“Bella was immediately comfortable with Jennifer, and Jennifer was equally at ease with our large dog. Jennifer continually sent updates and pictures during our time away, making our time more relaxed. It was clear that Bella had a good time. Thank you Jennifer for taking such good care of our baby!”

“Carey was the absolute best dog sitter I could ever ask for!! She was so so helpful and patient and made me feel so at ease taking care of my high-energy German Shepherd, Lady. It’s always a bit nerve-racking to leave your dog with someone new, and especially so when your dog is a handful like my Lady! But Carey truly went above and beyond my expectations, and even when Lady had some frustrating anxiety issues, Carey took care of it without complaint, which seriously meant the world to me. She also sent me lots of photos every day and kept me super updated!! Book Carey for your next dog sitter and you will be so glad you did!!”

I will definitely use her again in the future!”

“My dog stayed with Sue-Ling, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She took such wonderful care of my dog. Kind, patient, and really attentive to her needs. It was clear from the start that Sue-Ling truly loves animals and treats them like her own. There was a small health issue while I was away, but Sue-Ling handled everything calmly and responsibly. She kept me updated right away and made sure my dog was comfortable and safe. I felt completely reassured knowing she was in such good hands. I’m really grateful for the care and attention Sue-Ling gave to my dog, and I would absolutely trust her to look after her again anytime. She’s amazing!”

“Amy was awesome! It was my first time leaving Bailey with anyone other than family. I expected to be nervous but I felt very confident and at ease, especially when Amy sent me photos and videos of Bailey hanging out with her and her family. Bailey did great and I will definitely be calling Amy again when I need a sitter!”

“Cosette and her daughter took great care of Honey while I was away! Honey was a little nervous and had a hard time eating so she pulled out all the tricks to ensure she ate while we were gone!”

“Taylor took great care of our 17 year old senior pup. She has an array of age-related needs, and he made sure she was comfortable, eating regularly, and getting outside...and all of those things are challenging for her at this point. I would highly recommend him!”

“Olivia took such good care of Bernard! She was very communicative and kept us updated with photos. She has a great fenced in yard… allows for dogs to be active!!! Would def recommend.”

“Josephine was very accomodating for our last minute dogsitting needs Thanksgiving weekend. She took great care of Lucy who loved playing with Roxy! We appreciate her patience and love she gave our anxious dog.”

They are very communicative, kind and send lots of pictures and updates. It makes leaving her so much easier knowing that she’s having a great time while I’m gone.”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple pets for family and friends! I’ve worked previously in a dog daycare/boarding and have knowledgeable skills in caring for animals! I have experience in caring for pets of all ages and even performing some grooming services, such as baths, and nail trims. I currently work in vet med and have experience noticing any abnormalities in dog behavior or health. I currently work full-time, however I make time to make sure all pets in my care are physically exercised and mentally stimulated. Both of which are very important to me. I try to give the pets in my care a wonderful time with lots of exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation! They will also receive a lot of hugs and cuddles while they are here!
“Jay was amazing! Our dog was well cared for and Jay gave us great updates. He communicated promptly and our pup was definitely cared for! Highly recommend Jay as a sitter for your pet.”

About: You can trust me to take excellent care of your pet! As well as owning my own pets most of my life (dogs, cats, ferret, bird, rabbits, etc.), I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-veterinary medicine. I have pet-sat for several friends and clients, volunteered at shelters, worked at veterinary clinics, boarding facilities, and for a professional dog walking / cat sitting company. You can rest easy as your pet will be safe in my care. I follow directions well and get the details right! Why I love dog walking and sitting: I have been a dog lover since the day I was born. My first dog, Chief, helped raise me! Since then, I have owned a dog most of my life. Some have called me the "dog-whisperer". I have a pretty good perception of dogs and connect very easily with most. My last dog, Wendell, was a 150 lb. mastiff whom I adopted when he was 4.5 years old. He had never been socialized and was scared of most people, so in the six years we were together, I gained a lot of first-hand experience working through behavioral issues in a very large and strong breed. Our current dog is Lucy, a happy-go-lucky bull terrier who is deaf. She loves every living being! I’m also comfortable taking care of cats and other pets. My experience administering medication: I've given lots of oral meds and various ointments, eye drops, ear drops, etc. My schedule is pretty flexible. I’m typically available any day of the week and can do early mornings and late evenings if needed. Let me know your needs and I will do my best to accommodate! We have a secure, fenced yard, a doggie door, and a covered back patio with doggie beds perfect for lounging in the sun or shade. We also have a friendly bull terrier who will happily keep your dog company! We can easily keep your dog in a separate room while we are away from the house if you prefer. Lucy’s dad/my significant other, Pedro, also lives here and also loves animals.
“Great sitter for our pups for a weekend out of town. Took photos and gave us updates. Huge backyard with fenced in pool to allow our dogs to play in the sun! Even accommodated a later than usual pickup after our flight got delayed. 10/10 recommend!”

