About: I have been around dogs since I was born. My parents have always had at least one dog running around the house, and I now have one myself that lives with me! Layla has gotten ne through some tough times and with that being said I know how important dogs (and cats) are in our lives. I would love to be a sitter, walker, and caregiver to anyone's furry necessity! I am a full time student! Which means that I usually have school all week! I am free after 5pm every day of the week and on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays all day! I have my 3 year old dog named Layla that is very friendly to all dogs! She is playful and loves to meet new friends! I walk her 3-4 times daily because I don't have a fenced yard. This will also be the case if I am boarding a dog! If your dog is crate trained I have a medium sized crate that they can sleep in overnight! I am open to walking as often as needed and will follow routines to a tee!
About: I have taken care of many breeds of dogs to include small and large breeds. I’m available for housesitting as well as drop in visits and walks on short notice.I’m excited to get your baby out and get them some exercise. I am currently laid off and have open availability. I would love the opportunity to help with your babies needs while you’re on vacation or just for a walk. I care for my two pets in my home every day. I am a trustworthy individual who loves animals. I am able to host some animals in my home. I am also able to go into homes and walk animals or pet sit.
“You can really tell that Stephanie is a pro! She was very mindful of my super anxious kitty and took such great care of her while I was out of the country. She has such a calming presence, followed all instructions, communicated thoroughly, and was very respectful of my home. Would absolutely book again!”

“Stephanie is amazing. She is kind, gentle and understanding. She treated squishy and my home as her own. She reported the details I needed to feel comfortable in being away. Lots of pictures. Lots of love for my sweet girl. Thanks Stephanie.”

About: Great family environment with a fenced backyard to run and play. We support families with pets in and around Wilmington, NC. We have great kids that will show your animal plenty of attention. We are very flexible on scheduling and cancellations. Your animal would not be kept outside but will be outside often on walks around the neighborhood or in the woods in the backyard. It would become apart of the family while it stays with us. We have a very disciplined schedule that caring for animals works well for. We will send pictures and daily updates as we care for your pet. Look forward to meeting you and your pet. Pet Walking, Doggy Daycare, and Drop in visits are completed by our 15 year old daughter Isabella (Izzy) who is saving for her first car. She serves the Ogden, Porters Neck, and surrounding area on Saturdays and Sundays. Brittany and I are both educators and work 7:30-3:30, Monday through Friday, from August through May. During those hours, your pet will be home alone, but they will receive plenty of love, care, and attention and will be treated as part of our family throughout their stay. Monday-Friday we do drop-off/pick-up times after 4pm and on Saturday and Sunday drop-off/pick-up can be anytime after 10:30am. If you need an early drop-off please bring your pet the night before. We give your pet the keys to the house while they are here. They will already be stressed because their owner is gone and they are in a new place. They can go out in the fenced backyard or just relax in the house. We do a walk in the evening and if you are booked on the weekend they will get to go out hiking. Some pets just like hanging out on the couch and thats ok too.
“From booking to completing the visits, our experience with Kim has been excellent- she is easy to communicate with and is very responsive. She took great care of our kitties and we have already booked her for future visits. Highly recommend!”
“Carol dis an amazing job taking care of our two dogs while we were out of town for a couple days. It rained the whole time but she made sure they still went on long walks and were cozy afterwards. I would highly recommend!”

“Olivia was a fantastic sitter for my cat! She was very responsive and took lots of great photos of her and Leo playing together :) I will definitely rebook with Olivia in the future!”

“Laine was fabulous and will absolutely use her again! She checked on my pup every day for a week and . gave him lots of attention and love. She even messaged me the one day asking about his lunch when I forgot to leave it out making sure he got fed!”

