About: I’ve loved animals my entire life. Growing up, our family always had dogs and cats, and as an adult, I’ve had the privilege of caring for two blind rescue dogs, as well as my current lovable 16-pound Aussiedoodle, Zoey. Zoey lives with me and gets along well with other dogs. For the past 2½ years, I’ve owned and operated a dog-walking and cat-care business, caring for a variety of neighborhood pets. My experience includes three 19-year-old cats, two medium and large Doodles, a Dachshund I’ve cared for since he was just 10 weeks old, and dogs of many different mixed breeds, ages, and personalities. My approach is to always let the animal lead. Both of my rescue dogs came from very difficult circumstances, and I learned how important patience, trust, and a sense of safety are. Rather than expecting an animal to immediately feel comfortable with me, I give them the time and space they need to open up on their own. With a calm, loving, and safe environment, that trust usually begins to develop naturally. I’m especially comfortable with animals who may be shy, fearful, cautious, or unsure of strangers. I take a very gentle approach, allowing them to get to know me at their own pace. Once they feel safe and comfortable, that’s when the magic unfolds! I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine, whether that means sleeping in a crate at night or curling up on the bed. I live in a first-floor apartment facing a nice open green space, which makes it easy to provide frequent potty breaks and neighborhood walks. With pet-parent permission, it’s my norm to send daily updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away. I’m also comfortable administering medications and handling foods that require refrigeration or freezing. My schedule is fairly flexible, and I do my best to accommodate each pet’s individual routine and needs. Just let me know what works best for you and your pet! I am currently retired so I am home most of the day/night. I live with my 16 lb non-shedding Aussie doogle dog, Zoey. I may step out to run errands, go to an appointment, other, but am otherwise at home. I allow dogs to sleep on my bed or stay in a crate at night, per pet parents wishes. If you are traveling and require a pick up after 6 pm just let me know so we can work something out. I live in an apartment on the first floor, so I have easy access to let dogs out for potty breaks as I face an open green space. I live in a safe community with plenty of sidewalks and street lighting. I often walk my dog clients in the morning when it is cool outside, so they can get adequate exercise. On rainy days, I like to occupy your pet with tug-o-war, or a treat-kong, or playing with other toys. Please feel free to bring your dog's favorite toys.
“Helena and her family were so good with our dog, Mugsy. She took the time to listen to and understand any special instructions, and sent us regular photos and updates. She reached out quickly when there was any questions or concerns. I can tell Helena truly loves dogs and treats them like family. Thank you for taking such good care of our pup!”
“Adam was great! My two pups loved staying with Adam and his pup, and came home happier than ever! He was very accommodating to a few changes along the way and available fairly last minute for a long duration. Will definitely book again when needed.”

“Hilary took such great care of our girl! Sadie has a lot of quirks and takes time to warm up and Hilary was patient and understanding. I had a lot of peace of mind while we were away on our trip knowing she was well taken care of!”

About: Growing up we had both dogs and cats in the house. As soon as I had an apartment that allowed dogs, I adopted my sweet and sassy pup snoopy. Over the years his mobility declined and I gained insight in how to care for an elderly pup including administering shots, and oral medication. Last year my fiancé and I adopted our sweet girl Betty. She tested us as a puppy, and provided an opportunity to learn about training a dog with a different personality from my first pup. I work as an RN Monday- Thursday and my fiancé works from home Monday- Friday. We live in a first floor apartment with a walk out patio. Our complex also has a dog park and plenty of space for long walks. We are a nonsmoking home with no children; just Betty and she is very friendly with other dogs. I recently relocated to the Cary area for work, but my new job does not start until mid October! Prior to the move, I was a full time student and working on Rover. My schedule is pretty open to care for your pets! I am familiar with different harnesses and the importance of leashing dogs when out and about. My apartment has several fenced dog areas and lots of outdoor walking space!
“My dog stayed with Sue-Ling, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She took such wonderful care of my dog. Kind, patient, and really attentive to her needs. It was clear from the start that Sue-Ling truly loves animals and treats them like her own. There was a small health issue while I was away, but Sue-Ling handled everything calmly and responsibly. She kept me updated right away and made sure my dog was comfortable and safe. I felt completely reassured knowing she was in such good hands. I’m really grateful for the care and attention Sue-Ling gave to my dog, and I would absolutely trust her to look after her again anytime. She’s amazing!”

She sent photos and a video of my dog and I felt very comfortable leaving Laci in her care. I would definitely recommend her and would use her again in the future. Laci had a great time!”

About: I’ve been caring for cats for years, fostering and rescuing for years. Along with her, I have another little lady named Junebug who is an orange tabby and has all the orange cat personality traits, she’s wild and energetic, never boring and always ready to zoom! These two fur babies have taught me so much about cats, their feelings, and emotions, I’ve learned to respect and adore cats in a new light.