“Lauren was AMAZING with Kiwi while I was on vacation. She was extremely patient and calm which helped a lot. Kiwi turned out to be very shy and hid under the couch for a few days. Lauren was patient with her and made her feel comfortable to come out and play. I 100% recommend Lauren to take care of your pet while you’re away. She shows great care and puts your mind at ease! Also, expect the cutest photos of your pet everyday”

“Amy was great with our dog and took special care with him! She helped with medication and monitoring him from a pre-existing injury. She spent time with him and sent great pix, highly recommend!”
“Ava is absolutely amazing! I had flight changes and a small home renovation going on during her stay and she was nothing but understanding, accommodating and reassuring! I will 100% rebook with Ava! Thank you so much for everything!”

“Ashton was great! We had a personalized meet and greet before the booking. She was able to accept last minute. She followed all the instructions, was responsive, communicated well, and took great care of my fur babies. I will book her again.”

“After my first visit to Julia's house, speaking with her, and seeing her great fenced yard and the way her home is set up, I am so comfortable with leaving our pup Annabelle in Julia's hands. We did one day of doggy day care because I'm a nervous dog momma who wanted to make sure it was going to work out before leaving Annabelle overnight for an upcoming trip we have. She came home tired and very happy!!! I Ioved getting to see pics of how much fun she was having with her new dog friends running and playing. I am confident she felt so loved throughout the day. We will definitely take her to Julia's again!”

“Steven and his family did a fantastic job caring for my pup! Walks, play and he even gave him a bath after a long day of play. Steven was very cordial, prompt and sent some pics throughout the day!”

About: We have been taking care of dogs since 2018! We are so enjoying it!! Hubby walks the dogs and I cuddle and play! It's a win win for your fur baby! For doggie day care we are available between 8 am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Would love long term . We do have one small dog. For boarding we are available both weekdays and weekends. We have a nice fenced-in backyard and my husband takes the dogs out for walks when possible! When that option isn't available, they have dedicated playtime in the yard.We have one dog that is not initially playful but takes a while to warm up but he does typically! I do require a meet and greet before committing and for pets to show proof of rabies shots, heartworm and flea and tic treatments. I work part time outside the home but my hubby works part time in the home so rarely are we both gone at the same time. I have a fenced in yard and my husband tries to walk our dog daily.Typically will hit the area walking trails. If necessary, he is willing to walk animals separately(older dog who can not walk as long or dogs who have health challenges)Our dog is aloof and takes a bit of time to adjust but usually does. We are attentive to this and supervise very closely until we see how things are going to be. We own both a large and small dog crate and can separate them if needed
“Allie was wonderful! She has a great set up complete with fenced backyard and swimming pool. I loved that the pups in her care were closely monitored and friendly to my energetic, playful pup! I highly recommend and have my next visit booked already. Thanks, Allie!”

“Colby & Debbie are wonderful to work with. They take great care of my puppy & always send plenty of photos to ease my mind. They have so kindly adapted to her little puppy needs & pay close attention to how she is feeling. I look forward to bringing her to their home because I know that Albie will have a blast being loved all day & playing with their pups while I also can focus on work without worrying. They are wonderful & I absolutely trust their care!”

About: I’m new to ROVER, but a huge lover of all animals and especially dogs ! I have had the joy of caring for my own Golden Retrievers for over 20 years, training and watching them grow from playful pups to aging seniors. Have also fostered two wonderful St Bernards for five fun filled loving years. My latest love is my Mini Cavadoodle - Mable, who is my only dog at home currently . The experience from them all, taught me a lot about the many needs of dogs at every stage of their life. Whether its an energetic puppy or a more laid back senior , I’m always patient, calm and ready to meet each dogs unique personality. I genuinely love dogs of all sizes and breeds, and treat them just like family, and would love the chance to offer your dog the same loving and thoughtful care that I give my own. Currently, I am only accepting Doodle Dogs of all ages and sizes, however, will consider other types and sizes upon request and approval. We do have two cats at home that are very accustomed to all types of dogs. If I show that I’m booked on a time that you need , please still inquire because my situation may be able to accommodate. Meet and Greets are mandatory for the happiness of your pets and mine, as I like to take the time to get to know each dog’s unique routine and love finding out their quirks! Vaccinations must also be up to date. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away and will keep you updated with texts and pictures throughout their stay . —— I am open to considering other types, sizes & situations . If I didnt mention your specific need - just ask ! I work remotely, so I am home a lot during the day for walks, playtime and companionship. And am happy to take them to dog parks or to the beach to walk the loop - or any of their necessary appointments, all based on your request and approval. Located in the desirable Eastwood Road/Mayfaire area of Wilmington, just minutes from Wrightsville Beach and within walking distance of Port City Community Church (PC3). Conveniently located near Mayfaire shopping and dining, Airlie Gardens, UNCW, and only a short drive to the beach . My pets are never unsupervised outdoors and are strictly leash-walked for all their needs. The neighborhood is a great low traffic area for long walks .

