About: **About me** Hello pet friends! My name is Taylor and I currently live with my wife, son, two daughters, and one dog, Charlie! I work as a high school math teacher and my wife telecommutes from home. We love Charlie who is an intricate part of our family! Nothing is better than coming home and snuggling with the dog(s) on our couch! **About my home/services** We have a lovely 1800 sq. ft house with a dog that would love a companion for the day, night, or weekend! We keep our house clean except for the many dog toys which can be spread across the house while we play. We have a great outdoor area which is fully enclosed by fencing!! Great for playing fetch or just enjoying some sunshine! Between my wife and me, there will always be supervision of your pet. **About my neighborhood** We live in a culdesac which has very little traffic in a quiet neighborhood. Our backyard is our main method for dogs to use the restroom but we can always accomodate or walk dogs on leash through the neighborhood. **What to expect** Your dog can become part of our pack! We usually take our dog out to use the restroom every 3-4 hours. Charlie is a great snuggler and loves getting comfy on the couch. Additionally when feeling spunky we play fetch, tug of war, and run around the house! **Special rules or requests** Dogs must be friendly to our dog and be good with my son who is ten and my daughters who are 6 and 1 years old. If any of this sounds unsure, this might not be the fit for staying with us...Otherwise we can't wait! My wife is always home so we can accompany dogs 24/7. We have an enclosed backyard to accommodate many bathroom breaks. We make sure to keep close watch on all our visitors! We have one dog annd three kids and your dog will fit right into the pack! Whether your dog is active or like to snuggle on the couch we are ready!
“Helena was wonderful with our dog Max and super attentive! She followed our instructions perfectly and Max got plenty of play time and walks, which he just loved. Max would be happy to have her back to take care him any time :)”

About: I will treat your fur kids as my own. Family friends and neighbors have always asked me if I could help them out and I loved doing it. I work full-time with a schedule that is typically either 7:00 AM–2:00 PM or 1:00 PM–9:00 PM. This flexibility allows me to spend quality time with pets before and after work, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of attention. I carefully consider my schedule before accepting bookings to ensure I can meet each pet’s needs and maintain their regular routine. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. I care for every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and on their normal routine while you’re away. Whether that means long walks, playtime, cuddle sessions, or simply providing a calm and reassuring presence, I’ll make sure your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away knowing your furry family member is in good hands.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all kinds and sizes since I was ten. Neighbors, family, and friends have relied on me to take care of their furry friends by feeding, walking, cleaning up, and checking in on their pets while they’re on vacation or even just at work. I absolutely adore animals, and am more than willing to play outside with the higher-energy pets or just sit and cuddle with the lower energy ones. I’m currently in school taking summer classes, and have a lab every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am-12:50pm. I’m a bit of an early bird, so I can come before 10:00am to check in on your fur baby and take them for a walk. I’m hoping to start working soon, but at the moment my availability is completely open! For dogs: I am more than willing to take them in my car to go for a longer walk if they’re higher energy! I love to walk The Loop by Wrightsville beach, and of course a good Starbucks+Pup Cup run. I’d also love to take your puppies out for socialization or shorter outings, but most importantly I like to follow the Owner’s lead and instructions!!! For Cats: I always pay close attention to owner instructions, but also will follow your cat’s lead for interaction based on their mood and temperament.
“Ava is absolutely amazing! I had flight changes and a small home renovation going on during her stay and she was nothing but understanding, accommodating and reassuring! I will 100% rebook with Ava! Thank you so much for everything!”

“Kelly is the absolute best! She eases all my worries while I’m away from my puppy. She’s very understanding of puppy behavior, and helps to enforce the things I’m teaching him. She goes above and beyond helping clean up accidents he’s left. She’s great at communicating with me. And my puppy is clearly very happy and tired out when she leaves!”

“5 stars! Marshall is a total lifesaver. Beyond being a great communicator and very tidy, he was incredibly flexible when I missed my flight home. He jumped right back in unexpectedly to care for my dog Hayley without a hitch. He’s dependable, professional, and truly someone you can count on. I highly recommend!”

“For our first time using Rover I’m so grateful and impressed by how easy Kennedy made everything! A true professional and confident especially given we had 5 dogs! I’d recommend Kennedy to anyone and will definitely be rebooking in the future! Thanks, Kennedy!”

About: I have stayed the night at houses for multiple nights. I have walked multiple pets at a time on leashes. I am able to administer medicine as needed. I can give the love and care you give to your pets while away. I am working part-time at a restaurant and part- time in a lab at UNCW. I have a flexible schedule with breaks in my day to care for pets and give potty breaks. My pets at home have a yard and most days we leave the backdoor open for them to go in and out as they please. I take my pets for walks daily and can do the same for your pets. I will care for your pets as you do for them.
“We have had a great experience with our drop in visits from Mandy. She was able to be flexible with our schedule, and the dogs seemed so happy and well taken care of when we got back from our vacation. Thanks Mandy!”

