Lifelong Animal Lover!
Hi, I’m Christa! I’m 34 years old and have hands on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, from dogs and cats to rabbits, ducks, chickens, goats, and horses. I grew up surrounded by pets and have always felt at home with all types of animals. I pet-sat on Rover a few times in 2015, but got busy with work and school and unfortunately had to give it up. I now work from home on my own schedule, and recently purchased my own home with a large fenced in yard, so I'm giving it another shot! I have two lab mixes: Bear (14 years) and Goose (1 year). My dogs are well-socialized and typically get along great with other pups! I also have two house cats, Meera and Jojen, and have about 9 stray cats that I care for and am currently working on getting spayed/neutered. I also have a degree in biology, where I took several animal focused courses that deepened my understanding of animal behavior, health, and care. Christa took great care of our german shepherd - also got great photos of him for us to see while visit family!
Christa has been amazing and so accommodating to our crazy, changing schedule. She has been so amazing with our boy Mango, and he has loved her so much! We will 100% continue using her in the future!
Christa was able to help us when we needed it! She made sure Chief had a great playtime and potty break during the day. He was his normal playful self when we got home!

Christa cared Kimber for about 4 months when we were in Wilmington at the beginning of 2026. We did not hesitate to contact Christa when we came back. She is extremely accommodating with our bizarre hectic schedule and extremely fair with her rates. I would highly recommend her. This was Kimber’s overnight weekend stay and Christa made her feel right at home.

In my home, I provide a safe, loving, and structured environment where pets can relax and feel at home. I stick to their usual routines for feeding, play, and rest, and offer plenty of attention, supervision, and affection. I do slow introductions with my own pets to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions to keep things as familiar and stress-free as possible.

I love keeping pets happy and engaged! Depending on their energy level and preferences, we might go for walks, play fetch, or run around in the yard. For pups who love water, I also have a splash pad and a pool for supervised swim time. For calmer pets, I’m always up for cuddle time, enrichment games, or just hanging out together. I tailor activities to each pet’s personality and needs to make sure they’re having fun and feeling loved.
