while I was out of town. She was able to help give me peace of mind about my dog being looked after and given walks.”

“Bridgette has been very reliable and has been flexible when I needed to change a booking last minute. My dog Roscoe can be very fearful at times and he liked her immediately!”
“Phenomenal; the word I'd use for Keira. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me and my pups. I had to leave for a couple days, for a funeral. I don't often leave my dogs, but I had to. They got very mad at me and destroyed their bed. So, there was foam from one end of the house to the other. She cleaned every bit of it up. More than I could ask for and so very appreciated. Will definitely use her again and again.”

About: I have been a dog sitter/babysitter for over 8 years and love puppies and kids.. I dog-sit/babysit throughout my neighborhood an I am super reliable to neighbors. I have three family dogs and have been a reliable nurse for 2 years! Depends on my nursing schedule. I work 3 night shifts per week and it varies each week! I love helping with animals on my days off! I have two mini golden doodles and one 15 year old shi tzu Pomeranian. I trained both doodles myself and have years of experience walking friends and neigbors pets.
About: I've taken care of dogs all my life, from a large collie, down to my current 15 lb chorkie. He's 17 years old and still a happy critter. I've volunteered with Angels of Assisi and Red Dog Farms. I have also offered temporary care to cats. My schedule is wide open at this time, so I am very flexible. Let me know when you need me and we can make it work. I'm not currently offering dog care in my home, but I am happy to bring your critter to the nearest dog park for some sun and fun.
“We have had a great experience with our drop in visits from Mandy. She was able to be flexible with our schedule, and the dogs seemed so happy and well taken care of when we got back from our vacation. Thanks Mandy!”

“For our first time using Rover I’m so grateful and impressed by how easy Kennedy made everything! A true professional and confident especially given we had 5 dogs! I’d recommend Kennedy to anyone and will definitely be rebooking in the future! Thanks, Kennedy!”

About: I have been around animals since I was little. I have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, as well as cats and kittens! My family has always had large and small dogs, and I myself have two cats. Making sure that your pets are comfortable and safe are my main priority! I am a mental health therapist with many telehealth clients. My schedule is quite flexible, and I have quite a bit of free time each day! I think providing a calm environment for your furry friends is most important! I will follow any necessary instructions provided by owners :)
“Allie was wonderful with our cats. She stayed and spent time with them, which I appreciated. My Sophie loves attention. Allie looking after these two definitely gave us peace of mind, they were in great hands.”

“5 stars! Marshall is a total lifesaver. Beyond being a great communicator and very tidy, he was incredibly flexible when I missed my flight home. He jumped right back in unexpectedly to care for my dog Hayley without a hitch. He’s dependable, professional, and truly someone you can count on. I highly recommend!”

I can give the love and care you give to your pets while away. I am working part-time at a restaurant and part- time in a lab at UNCW. I take my pets for walks daily and can do the same for your pets. I will care for your pets as you do for them.

Sarah is the cat whisperer! While my cat loves me, she is typically a grade A menace to… everyone else. Sarah was efficient, took photos, communicated well, and very timely. I don’t think I’ve ever been so at ease about getting someone to check on my cat while I’m gone - will definitely rebook with her in the future!

Katie is absolutely amazing!! This was the first time I had to leave my two cats (my children) without a family member to watch them. I was away for only a week, but I was incredibly worried. Katie absolved all those worries! I was able to fully enjoy my vacation knowing she was going to be there for my girls every evening (^: I received videos and pictures everyday, plus a detailed review of how my girls were doing. She was very communicative throughout the whole week, even when I was unreachable for much of the day. I forgot to take the garbage out before I left, but she took it out for me which I was greatly appreciative of!!! She even took care of my precious plants! If you’re worried about leaving your fur babies when you go away, fear not! Katie is wonderful!!

Tristan was very sweet and communicative! My cats absolutely loved her and were very happy with her watching them while I was gone! She took lots of pictures of them for me and gave them lots of cuddles and playtime! I definitely recommend booking with her if you’re looking for someone to care for your furry friends!

Amazing! Great communication throughout the entire vacation, with great pictures and videos too. Our dogs are a little difficult when we’re not home and she handled them with care as if they were her own. Our cats also loved her, even our scaredy cat warmed up quickly. We would highly recommend her for all your pet care needs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