“Lacey is fabulous! He is polite, patient, and flexible. He walked my 89 year old mother’s dog and handled her constantly changing requests with grace and kindness. Her old dog adapted quickly to his visits and waited by the door for him to arrive. He arrived on time for every walk, printed out the schedule for my mom who forgets things, and was just all-around wonderful. I highly recommend him and thank him for everything he has done.”

“My pup got sick and stopped eating while I was away and Sophia was instrumental in helping me navigate the situation from afar. She was very communicative around his demeanor and food intake. She worked with me to trouble shoot until we got him eating again. I am so thankful for how much she cares for my pup!”

“Carol was a great dog sitter and I will definitely have her watch my dog again. She sent me updates about my dog as well as pictures. I felt very comfortable with living my dog with Carol. ”

About: Hi, I'm Elizabeth! Dogs haven't just been a part of my life—they have been my entire life. Growing up with dogs since childhood, I have over 30 years of hands-on experience as a dedicated pet owner. Over the decades, I’ve loved and cared for some pretty incredible rescues, giving me a deep understanding of different temperaments, behaviors, and unique backgrounds. My personal pack has included everything from the high energy of a beautiful Golden Retriever to the wonderful, grateful souls of two rescued Black Labs. I am also currently the proud parent of a sweet senior Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who requires daily medication and a very energetic and active 1.5 yr old Lab/Hound rescue. Managing senior care and strict medical schedules is second nature to me, so if your pup needs a gentle touch, precise pill administration, or just a little extra patience, they are in highly capable hands. Whether your dog is a bouncy puppy who needs to burn off some energy or a sweet senior who prefers a quiet cuddle, I treat every guest like a member of my own family. I can’t wait to meet your furry best friend and give them the safe, loving, and attentive care they deserve while you're away! Pet care isn't just a task for me—it’s the anchor of my daily routine. Since I work from home, my days naturally revolve around the needs of my own pack, starting with early morning walks or runs and daily trips to the dog park. Because I maintain a highly structured and active routine at home, stepping away for regular potty breaks, playtime, and fresh air is already second nature to me. Whether it's keeping a high-energy pup active and engaged or ensuring a sweet senior gets their quiet resting time, your dog will seamlessly blend into a day already filled with love, structure, and plenty of attention. My home is a true haven for dogs, fully set up to mirror the love, safety, and structure they get at home. Guests have the freedom to lounge in a comfortable, climate-controlled environment, with plenty of cozy spots for naps and dedicated spaces for peaceful downtime. Because I am highly experienced with managing multiple dog personalities your pup’s specific routine will be followed to the letter. Walks, playtime, and potty breaks are built into the day to keep active dogs happy. Safety and supervision are my top priorities, ensuring a stress-free environment where your furry family member can feel entirely secure, loved, and pampered while you're away.
About: I truly LOVE animals, I’d adopt them all if I could. Whether I’m caring for energetic puppies, independent cats, or senior pets who need a little extra patience, I provide loving, attentive care tailored to their needs. I’ll also water your plants, bring in your mail, and send plenty of photo updates so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. I’m new to rover but not to pet sitting :) I work full-time with a schedule that is typically either 7:00 AM–2:00 PM or 1:00 PM–9:00 PM. This flexibility allows me to spend quality time with pets before and after work, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of attention. I carefully consider my schedule before accepting bookings to ensure I can meet each pet’s needs and maintain their regular routine. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. I care for every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and on their normal routine while you’re away. Whether that means long walks, playtime, cuddle sessions, or simply providing a calm and reassuring presence, I’ll make sure your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your furry family member is in good hands.

About: I always grew up with at least one pet, either it was a cat or a dog. Whenever a friend or a neighbor was going out of town, they always knew they could call me. I love playing and giving attention to all dogs and cats. I am able to handle many pets at once, if needed. I will play games with your pets and be able to know their feeding regiments. I am also able to clean up after your pets and keep them clean and healthy. I have a dog park near me so I am able to take them there and walk them around and play with them. I am happy to do anything and everything for your pets whenever i am available.
“5+ Stars for Allie and her son, who were amazingly flexible with fitting my furbaby into their schedule on a last-minute emergent need that I had. They showed up every day on time and followed my worried-mama intructions to the letter, LOL! Koda was very happy with their care, and I would use them again without a doubt.”

