“So good. My dog sometimes comes home pretty stressed, no fault of other boarders. But with Allie he was part of a great group of peaceful dogs and came home very relaxed. Great communication throughout his stay. Very good experience.”

“Wonderful. Didn’t worry about my dog, not for a second. Got pictures/updates at least 1x/day. With Donna & Calvin, I know my dog will be loved, exercised, as well as well rested. Thank you both!”

“My first experience on rover and Sarah and her family knocked it out of the park. Instantly felt comfortable and knew that my puppers was going to be in good hands. Very responsive and updated me throughout her stay daily. Very attentive and genuinely cared for my sweet girl. Highly recommend.”

“Jenn and her son were lovely hosts to my mini golden doodle. Jenn was very kind and friendly. Jenn very clearly cares a lot for animals! She gave my pup lots of attention and sent frequent photos and videos. 10/10. I will definitely book with her again!”

“This was our second stay with Jordan, and I realized I never left a review after the first one. However, I definitely should have! As a first time Rover user, in fact the first time ever leaving my 9-year old pup with a stranger, I was incredibly nervous about leaving my dog with someone new. Jordan completely exceeded my expectations. He sent thoughtful updates throughout the stay with a plethora of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind, and it was obvious that my dog was being loved and well cared for. Not only is Jordan amazing, but his family is so kind and welcoming. You can truly tell they care about the dogs they watch and treat them like part of the family. Knowing my pup was safe, happy, and surrounded by so much love made all the difference. I can't thank Jordan enough for taking such great care of my dog, Lily. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and communicative, I highly recommend booking with him. We'll definitely be back!”

“Luna had a great time staying with them for a couple days. They took great care of her and made drop off and pickup very convenient and easy for us and for Luna. Manny thanks, and highly recommended!”

“My dog stayed with Sue-Ling, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She took such wonderful care of my dog. Kind, patient, and really attentive to her needs. It was clear from the start that Sue-Ling truly loves animals and treats them like her own. There was a small health issue while I was away, but Sue-Ling handled everything calmly and responsibly. She kept me updated right away and made sure my dog was comfortable and safe. I felt completely reassured knowing she was in such good hands. I’m really grateful for the care and attention Sue-Ling gave to my dog, and I would absolutely trust her to look after her again anytime. She’s amazing!”

“We love having Rupert stay with Andrew and his family! Andrew is fantastic with communication, takes Rupert on plenty of walks, socializes him with his adorable cat Poe, and gave him his daily medications! About: I’ve always connected well with animals, especially dogs. I’ve dog walked and watched others’ animals from a very young age. I was 22 when I decided to become a dog trainer. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the best programs in the country at Animal Behavior College, with a certificate in canine behavior therapy & a concentration in rehabilitating shelter dogs. I’m also qualified to train emotional support animals, which has been so rewarding. I chose this as a career path because of how much I genuinely love all living things. I can’t wait to meet your furry friends and give them the best care they could ask for! I own my own business, so I make my own schedule. I can tend to whatever schedule best suits the animals. I don’t have pets of my own, so that gives me even more flexibility. I always make sure I’m doing my best to care for animals, in any aspect of my life or career. I’m diligent in making sure their feeding, walking and play schedules are upheld promptly, and that their routines stay relatively in tact. This is one of the best things you can do to ease a pet’s anxiety about their owners being away. I work as a trainer, which means I’m happy to add on training sessions with your pet while they’re in my care, through my business if that’s something of interest. I’m very amenable to the specifications for each individual animal. Some dogs like to be given affection on the couch for a few minutes each day. Others might enjoy watching the birds in their yard for a while. I’m always happy to attune my care for each dog. When walking a dog, the quality of the walks are just as important as their frequency. Dogs require a certain level of mental stimulation each day, and ten minutes of sniffing is enough to satisfy most dog’s needs. They need the sniffing as much as the exercise. Your dog will be given ample time to sniff and “read the doggy newspaper”, as well as get some great exercise. I always make sure the animal has gotten everything that they need from the experience.
“Highly recommend as Katherine is trustworthy, was always on time for the walks and provided images and status updates. Our dog is not an easy dog (lots of anxiety with new people) and Katherine did an amazing job and was clearly patient. She gave us very clear communication throughout the entire process and we were extremely happy with the services provided.”

About: I have cared for cats in a barn setting for many years. Multiple cats inside a home unfortunately is something my allergies will not allow. Feeding and checking on a cat is something I comfortable with, I just cannot have them in my lap.

“Maddie is great! She did drop-in visits with our 12yo pup and made sure to send photos each day. We appreciated her flexibility to do a meet and greet prior to the booking as well. 5 stars!”

