“Keira took excellent care of our three kitties while we were away. She has a lovely energy that animals will be naturally drawn to. Two of our cats are very timid and hide from everyone, but they came right out to meet Keira on their first meeting. We were shocked! In addition to our cats loving her, she did a great job keeping us updated while we were out of town. All of her visits were timely and thorough, including pictures and text updates. The cats were all well and happy, and everything was clean and tidy when we returned. I highly recommend Keira to care for your precious little ones!”

“Ava is absolutely amazing! I had flight changes and a small home renovation going on during her stay and she was nothing but understanding, accommodating and reassuring! I will 100% rebook with Ava! Thank you so much for everything!”

“Carol took great care of my elderly special needs dog while I was at work. She promptly sent me updates and a picture during her drop- in's with Stella. It was nice to come home to a happy dog :) ”

About: Hi! I'm a college student with a lifelong love for animals. I have a sweet cat named Penny. She’s truly the light of my life and I treat every pet I care for with the same love and attention I give her. I'm currently a student at UNCW, finishing my degree after transferring in. Even with a busy academic life, I’m committed to continuing what I love most: caring for pets! I offer dog walking, feeding, and pet sitting services—and the same care extends to cats too! I have several years of experience from working summers with a dog-walking business back in California during high school and early college. It was one of the most rewarding jobs I’ve ever had, and it taught me how to read animal behavior, stay reliable, and make every visit fun and safe. You can count on me to care for your furry family members like they’re my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s hands and I’ll make sure they’re loved, safe, and happy every step of the way. Other then being a college student I also have 2 jobs working in a mental health hospital with adolescents and retail. My usual schedule is 3pm-11pm Fri-Mon at the hospital and work retail Tues and Wed in the afternoons off at 8:30pm I usually care for the pets at the clients home given my living situation as my cat doesn't take other animal visitors too well as well as having a roommate
About: I volunteer at the Colonial Capital Humane Society, where my mom works, primarily in the cattery caring for cats with special needs, young kittens, and seniors. This experience has given me a strong understanding of animal behavior and taught me patience and compassion for animals of all ages and personalities. I also cared for a friend's cat for three months while she traveled internationally, maintaining a consistent routine and providing attentive daily care. While cats hold a special place in my heart, I grew up with dogs, helping raise three yellow labs and pet-sitting for family and friends, so I'm comfortable and confident with animals of any kind. As a full-time student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to offer plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship. Whether it's an energetic puppy, a senior pet, or an animal needing extra care, I'm committed to providing safe, dependable, and personalized attention. As a full-time interior design student at Cape Fear Community College I have a flexible schedule with availability on mornings, evenings, and weekends. This allows me to easily provide daytime care, overnight stays, and house sitting while still maintaining my school responsibilities. I’m able to give pets the attention, companionship, and consistent care they need throughout the day. I care for pets in my client’s home by keeping their routines consistent and comfortable. Punctuality and dependability are very important to me, and I understand the trust that comes with caring for someone’s pet. I follow all owner instructions, including feeding, walks, medications, and playtime, while providing a safe and loving environment. I am also available for overnight and extended care, ensuring pets receive attention, companionship, and reliable care while their owners are away.
“Amanda took amazing care of my senior cat, making sure her medication was given on time and handled with care. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was not only attentive to her needs but also spent quality time with her, giving her plenty of cuddles and comfort. She also kept me updated with lots of pictures, which I really appreciated—it made being away so much easier.”
About: Great family environment with a fenced backyard to run and play. We support families with pets in and around Wilmington, NC. We have great kids that will show your animal plenty of attention. We are very flexible on scheduling and cancellations. Your animal would not be kept outside but will be outside often on walks around the neighborhood or in the woods in the backyard. It would become apart of the family while it stays with us. We have a very disciplined schedule that caring for animals works well for. We will send pictures and daily updates as we care for your pet. Look forward to meeting you and your pet. Pet Walking, Doggy Daycare, and Drop in visits are completed by our 15 year old daughter Isabella (Izzy) who is saving for her first car. She serves the Ogden, Porters Neck, and surrounding area on Saturdays and Sundays. Brittany and I are both educators and work 7:30-3:30, Monday through Friday, from August through May. During those hours, your pet will be home alone, but they will receive plenty of love, care, and attention and will be treated as part of our family throughout their stay. Monday-Friday we do drop-off/pick-up times after 4pm and on Saturday and Sunday drop-off/pick-up can be anytime after 10:30am. If you need an early drop-off please bring your pet the night before. We give your pet the keys to the house while they are here. They will already be stressed because their owner is gone and they are in a new place. They can go out in the fenced backyard or just relax in the house. We do a walk in the evening and if you are booked on the weekend they will get to go out hiking. Some pets just like hanging out on the couch and thats ok too.

About: I have experience with training puppies, and I’ve watched dogs from Dachshunds to Great Danes! I am a huge dog lover, and I’d love to spend time with yours while I miss mine back home! I am a student, so I will be gone for hours long periods throughout the day. However, this has not been an issue in the past! I follow every direction from the client, as they know their dog’s routine best. I love to spend personal time with the pets too, whether lounging on the couch or going for a walk!

“Kimberly went above and beyond our expectations as our cat's caretaker while we were on vacation. Not only did she follow our instructions in caring for our guy, but she also brought our patio stuff indoors when a storm hit our apartment. If she's available in the future, she'll be our first choice for sure! Thank you so much, Kimberly, for everything. You were amazing and Bagheera will miss you until next time. ?”

Steph is an amazing carer for your pet. I was gone from my kitty 2 weeks, which he got very anxious about and he had a series of digestive misadventures. Steph was so kind in handling and cleaning up, leaving thorough notes about the matter, pictures, etc. I recommend her without hesitation to anyone.

I was super anxious about leaving my two kitties for the first time, but Keira was absolutely wonderful! She was attentive, communicative, and took such great care of my babies while I was away. She gave me so much peace of mind, and I’m incredibly grateful. I highly recommend her!

Brittnay took really good care of my cats. I booked her for four months while I was in the hospital and she was communicative and sent me pictures and even let me talk to my cats on FaceTime. She was courteous and tidy. She went above and beyond. I knew my babies were well taken care of. I would highly recommend her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
