“Excellent communication and took good care of Ellie--sent pictures and it looked liked Taylor's son was getting along with Ellie--Taylor said his daughter also loved Ellie. Using again--next time for a week.”

“Jerry was amazing and took excellent care of Raya. He even celebrated her first birthday with a pup cup and doggy cookies! I very much appreciated the updates and pictures of how she was doing. Highly recommend Jerry!”

“Samantha and her family were the best! They took such great care of Finn, he came home a very tired, happy boy. She was very quick to respond and provided daily updates with pictures while I was away. I will absolutely use this family again as a sitter. They are so trusting and I will be recommending them to all of my friends :)”

“Olivia is wonderful. She took great care of our 17-year-old cockapoo Simba (also gave her Meds daily). She was very responsive and communicated with us daily, sending us daily photos of Simba’s adventures. Her home has a good setup for dogs with a fenced back yard. I highly recommend Olivia to care for your dog! I will certainly utilize Olivia in the future if needed.”

“We felt that Rosie was in great hands while in Allie’s care. Very accommodating with drop off and pick up. Great communication. Will definitely be using Allie’s services again!”

“Opie doesn't like being from home. But he must have had a good time because he hadn't pouted or acted out since being home. Thank you for taking good care of h8m.”

About: I’ve loved animals my entire life. Growing up, our family always had dogs and cats, and as an adult, I’ve had the privilege of caring for two blind rescue dogs, as well as my current lovable 16-pound Aussiedoodle, Zoey. Zoey lives with me and gets along well with other dogs. For the past 2½ years, I’ve owned and operated a dog-walking and cat-care business, caring for a variety of neighborhood pets. My experience includes three 19-year-old cats, two medium and large Doodles, a Dachshund I’ve cared for since he was just 10 weeks old, and dogs of many different mixed breeds, ages, and personalities. My approach is to always let the animal lead. Both of my rescue dogs came from very difficult circumstances, and I learned how important patience, trust, and a sense of safety are. Rather than expecting an animal to immediately feel comfortable with me, I give them the time and space they need to open up on their own. With a calm, loving, and safe environment, that trust usually begins to develop naturally. I’m especially comfortable with animals who may be shy, fearful, cautious, or unsure of strangers. I take a very gentle approach, allowing them to get to know me at their own pace. Once they feel safe and comfortable, that’s when the magic unfolds! I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine, whether that means sleeping in a crate at night or curling up on the bed. I live in a first-floor apartment facing a nice open green space, which makes it easy to provide frequent potty breaks and neighborhood walks. With pet-parent permission, it’s my norm to send daily updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away. I’m also comfortable administering medications and handling foods that require refrigeration or freezing. I watch dogs who are 1-25 lbs. My schedule is fairly flexible, and I do my best to accommodate each pet’s individual routine and needs. Just let me know what works best for you and your pet! I am currently retired so I am home most of the day/night. I live with my 16 lb non-shedding Aussie doogle dog, Zoey. I may step out to run errands, go to an appointment, other, but am otherwise at home. I allow dogs to sleep on my bed or stay in a crate at night, per pet parents wishes. If you are traveling and require a pick up after 6 pm just let me know so we can work something out. I live in an apartment on the first floor, so I have easy access to let dogs out for potty breaks as I face an open green space. I live in a safe community with plenty of sidewalks and street lighting. I often walk my dog clients in the morning when it is cool outside, so they can get adequate exercise. On rainy days, I like to occupy your pet with tug-o-war, or a treat-kong, or playing with other toys. Please feel free to bring your dog's favorite toys.
“Valerie helped us out with a last minute sit on a holiday! She was an excellent communicator and wonderful host for my two dogs. She was flexible with drop off times and really helpful when we changed our plans at the last minute. Her home is in a quiet neighborhood with a really large fenced in backyard! Definitely recommend.”

“Megan was so great with Bagel! Bagel is definitely a ball of anxiety sometimes and she was so chill with Megan. She sent lots of photos and bagel seemed so happy she even ran back around to say bye to Megan when we picked her up. Will definitely be reaching out again”

“Andrew and Erin, I’ve been the best pet sitters we could ask for! Our little multi-Pooh, Chloe, absolutely loves them, and has a great time with them! They are very communicative, kind and send lots of pictures and updates. It makes leaving her so much easier knowing that she’s having a great time while I’m gone.”

“Haley and her sweet daughter entertained my puppy really well during a short stay. He was on the last two days of his neutering care and she still accepted the job. He was fine at pickup as well. I appreciated the frequent communication and photos. And Haley took the time to find an item at the grocery store that he might like since he was being a picky eater and reviewed it with me. I had peace of mind during my work retreat in knowing that my puppy was in great hands.”

“Carey was the absolute best dog sitter I could ever ask for!! She was so so helpful and patient and made me feel so at ease taking care of my high-energy German Shepherd, Lady. It’s always a bit nerve-racking to leave your dog with someone new, and especially so when your dog is a handful like my Lady! But Carey truly went above and beyond my expectations, and even when Lady had some frustrating anxiety issues, Carey took care of it without complaint, which seriously meant the world to me. She also sent me lots of photos every day and kept me super updated!! Book Carey for your next dog sitter and you will be so glad you did!!”

“Zoe’s first stay with Kim was great. She sent daily pics and updates…many with her children, who, I think, found a new playmate. Kim is friendly, engaging & very accommodating. We wouldn’t hesitate to leave Zoe with her again.”

“Her credentials are what drew me to her and from day one (the meet and greet) I knew she’d be the one. Loki my male cat doesn’t warm up to anyone for at least a week of them coming around and he went right to her. He could sense her kind soul. I have never hired a pet sitter before this but I will definitely hire Taryn again. She went above and beyond. I had to have major surgery and was in the hospital for 7 days and it was comforting to know that my cats Stella and Loki were in terrific loving hands. Love Love Love her!!!”