About: I’ve had cats for a very long time and I currently have five of them. I would love to take care of your’s. I have taken care of many types of cats, with a notable difference in energy levels and maintenance. I’ve also taken care of a litter of kitten and geriatric cats.
About: I grew up with both dogs and cats and have cared for pets throughout my life. I currently share my home with three dogs: Harley, a 70-pound SuperMutt, and Biggie and Smalls, two Dachshund siblings. Living with dogs of very different sizes and personalities has taught me how important it is to adapt to each pet’s individual needs. I am comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, companionship, and multi-dog households. I am patient, dependable, attentive, and will care for your pets with the same respect and affection I give my own. Pet care is already a central part of my daily routine because I share my home with three dogs of different sizes and personalities. My days include regular meals, bathroom breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I can plan carefully around confirmed bookings so each pet receives dependable, unrushed care while staying as close as possible to their normal routine. I treat every pet’s safety, comfort, and routine as the top priorities. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, keep doors and gates secure, use leashes appropriately, supervise interactions, and separate pets during meals when needed. In my home, I would only accept pets that are a good fit with my three resident dogs and would introduce them gradually. In a client’s home, I am respectful of the space and provide regular updates so pet parents know their animals are safe and comfortable.

About: I have three dogs — a senior, a teenager, and a pup — so I understand energy levels at every stage of a dog’s life. I’ve trained all of them myself and know that different breeds need different things, especially mental stimulation. I make sure my dogs get that stimulation daily so they feel like they have a job, which has really helped with anxiety. I’ve also had a cat and volunteered at animal shelters, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities and needs. Your pet will be treated just like one of my own. I’m also a college student, so when I’m not in class I’m happy to come take care of your pets. I know your schedule matters, so I stay flexible and work around whatever timing suits you best. Your pet’s safety always comes first. In your home, I follow your routines, keep an eye out for anything unfamiliar, and make sure doors and gates stay secure. With my own three dogs, I’m used to managing different temperaments and energy levels safely together, and my time volunteering at animal shelters taught me how to stay calm and attentive with pets I’m just getting to know. I treat every home and every pet with the same care and respect I’d want for my own.

She gave him a bath (he was all dirty from the beach) and a cute little goodie bag when we left! So helpful to have him clean on our drive home! We are from out of town but definitely will be contacting her again when we need a sitter in Wilmington and will refer my friends to her! Worth every penny! Thank you!!”

I can’t thank Kim enough for giving us peace of mind knowing our dog was loved and taken care of!! Thank you again! I wish we lived in her area so we could use her more often!!! 10/10!”

“Archie always loves his time with Valerie! She always thoughtful updates/photos and has been very accommodating when we have had to change our pickup times due to travel issues. She is our preferred Wilmington sitter!”

“Allie took amazing care of my beloved cat while I was moving - it was a huge relief knowing she was in good hands. She sent routine updates and went out of her way to make sure Paprika was comfortable and well-loved!”

“Andrew is an excellent dog sitter, highly recommended. He took great care to keep us informed with updates and photos of our dog. He was understanding of flight delays and plans changing to make for a stress free vacation. Thank you!”

“Outstanding service! Carey updated us everyday with photos of our boy and asked many questions on our pups character/needs. We will definitely be returning to her. If you need someone to care for your pup, look no further!”

“Erin was a great sitter! She provided lots of updates and my cattle dog had lots of fun running around with her golden retriever in their huge fenced yard. Would definitely use Erin again in the future!”

“Olivia was wonderful and took such great care of Laci. She accepted the booking request pretty last minute and was very accommodating. She sent photos and a video of my dog and I felt very comfortable leaving Laci in her care. I would definitely recommend her and would use her again in the future. Laci had a great time!”

About: I have a passion so deep for all animals and I have been riding horses ever since I was young so my experience is a little more advanced since I have been around many different animals. I work at a restaurant a couple days a week but short shifts so I have time on my hands. I also exercise and walk a lot so walking dogs would fit perfectly. I care for animals with patience and kinds. I don’t believe any animal deserves a tough life and bad care and I want to love on every single one.
“Stephanie did a great job with Tyson! It was so much less stressful than using a kennel! We could tell Tyson felt right at home, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with Stephanie again! Thank you so much!”

“Mandy was great while watching my pups. She was responsive and accommodating when flight got delayed and I needed to extend a day. Both dogs came home happy and tired from a weekend of fun.”

“Mia was amazing with my anxious dog Reya! She was very communicative, took great care of her, and sent me lots of pictures and videos throughout her stay. Would recommend Mia to anyone!”

“Megan was so great with Bagel! Bagel is definitely a ball of anxiety sometimes and she was so chill with Megan. She sent lots of photos and bagel seemed so happy she even ran back around to say bye to Megan when we picked her up. Will definitely be reaching out again”
