“Christa took great care of my cat while I was gone! She was very attentive, followed instructions, and made sure my cat was happy and comfortable while I was gone. I got very detailed updates and lots of pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away!”

“Amanda took amazing care of my senior cat, making sure her medication was given on time and handled with care. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was not only attentive to her needs but also spent quality time with her, giving her plenty of cuddles and comfort. She also kept me updated with lots of pictures, which I really appreciated—it made being away so much easier.”

“Lauren was amazing! We've lucked out and have been able to have family or friends come over to let our pups out when we have to be away for long periods of time, until now. We reached out to Lauren via Rover to come over and check on our pups. One was extremely worried about her presence and the other warmed up after a while. She is communicative and pleasent to talk with via the app. Her Rover Report Cards were detailed (with adorable pics) and helped put our minds at ease with a stranger caring for our pups. Thanks Lauren ?”

“Lindsay took great care of our girls while we went out of town for the weekend. She provided great care to them and we were very happy with her services. Will definitely use her services again”
“Carol took great care of my elderly special needs dog while I was at work. She promptly sent me updates and a picture during her drop- in's with Stella. It was nice to come home to a happy dog :) ”

“Baily was great! She was able to accommodate a last minute request and even took time to meet up with me beforehand. Great with my 1 yr old dog! Timely and sent lots of pictures! Will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: Hey, y'all! I had 3 dogs for about 8 years, walked and fed them daily, I have experience with almost all dog breeds from great danes to chihuahuas! I've also had bunnies, guinea pigs, flying squirrels, hamsters, and mice! I absolutely adore cats and have experience with animals of all ages ☺️ Sitting or playing with my cats has become part of my daily routine. About: I have experience with Elderly dogs as well as puppies. I have some experience with training and am able to assist with simple commands like sit, stay, and heel. I have experience with reactive dogs as I used to have one of my own, and am very good at soothing stressed animals and keeping them under control. All types of pets are welcome. I live in a more rural area of Wilmington and have a large fence surrounding my house. Most days, my schedule is very flexible and open, and I am able to give my full attention to the pets staying with me. I am a very diligent caretaker, always keeping an eye on the pet and taking time to determine what they need when they express distress. I am very active and love being in nature, so I am happy to take as many walks as might be necessary, go to the park, or even go swimming!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Wrightsboro
Brittnay took really good care of my cats. I booked her for four months while I was in the hospital and she was communicative and sent me pictures and even let me talk to my cats on FaceTime. She was courteous and tidy. She went above and beyond. I knew my babies were well taken care of. I would highly recommend her.

This was our 2nd time hiring Amanda to watch our 2 cats and she will continue to be our #1 choice. This was the first time we've ever left the cats for two full weeks and it was so reassuring to know she was looking in on them. Great communication, super reliable, and overall highly recommended.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