About: I love animals and have experience with cats from my time working at a vet clinic receptionist to watching cats for friends and family! Experience with senior animals and giving medications. I believe in understanding a pet's needs and responding with compassion.
About: I provide reliable drop-in visits and energy-burning dog walks for pet owners who want peace of mind while they're away. Whether your dog needs a quick potty break, fresh water, feeding, playtime, companionship, or a long walk to work off extra energy, I'm committed to making sure they feel safe, cared for, and happy. I have personally owned and cared for dogs for more than 22 years and understand that every pet has unique needs, personalities, and routines. Through years of hands-on experience, I've learned how important consistency, patience, exercise, and positive interactions are to a dog's overall well-being. I genuinely love dogs and treat every pet in my care with the same attention and affection I give my own. I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow your pet's specific routine and care instructions. During visits, I can provide exercise, playtime, feeding, fresh water, medication administration (if needed and instructions are provided), and plenty of love and attention. For walks, I enjoy giving dogs the physical activity and mental stimulation they need to stay healthy and content. I work full-time but have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide drop-in visits and walks during available hours. I believe pets deserve quality one-on-one attention, and I make every effort to ensure they receive the time, care, and exercise they need. My goal is to help you feel confident knowing your pet is in caring and capable hands while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! I currently work from home so if your needs are during the week I can do 2 drop in’s or walk during the week. I can do anytime on the weekends. I currently have a dog that doesn’t always do well with other dogs. He has never bitten anyone but I’m not sure how he would react with another dog in the house.
About: I have years of experience in pet/house sitting. I've had dogs all my life and can make sure they are taken care of as if they were my own. All I ask is for you to let me know of any specifications regarding your pets! I am a new VT graduate with a degree in Public Health. I am also a full-time server looking for an extra side hustle. My schedule varies with my job so my availability will change weekly, but I can be flexible with my hours! I unfortunately cannot have pets in my complex, but I am perfectly comfortable watching at the client's home. Overnight stays will depend, just send me a message!

About: My parents had two cats from before I was born. They lived till I was about 14 and allowed me to become very familiar with having a cat as a pet. One was also particularly feisty so I also know how to deal with cats that are a little more on the scratchy side. Overall, I'm a big cat person and would love to watch over any paws thrown my way!

About: We have been taking care of dogs since 2018! We are so enjoying it!! Hubby walks the dogs and I cuddle and play! It's a win win for your fur baby! For doggie day care we are available between 8 am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Would love long term . We do have one small dog. For boarding we are available both weekdays and weekends. We have a nice fenced-in backyard and my husband takes the dogs out for walks when possible! When that option isn't available, they have dedicated playtime in the yard.We have one dog that is not initially playful but takes a while to warm up but he does typically! I do require a meet and greet before committing and for pets to show proof of rabies shots, heartworm and flea and tic treatments. I work part time outside the home but my hubby works part time in the home so rarely are we both gone at the same time. I have a fenced in yard and my husband tries to walk our dog daily.Typically will hit the area walking trails. If necessary, he is willing to walk animals separately(older dog who can not walk as long or dogs who have health challenges)Our dog is aloof and takes a bit of time to adjust but usually does. We are attentive to this and supervise very closely until we see how things are going to be. We own both a large and small dog crate and can separate them if needed
About: I am a dog lover. I have watched my family and friends pets for many years. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I work from home Monday-Friday. My schedule is flexible to what might be needed whether drop ins, walks, etc. I am available on the weekends as well. I will do what’s needed based on the animals needs: playing with the animals, feeding and watering, checking food/water sources, going on walks, and more.
“Our pup had a great day with Julia! We loved all of the pictures and updates and felt that he was safe and happy in her care. We will definitely bring him back here!”

About: Hi! I’m Emma — dog mom of 3, lifelong dog lover, and small-dog boarding specialist in Wilmington, NC. I have three friendly small dogs of my own (Cavaliers + a Cocker Spaniel), so your pup will always have built-in friends, supervised playtime, and a home-based environment instead of an overcrowded kennel. Taking care of dogs is just part of my everyday life! I work from home, so I’m with my dogs pretty much all day. We keep a regular routine of potty breaks, playtime, and light training throughout the day. On weekends, we love to switch things up with a hike, a beach stroll, or grabbing a pup cup at our favorite coffee spot. Whether it’s a chill day at home or an adventure, I’m always focused on making sure the dogs in my care are happy, safe, and well-loved. Located in a safe, quiet Scotts Hill neighborhood with a fully fenced backyard for playtime. I only board 1-2 dogs at a time, so your pup will always get personal attention and care. They have the option to have their own cozy suite or stay in the same room as our resident pups, both with comfy bedding, toys, and all the essentials. Please note all pets are crated when unsupervised and overnight. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your dog feels right at home!