About: I’ve always connected well with animals, especially dogs. I’ve dog walked and watched others’ animals from a very young age. I was 22 when I decided to become a dog trainer. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the best programs in the country at Animal Behavior College, with a certificate in canine behavior therapy & a concentration in rehabilitating shelter dogs. I’m also qualified to train emotional support animals, which has been so rewarding. I chose this as a career path because of how much I genuinely love all living things. I can’t wait to meet your furry friends and give them the best care they could ask for! I own my own business, so I make my own schedule. I can tend to whatever schedule best suits the animals. I don’t have pets of my own, so that gives me even more flexibility. I always make sure I’m doing my best to care for animals, in any aspect of my life or career. I’m diligent in making sure their feeding, walking and play schedules are upheld promptly, and that their routines stay relatively in tact. This is one of the best things you can do to ease a pet’s anxiety about their owners being away. I work as a trainer, which means I’m happy to add on training sessions with your pet while they’re in my care, through my business if that’s something of interest. I’m very amenable to the specifications for each individual animal. Some dogs like to be given affection on the couch for a few minutes each day. Others might enjoy watching the birds in their yard for a while. I’m always happy to attune my care for each dog. When walking a dog, the quality of the walks are just as important as their frequency. Dogs require a certain level of mental stimulation each day, and ten minutes of sniffing is enough to satisfy most dog’s needs. They need the sniffing as much as the exercise. Your dog will be given ample time to sniff and “read the doggy newspaper”, as well as get some great exercise. I always make sure the animal has gotten everything that they need from the experience.
About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs from young to old, small to big, and healthy to sick/disabled. I’ve been looking after neighbor’s and family friend’s dogs for the past 6 years. I’ve done drop ins, hung out at the house for 24/7 attention, and stayed the night at the home. I am now available every day of the week all day, unless specified otherwise in my calendar. I will be starting a summer internship on June 23rd and I will be there on Tuesdays and Thursday from 1-5pm. I will also be out of town from July 12th through August 2nd. I treat all pets I come by with love and respect and do my best to accommodate their needs. Some clients require special instructions or have a specific way of doing things that i’m glad to follow. I want to make sure your pet is comfortable and well taken care of.
About: I provide reliable drop-in visits and energy-burning dog walks for pet owners who want peace of mind while they're away. Whether your dog needs a quick potty break, fresh water, feeding, playtime, companionship, or a long walk to work off extra energy, I'm committed to making sure they feel safe, cared for, and happy. I have personally owned and cared for dogs for more than 22 years and understand that every pet has unique needs, personalities, and routines. Through years of hands-on experience, I've learned how important consistency, patience, exercise, and positive interactions are to a dog's overall well-being. I genuinely love dogs and treat every pet in my care with the same attention and affection I give my own. I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet's specific routine and care instructions. During visits, I can provide exercise, playtime, feeding, fresh water, medication administration (if needed and instructions are provided), and plenty of love and attention. For walks, I enjoy giving dogs the physical activity and mental stimulation they need to stay healthy and content. I work full-time but have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide drop-in visits and walks during available hours. I believe pets deserve quality one-on-one attention, and I make every effort to ensure they receive the time, care, and exercise they need. My goal is to help you feel confident knowing your pet is in caring and capable hands while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I currently work from home so if your needs are during the week I can do 2 drop in’s or walk during the week. I can do anytime on the weekends. I currently have a dog that doesn’t always do well with other dogs. He has never bitten anyone but I’m not sure how he would react with another dog in the house.
“Thank you so much for everything! I’m so sorry for the delayed tip/message 😭 things were so busy once we got back from our trip :( but we appreciate you so much!! We’ll be in touch soon if you’re available! haha”

About: I have had pets as far back as I can remember. They are family to me. I dog-sit and cat-sit for my daughter regularly. I've rescued many cats and a few dogs here and there. I'll move a turtle from the road. I let bugs out of the house. You get the idea. I work full time during the day, but I would love to help with pet care during evenings and weekends. I'm highly active, love walking dogs, and can easily build pet care into my routine outside of standard business hours. I prefer to come to your house for pet sitting and walking but am willing to pet sit at my place if necessary. Food and water of course but I will also talk, walk, and play with them as needed.
“Kristin did a such a great job with our cats! She made us feel so much better about having to leave them for a trip. She’s very communicative and reliable, I highly recommend her.”

“Stephanie was great with Buster!! Always on time and attentive to keep his normal schedule while we were out of town! She even made Buster little pup treats! Highly recommend!”

Bonnie was wonderful! She helped us out on short notice and over the holiday weekend. We were so thankful and pleased with her response time, availability, follow-up, daily checking with pictures and overall professionalism. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and our babies were well taken care of!!

Amazing! Very communicative, sent lots of photos and updates, and spent quality time with my cats. I felt really reassured while I was away knowing they were in good hands. Both of my cats were comfortable and well taken care of. I would definitely book again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
