About: You can trust me to take excellent care of your pet! As well as owning my own pets most of my life (dogs, cats, ferret, bird, rabbits, etc.), I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-veterinary medicine. I have pet-sat for several friends and clients, volunteered at shelters, worked at veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, and for a professional dog walking / cat sitting company. You can rest easy as your pet will be safe in my care. I follow directions well and get the details right! Why I love dog walking and sitting: I have been a dog lover since the day I was born. My first dog, Chief, helped raise me! Since then, I have owned a dog most of my life. Some have called me the "dog-whisperer". I have a pretty good perception of dogs and connect very easily with most. My last dog, Wendell, was a 150 lb. mastiff whom I adopted when he was 4.5 years old. He had never been socialized and was scared of most people, so in the six years we were together, I gained a lot of first-hand experience working through behavioral issues in a very large and strong breed. Our current dog is Lucy, a happy-go-lucky bull terrier who is deaf. She loves every living being! I’m also comfortable taking care of cats and other pets. My experience administering medication: I've given lots of oral meds and various ointments, eye drops, ear drops, etc. My schedule is pretty flexible. I’m typically available any day of the week and can do early mornings and late evenings if needed. Let me know your needs and I will do my best to accommodate! ONE DOG FAMILY AT A TIME Boarding and Doggie Day Care: It will only be your dog(s) and our one dog staying at our house. We have a secure, fenced yard, a doggie door, and a covered back patio with doggie beds perfect for lounging in the sun or shade. Our friendly bull terrier, Lucy, will happily keep your dog company! We can easily keep your dog in a separate room while we are away from the house if you prefer. Lucy’s dad/my significant other, Pedro, also lives here and also loves animals.

This was the first time anyone would be taking care of a dog of mine outside of family or friends so I was worried to find the right person and unsure about a stranger taking care of my "child" but when I met Diane I felt so comfortable that my Phoebe was in safe hands and that she understood her needs and would care for her like a member of her own family. It's clear immediately how much Diane loves / has a passion for dogs and is a very caring / welcoming person. About: We have been taking care of dogs since 2018! We are so enjoying it!! Hubby walks the dogs and I cuddle and play! It's a win win for your fur baby! For doggie day care we are available between 8 am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Would love long term . We do have one small dog. For boarding we are available both weekdays and weekends. We have a nice fenced-in backyard and my husband takes the dogs out for walks when possible! When that option isn't available,they have dedicated playtime in the yard.We have one dog that is not initially playful but takes a while to warm up but he does typically! I do require a meet and greet before committing and for pets to show proof of rabies shots,heartworm and flea and tic treatments. I work part time outside the home but my hubby works part time in the home so rarely are we both gone at the same time. I have a fenced in yard and my husband tries to walk our dog daily.Typically will hit the area walking trails. If necessary, he is willing to walk animals separately(older dog who can not walk as long or dogs who have health challenges)Our dog is aloof and takes a bit of time to adjust but usually does. We are attentive to this and supervise very closely until we see how things are going to be. We own both a large and small dog crate and can separate them if needed

About: For 12 years I have taken care of dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and birds. I love animals so much and I always love helping out someone with their animals so they don’t have to board them or if you work a long day and need me to give them a walk. I can be very flexible with when you need me and I promise I will treat your animals as I would my own! I have a completely fenced in backyard that is almost half an acre. About: I grew up having cats and reptiles but I've always wanted a dog to have around. I want to experience what it would be like to have a dog so I can finally own one of my own one day. I love animals I wanted to become a vet when I was younger. I have a tortoise right now which is a good pet because they can live very long. As a first time Rover user, in fact the first time ever leaving my 9-year old pup with a stranger, I was incredibly nervous about leaving my dog with someone new. Jordan completely exceeded my expectations. He sent thoughtful updates throughout the stay with a plethora of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind, and it was obvious that my dog was being loved and well cared for. Not only is Jordan amazing, but his family is so kind and welcoming. You can truly tell they care about the dogs they watch and treat them like part of the family. “Diane stood out to me because of her wonderful reviews and the fact that she had multiple repeat family's that trusted her with their dogs. This was the first time anyone would be taking care of a dog of mine outside of family or friends so I was worried to find the right person and unsure about a stranger taking care of my "child" but when I met Diane I felt so comfortable that my Phoebe was in safe hands and that she understood her needs and would care for her like a member of her own family. It's clear immediately how much Diane loves / has a passion for dogs and is a very caring / welcoming person. This was also the first time I would be away from my girl so I appreciated so much the frequent updates from Diane and that Diane took the time to understand Phoebe's personality and I felt she listened to my concerns and reassured me about anything and I knew my Phoebe was in great hands and also having such a fun time.