About: I’ve always loved animals and have grown up around pets. I’m responsible, patient and enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and specific quirks. I’m happy to help with walks, feeding, playtime or just keeping your pet company while you’re away. I’m a full-time college student and I’m not working currently, so I have a really flexible schedule. I also have a light class load this semester, which gives me plenty of free time throughout the week. Because of that, I’m able to be flexible with different pet schedules and spend plenty of time with them instead of just rushing in and out. I am able to work around your pet’s routine, whether they need a walk, playtime, to be fed, or just someone to hang out with. I’m very attentive when it comes to taking care of animals, and I always want to make sure I know your pet and their routine before you leave. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, watching them at my home for the day, house sitting at your home, etc. I pay close attention to things like feeding schedules, medications, walks, playtime, doors and gates, and any little details that are important to you. I will do everything I can to make your pet feel comfortable and safe while you’re away! Just a heads-up, I do have a cat at home, so any pets staying at my house would need to be comfortable around cats.
“Julia is amazing, super welcoming and friendly. Gus is just adorable, so sweet and easy to get on with other dogs. Maya had such a great time under Julia’s care would highly recommend her to any one. Thank you.”

About: I’ve taken care of my families pets since I was 13, and I became a dog owner 4 years ago!! My baby Jack is a beagle - cavalier king charles spaniel mix and he is the sweetest. I have experience walking dogs, feeding them, bathing them, cuddling with them, and so much more. I absolutely love dogs and spending my time with them :) I work from home during the school year (Aug-May) so I’m available for drop ins, walks, and house sitting after school hours (4pm-late)! I am very flexible with hours and days. For boarding and doggy day care, I work from home 9am-4pm M-F. I see clients in person 4:30-6:30 Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. For doggy daycare my hours are 8am-4pm. if you are unable to pick your dog up before 4:00, then they can be crated during 4-6:30pm. Or, I can drop them off by 4. Weekends I do not work so drop offs at 8am and pick ups are flexible. I can provide play time with my dog inside the home and outside in my yard. They will be supervised at all times by myself or my spouse. They can be let out hourly or more. Can go to the dog park in my neighborhood right behind my house during my lunch break and when I get off at 4. must be friendly with other dogs because my dog will be present! during the summer I only work 1 day/week so very open! I will not allow dogs out without a leash if there’s no fence, and I will always listen to an owners instructions on how to best care for their fur babies. in my home, I have a fenced in backyard. I do not leave dogs home alone unless they are in a crate or kennel. There is a neighborhood dog park right behind my house ( that is typically empty ) that our dogs can play in as well.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every size since I was 10. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to feed, play/exercise, bathe/groom, and love their pets while traveling, moving, or working. Are the morning walks not cutting it for your pup? Do they still have too much energy during the day? Now introducing “Dog Jogs!” Instead of a walk around the block, I will take your dog on a couple mile jog, solo or with other pups, to use up that puppy energy so they will sleep all day while you’re working. Additionally, I work from home and have plenty of time throughout the day for regular exercise and bathroom breaks. I live in a dog friendly community on the first floor with direct access to a large, grassy backyard. Your pet will be looked after at all times during the day, and would never be left alone. I do not have my own pets at this time, and your fur baby would receive all the love and attention it deserves.
About: I’ve had dogs all my life. Since I moved to North Carolina I have fostered over 10 rescue pups, ranging in age from puppies to seniors. I have experience with puppies and all kinds of dog breeds. My first dog of my own was a 10 year old senior pup named Eddie that I rescued from a shelter in Tucson. He was my soul dog and we had many wonderful years of adventures together. Having used Rover I know what it’s like to be worried about leaving your dog behind. I’m a major dog lover and will take great care of your pup! I live in a house with a fenced in yard and know of lots of areas for walks and fun. In 2024, I adopted a lab/shepherd mix puppy named Finnegan! He loves to play! In December 2025 we added our rescue collie mix, Claire. I work for a children’s nonprofit from home so I’ll be able to spend lots of time with your pup. Feel free to ask me any questions! I work from home so my schedule is very flexible and I can easily be ready for potty breaks or walk breaks for high energy pups! I am a big believer of pets being allowed on furniture so I don’t mind if they climb on mine, but if you want to keep them following a certain rule I’m happy to oblige.
“I’m so grateful I found Susie on Rover. My dog Milo seemed very comfortable and well taken care of during his daytime stay at Susie‘s home. She sent great pictures and updates throughout the day. We will definitely be back for our next beach trip!”

“Sarah was amazing with our fur-baby. This was the first time Bleu was with a dog walker and she helped everyone feel at ease. She was attentive to his needs, and helped him feel very comfortable even when he was unsure about walking with a new person.”