About: I’ve always connected well with animals, especially dogs. I’ve dog walked and watched others’ animals from a very young age. I was 22 when I decided to become a dog trainer. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the best programs in the country at Animal Behavior College, with a certificate in canine behavior therapy & a concentration in rehabilitating shelter dogs. I’m also qualified to train emotional support animals, which has been so rewarding. I chose this as a career path because of how much I genuinely love all living things. I can’t wait to meet your furry friends and give them the best care they could ask for! I own my own business, so I make my own schedule. I can tend to whatever schedule best suits the animals. I don’t have pets of my own, so that gives me even more flexibility. I always make sure I’m doing my best to care for animals, in any aspect of my life or career. I’m diligent in making sure their feeding, walking and play schedules are upheld promptly, and that their routines stay relatively in tact. This is one of the best things you can do to ease a pet’s anxiety about their owners being away. I work as a trainer, which means I’m happy to add on training sessions with your pet while they’re in my care, through my business if that’s something of interest. I’m very amenable to the specifications for each individual animal. Some dogs like to be given affection on the couch for a few minutes each day. Others might enjoy watching the birds in their yard for a while. I’m always happy to attune my care for each dog. When walking a dog, the quality of the walks are just as important as their frequency. Dogs require a certain level of mental stimulation each day, and ten minutes of sniffing is enough to satisfy most dog’s needs. They need the sniffing as much as the exercise. Your dog will be given ample time to sniff and “read the doggy newspaper”, as well as get some great exercise. I always make sure the animal has gotten everything that they need from the experience.

“Steven and his family were amazing taking care of our family dog all week. It was our first time using the Rover app and they were above and beyond wonderful. They sent many photos and gave her plenty of exercise and playtime. We joked she had a nice vacation herself and may want to stay!”

“Allie helped us out when we were in a pinch. So grateful for the peace of mind. Digi was able to stay cool while we were out in the heat. Thanks Allie! We will look ya up next time we are in the area.”

“Olivia took such good care of Bernard! She was very communicative and kept us updated with photos. She has a great fenced in yard… allows for dogs to be active!!! Would def recommend.”

“Andrew and Erin, I’ve been the best pet sitters we could ask for! Our little multi-Pooh, Chloe, absolutely loves them, and has a great time with them! They are very communicative, kind and send lots of pictures and updates. It makes leaving her so much easier knowing that she’s having a great time while I’m gone.”

About: I’ve had animals since I was a kid and always enjoyed taking care of them! It’s very rewarding for me. In my early 20s I was a dog trainer I’m a stay at home dad. We have a 10 and a 5 year old. I take walks throughout the day and between my wife someone is always home unless we are taking the kids somewhere. If they like the car and the park I can even take them with me! I walk a lot and am outside with my kids throughout the day. My kids love dogs so they will be showered with love and cuddles (if they enjoy that).

“Hilary took such great care of our girl! Sadie has a lot of quirks and takes time to warm up and Hilary was patient and understanding. I had a lot of peace of mind while we were away on our trip knowing she was well taken care of!”

“Ben and his family watched our very energetic 1 year old Bernedoodle, Kody, for a week while we were away. We were very comfortable knowing that he was being played with and well cared for. He came home happy and exhausted, so we know he was having fun. We will definitely recommend Ben and will not hesitate to use him again!”

About: I know you’ve heard the same story on here just with a different name attached to it. So I’ll save you the “I’ve been around animals my entire life speech”. If you entrust me with your animals, I will care for them as if they were my own. You’ll never have to question whether they’re being loved, well cared for, and thoroughly spoiled. I pride myself on clear communication, reliability, and punctuality, so you’ll always know your pets are safe and happy. From consistent updates to dependable care, your animals will always be treated with the attention, comfort, and affection they deserve. They truly couldn’t be in better hands. I work a full time job but it is a split schedule so my availability is different than the standard fri-sun availability that comes with having a full time job. I provide attentive, in-home pet care tailored to each pet’s routine and personality. From feeding schedules and walks to playtime, medication support, litter box cleaning, and companionship, I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I treat every home with respect and every pet like family, giving updates and plenty of love along the way.
“They were a lovely family, and took care of my pup very well! They took him on walks, gave him plenty of treats, and showed him more love than I could have asked for. I received pictures and text messages every day. I felt comfortable having my little one stay with them while I was away. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”
