“Jenny was the BEST!! So communicative and took such good care of our cat. He’s usually not great with new people but he loved her from the start. She sent so many pictures and left detailed reports putting our mind at ease while we were away. Will definitely be using Jenny again!”

“Taryn has been great with our kitties! We are so appreciative that she’s been available to help us on such short notice! We are moving out of town soon and will miss hiring Taryn for services! We highly recommend her for your pets! :)”

“We have had a great experience with our drop in visits from Mandy. She was able to be flexible with our schedule, and the dogs seemed so happy and well taken care of when we got back from our vacation. Thanks Mandy!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, lizards and birds since I was 10! Our family has three dogs, one that I’ve personally trained since she was a puppy. My roommate and I also consistently foster kittens until we can find them a forever home I work part time, but short shifts (usually only about 6 hours) and have classes for 2 hour increments every weekday morning. I have more than enough time to make sure every fur baby gets enough care while you’re away! I make sure that every animal gets enough play time and attention as I’m aware ample stimulation is critical for a dogs mental and physical health. I’m more than happy to provide daily walks, playtime and any other things a part of your pets schedule and needs.
“I can’t thank Baily enough for how great she was caring for my cat!! She was very kind, communicative and consistent. I highly recommend her to anyone that is in need of a sitter— she’s the best!!”

“Whitney was wonderful taking care of our two cats when we were away during a big snow storm! She sent us updates each day and not only made sure their needs were met, but spent time to play and socialize with them daily. It’s great to have someone trustworthy nearby for our cats in the future!”

“Stephanie went above and beyond when watching my cat over the holiday! She left detailed notes and lots of pictures. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a worry free vacation!”

“Absolutely amazing! My two fur babies were loved and cared for as if they were her own. Having someone I could trust completely gave us so much peace of mind while I was away. It is rare to find someone who genuinely loves and cares for your pets just as much as you do. I couldn't be happier with the care, attention, and affection Tiffney gave them. Highly recommend! ❤️🐾”

“Olivia was a fantastic sitter for my cat! She was very responsive and took lots of great photos of her and Leo playing together :) I will definitely rebook with Olivia in the future!”

About: Hi, I’m Sarah (I go by my middle name Mackenzie)! A lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve looked after everything from energetic puppies who need extra playtime to senior pets who require gentle care and patience. My experience includes: • Daily walks, exercise, and enrichment to keep pups happy and healthy • Feeding, administering medications, and following specific care routines • Lots of love, cuddles, and companionship to make pets feel at home • Experience with crate training, leash manners, and multi-pet households I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member. My priority is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for, just like they would with you. I’ll always send updates, pictures, and notes so you have peace of mind while you’re away. Whether it’s a long walk, a cozy cuddle session, or keeping up with a playful pup’s energy, I’m here to give your pets the care they deserve. 🐶🐱💛 I currently work full-time remote! I have 2 cats and 3 dogs of my own and love the flexibility and attention I can given them because of it. I have about a 1/2 acre of completely fenced in back yard which is perfect for my own pets and all pets that come to visit!
“Christy was amazing while she visited my cats. She took excellent care of them every time she came by and they absolutely loved her. She was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond when I thought my door was unlocked while I was away, coming back to make sure my pets and my home were secure. Would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for your pets like they would.”

“Ava did a wonderful job with our shy fur baby, Elvis. She made him feel comfortable enough to let her pet him. She was prompt for each of his feedings. Highly recommend Ava.”

“We've used Rover for many years, and Isabelle was hands down the best pet sitter we've ever had. She gave us notes after every visit which I really appreciated. She also provided plenty of pictures which my children loved. She showed up for each drop in on time and stayed more than the full amount of time. I felt like our pup was very well taken care of and we would definitely use her again!”

About: I’m an active, outdoorsy animal lover with years of firsthand experience caring for dogs, including six years with two large dogs of my own. I’ve also lived with and helped care for my parents’ dogs and, more recently, two large dogs in a previous household. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, including large and giant breeds, as well as puppies. I’m also insured and bonded. To me, pet care is about much more than feeding and walking. I want your pet to feel safe, loved, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. Having had dogs of my own, I understand how much trust it takes to leave an animal you love in someone else’s hands. I enjoy following each pet’s normal routine closely and giving them the attention, affection, exercise, and companionship they’re used to. I’ll care for your pet with the same thoughtfulness and love I would want for my own. I work full-time Monday through Friday, so weekday pet care fits around my work schedule. I usually need to be at work by 8:00 AM and am off by 5-5:15 PM. My ability to get away during lunch varies and is not guaranteed. My overnight shows as unavailable Tuesdays — however, Tuesday may be possible depending on my work schedule. Please message me if you’re interested and I’ll be happy to see if I can make it work. For drop-in visits and dog walks, my profile lists availability for up to two visits per day. On weekends, I can often accommodate more than two visits or walks per day. On weekdays, visits and walks are available after work, with evening appointments beginning by 6:00 PM. My schedule can vary, so if the timing you need doesn’t appear to match my listed availability, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to check my schedule and see what’s possible. My weekends are especially flexible, giving me more availability for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays without the weekday workday constraints. I’m also happy to consider last-minute bookings when my schedule allows. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine and your instructions closely so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I enjoy spending time with pets and making sure their needs are fully met, whether that means walks, meals, playtime, crate time, or letting your dog out in the yard as needed. I’ll spend time outside with them rather than simply opening the door and leaving them alone. If your pet is allowed on furniture or sleeps in a certain spot, I’m happy to follow the same household rules you use. My goal is to keep things familiar, safe, and low-stress while giving your pet plenty of attention and companionship. In addition to following your pet’s routine and safety instructions closely, I carry independent pet-care liability insurance and bonding for added peace of mind.
“Katie was great with my dog while we were out of town. She gave us a detailed update on our dog with the pictures and was very responsive via text message. I will definitely ask Katie to take care of my dog next time!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Myrtle Grove
Ava was wonderful and attentive to our animals. Our dog was sick and needed lots of medicine for the entire week and she made sure he got what he needed every day at the right time and was comfortable. She gave the kitty snuggles and made sure he stayed inside and was well cared for. She was a great communicator and answered all my questions and check-ins graciously. I'd highly recommend her to anyone.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