About: I love animals and have experience with pets from my time working at a vet clinic receptionist to watching cats and dogs for friends and family! Experience with senior animals and giving medications. I believe in understanding a pet's needs and responding with compassion. I currently work full time in person with a flexible schedule. I will chat with you before we commit to pet sitting to ensure my schedule works for your needs (if that's dropping in before or after my shift, over lunch for a walk, etc). I am able to hang out with your pets, drop in, or walk your pets during the day and stay overnight if needed! I currently don’t offer to have pets stay in my home.
About: I have been around dogs since I was born. My parents have always had at least one dog running around the house, and I now have one myself that lives with me! Layla has gotten ne through some tough times and with that being said I know how important dogs (and cats) are in our lives. I would love to be a sitter, walker, and caregiver to anyone's furry necessity! I am a full time student! Which means that I usually have school all week! I am free after 5pm every day of the week and on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays all day! I have my 3 year old dog named Layla that is very friendly to all dogs! She is playful and loves to meet new friends! I walk her 3-4 times daily because I don't have a fenced yard. This will also be the case if I am boarding a dog! If your dog is crate trained I have a medium sized crate that they can sleep in overnight! I am open to walking as often as needed and will follow routines to a tee!
“Lacey is fabulous! He is polite, patient, and flexible. He walked my 89 year old mother’s dog and handled her constantly changing requests with grace and kindness. Her old dog adapted quickly to his visits and waited by the door for him to arrive. He arrived on time for every walk, printed out the schedule for my mom who forgets things, and was just all-around wonderful. I highly recommend him and thank him for everything he has done.”

“So good. My dog sometimes comes home pretty stressed, no fault of other boarders. But with Allie he was part of a great group of peaceful dogs and came home very relaxed. Great communication throughout his stay. Very good experience.”

“Maddie had a wonderful spring break stay with Gabrielle and her family! She sent us a lot of cute pics and updates so we felt very comfortable. We had to make a last minute itinerary change and Gabrielle helped us with that. This family loves dogs and dies a fabulous job! Thanks- love Maddie and family”

“Olivia was very attentive to our needs for Leila. She shared some great videos with us which made us feel relaxed & happy that our girl was well taken care of.”

“This family is absolutely wonderful when watching your dog and they follow everything you do in your own home! My dog was so happy all weekend getting to play with the friendliest dogs and getting lots of exercise!”
“We love having Rupert stay with Andrew and his family! Andrew is fantastic with communication, takes Rupert on plenty of walks, socializes him with his adorable cat Poe, and gave him his daily medications! We feel so great knowing Rupert is with a wonderful caretaker when we go out of town! We have used Andrew as a sitter multiple times and will continue to do so!”

About: You can trust me to take excellent care of your pet! As well as owning my own pets most of my life (dogs, cats, ferret, bird, rabbits, etc.), I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-veterinary medicine. I have pet-sat for several friends and clients, volunteered at shelters, worked at veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, and for a professional dog walking / cat sitting company. You can rest easy as your pet will be safe in my care. I follow directions well and get the details right! Why I love dog walking and sitting: I have been a dog lover since the day I was born. My first dog, Chief, helped raise me! Since then, I have owned a dog most of my life. Some have called me the "dog-whisperer". I have a pretty good perception of dogs and connect very easily with most. My last dog, Wendell, was a 150 lb. mastiff whom I adopted when he was 4.5 years old. He had never been socialized and was scared of most people, so in the six years we were together, I gained a lot of first-hand experience working through behavioral issues in a very large and strong breed. Our current dog is Lucy, a happy-go-lucky bull terrier who is deaf. She loves every living being! I’m also comfortable taking care of cats and other pets. My experience administering medication: I've given lots of oral meds and various ointments, eye drops, ear drops, etc. I work another part-time job but much of my week is flexible. Let me know your needs and I will do my best to accommodate! ONE DOG FAMILY AT A TIME Boarding and Doggie Day Care: It will only be your dog(s) and our one dog staying at our house. We have a secure, fenced yard, a doggie door, and a covered back patio with doggie beds perfect for lounging in the sun or shade. Our friendly bull terrier, Lucy, will happily keep your dog company! We can easily keep your dog in a separate room while we are away from the house if needed. Lucy’s dad/my significant other, Pedro, also lives here and also loves animals.
“Rebecca and Pippa were great with my pup Harlow! She felt comfortable as soon as she met both of them. Rebecca was wonderful about being flexible with our changing travel plans and was very communicative and responsive. Would definitely recommend and use again! Thanks Rebecca and Pippa! :)”

“Jay was great watching Zoey. He provided lots of pics and updated us on her daily. At Jay's house the dogs are like family and fit right in. We will definitely be using Jay again!”