About: I've lived with dogs and cats my whole life, and they’ve always been part of my home! I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, from puppies to giants! Whether it’s administering medications or going on walks, I always tailor my care to each dog. Cats hold a special place in my heart too. I know how important it is to give them space and time to adjust—especially during changes in environment or routine. I’m patient, observant, and always respectful of their boundaries. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I’m excited to offer reliable, loving care for your pets. Weekends I’m very much available at any time! Weekdays I can do Monday or Friday with few exceptions on Wednesdays. During the week, very early mornings or afternoon and evening visits work best. I currently will only work as a dog walker and cat sitter, and will be caring for your dog or cat in their own home or a park/neighborhood. Depending on the dog’s preferences and medical needs, I will tailor the experience directly for your pet. From cuddles to fast jogs, your pet will be in a safe and comfortable environment! Any extra details or accommodations will be greatly exercised. As per the cat, a gentle approach will always be used! My goal is to make the cat feel comfortable with a new person who can give medications, feed, clean litter pans, and cuddle up!
“Allie provided drop in visits for Sabrina, our pure bred Maine Coon cat on January 1 -3. She was punctual and completed administration of an asthma inhaler without any problems. We received a picture everyday and a visit summary.”

About: I have had a lot of experience taking care of dogs since I started my own "business" when I was 7, walking and pet-sitting for people around my neighborhood. I had 3 dogs and 3 cats growing up. Recently I'm most often just filling in for family friends on stays away. I have taken care of a handful of senior dogs and have a good understanding of their behaviors. I like to be outside and moving, so I happily will take your dog(s) out or on frequent or long walks. I will be available 7 days of the week, minus miscellaneous appointments and such. I am more than comfortable with overnight stays, walks, and drop ins, and multiple day sitting. My roommate is allergic to dander so I will be unable to bring pets into my home. I take notes very seriously for pets that need that extra care/the specifics. I will happily be able to walk, feed, play, let out and crate dogs as needed.
“I can’t thank Baily enough for how great she was caring for my cat!! She was very kind, communicative and consistent. I highly recommend her to anyone that is in need of a sitter— she’s the best!!”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life and I have been taking care of animals as a job on and off since I was 12 years old. I currently work for a doggy daycare and boarding center, and I have volunteered at multiple rescues! I have experience with many different breeds of all ages and sizes. I’ve done drop in visits, walks, overnight stays and more, and I’d love to help out with whatever you and your pets may need! :) I’m currently working part time and usually have 3-4 shifts a week. I’m also a student, however my work is all online so my availability tends to be very flexible. I am not available for services in my own home due to my own pets, but I’m available for any services you may need in your own home or outside!
About: My extensive experience caring for dogs since I was in high school has prepared me to take care of your pup(s). From waking up early in the morning to let outside, long walks to help unleash pent up energy, to shifting around in bed to make room for dogs to sleep with the pack - I am here to make sure your pup enjoys the stay away from home! I am taking the year off from work and have plenty of time to look after your pup(s). Recently moved to an apartment complex near Wrightsville Beach. I usually take my Rover pups on about five walks a day - so they get plenty of outside time and chances to meet other pups along the walkway. Dogs are welcome on my couches and bed. If you bring your pup's dog bed for their visit, I set it up by a window that looks onto Wrightsville Avenue so they can watch people and cars go by.
Masonboro pet parents share their Rover experiences
Sarah is the cat whisperer! While my cat loves me, she is typically a grade A menace to… everyone else. Sarah was efficient, took photos, communicated well, and very timely. I don’t think I’ve ever been so at ease about getting someone to check on my cat while I’m gone - will definitely rebook with her in the future!

Tristan was very sweet and communicative! My cats absolutely loved her and were very happy with her watching them while I was gone! She took lots of pictures of them for me and gave them lots of cuddles and playtime! I definitely recommend booking with her if you’re looking for someone to care for your furry friends!

Amazing! Great communication throughout the entire vacation, with great pictures and videos too. Our dogs are a little difficult when we’re not home and she handled them with care as if they were her own. Our cats also loved her, even our scaredy cat warmed up quickly. We would highly recommend her for all your pet care needs!

Nancy was amazing with our Sadie this weekend! She is an anxious pup and doesn’t love new people, but Nancy took her time to gain Sadie’s trust. The pictures and notes gave me peace of mind! Sadie was comfortable enough for belly rubs and walks in a few short visits. Highly recommend Nancy!

Sydney was phenomenal! She made me feel at ease from the first meeting, seeing how my dogs reacted to her and she engaged with them. I had never left them overnight for this long before and was so nervous. Sydney checked on them daily as asked, and sent me pictures and updates. I will most definitely be using her again!