“For our first time using Rover I’m so grateful and impressed by how easy Kennedy made everything! A true professional and confident especially given we had 5 dogs! I’d recommend Kennedy to anyone and will definitely be rebooking in the future! Thanks, Kennedy!”

“Brandon took excellent care of my cat. He kept me updated on how she behaved, and sent me pictures. He is knowledgeable on cat behavior and issues. I recommend him as a sitter.”

“Amelia is was amazing with our 13 year old dog. She sent multiple photos with every check-in. She also kept us updated on how Jarvis was eating while we were gone - he has some separation anxiety and doesn’t always like to eat a lot when we aren’t home. I highly recommend booking with Amelia - we definitely will book again the next time we need someone to check in on Jarvis!”

About: I grew up with both dogs and cats and have cared for pets throughout my life. I currently share my home with three dogs: Harley, a 70-pound SuperMutt, and Biggie and Smalls, two Dachshund siblings. Living with dogs of very different sizes and personalities has taught me how important it is to adapt to each pet’s individual needs. I am comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, companionship, and multi-dog households. I am patient, dependable, attentive, and will care for your pets with the same respect and affection I give my own. Pet care is already a central part of my daily routine because I share my home with three dogs of different sizes and personalities. My days include regular meals, bathroom breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. I can plan carefully around confirmed bookings so each pet receives dependable, unrushed care while staying as close as possible to their normal routine. I treat every pet’s safety, comfort, and routine as the top priorities. I follow each owner’s instructions closely, keep doors and gates secure, use leashes appropriately, supervise interactions, and separate pets during meals when needed. In my home, I would only accept pets that are a good fit with my three resident dogs and would introduce them gradually. In a client’s home, I am respectful of the space and provide regular updates so pet parents know their animals are safe and comfortable.

About: I’ve been a dog lover since I could remember. I love the comfort of a dog beside me at any moment. When I’m having a bad day I always find my dogs bring me the love I need. But as a sitter I make sure to take really good care of the dogs and make them feel as comfortable as needed when they are away from their owner. I am currently a college student and like to mix a little bit of pet sitting into my schedule. I am mostly available when it comes to breaks and summer but feel free to reach out! When it comes to my home I make sure they are comfortable and getting enough attention and are taken outside as much as possible and feed regularly

About: Having been around and owned different animals all my life, I have years of experience with dog routines, feeding schedules, training habits and cuddles. I enjoy playing fetch and walking my pup daily and would love to include yours! I'm a stay at home mom so I'm around all the time for all your pets needs. I am available 7 days a week. I have a fenced in yard with a very friendly Lab and daughter that will keep your pup company. Going for walks or runs in the mornings with plenty of fetch in the backyard is a good day here.
“Jerry was absolutely amazing! My booking was pretty last minute because I was so scrambled that weekend, but Jerry was able to pull through and helped me so much! Bud looked like he had an absolute blast with Jerry and Bud got taken on so many new adventures which he looked like he absolutely loved. Jerry was even able to pick up Bud for me which saved me so much time that morning and gave him a bath for me before I went to go pick up Bud later that day! Jerry is literally so amazing and I will definitely book with him again in the future!”

“Valerie was wonderful with my pup. She sent updates and kept me informed as to how my pup did while he was with her. Her home and yard were safe and appropriate for pet sitting. I am very thankful that we found her to care for our boy.”

“Matt and Louise took such great care of our Pearl! They made sure she was comfortable getting acclimated to their space and dogs. They are very welcoming and wonderful people!”

About: We have been taking care of dogs since 2018! We are so enjoying it!! Hubby walks the dogs and I cuddle and play! It's a win win for your fur baby! For doggie day care we are available between 8 am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Would love long term . We do have one small dog. For boarding we are available both weekdays and weekends. We have a nice fenced-in backyard and my husband takes the dogs out for walks when possible! When that option isn't available, they have dedicated playtime in the yard.We have one dog that is not initially playful but takes a while to warm up but he does typically! I do require a meet and greet before committing and for pets to show proof of rabies shots, heartworm and flea and tic treatments. I work part time outside the home but my hubby works part time in the home so rarely are we both gone at the same time. I have a fenced in yard and my husband tries to walk our dog daily.Typically will hit the area walking trails. If necessary, he is willing to walk animals separately(older dog who can not walk as long or dogs who have health challenges)Our dog is aloof and takes a bit of time to adjust but usually does. We are attentive to this and supervise very closely until we see how things are going to be. We own both a large and small dog crate and can separate them if needed
About: For 12 years I have taken care of dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and birds. I love animals so much and I always love helping out someone with their animals so they don’t have to board them or if you work a long day and need me to give them a walk. I can be very flexible with when you need me and I promise I will treat your animals as I would my own! I am currently working part time right now, so I can definitely be flexible with hours that fit your schedule. If you need me a day or night, I can be there to help with your animals! I have a completely fenced in backyard that is almost half an acre. My two dogs Lulu and Fez are sweethearts, and they have always gotten along with any dog or cat that I’ve brought over to the house.
“Julia is the BEST!! She took amazing care of my pup, who needed meds regularly and to be watched closely from a recent surgery. I couldn’t have asked for better care and my baby comes home so incredibly happy!! Thank you Julia, you will be Romos home away from home forever!”
About: I have three dogs — a senior, a teenager, and a pup — so I understand energy levels at every stage of a dog’s life. I’ve trained all of them myself and know that different breeds need different things, especially mental stimulation. I make sure my dogs get that stimulation daily so they feel like they have a job, which has really helped with anxiety. I’ve also had a cat and volunteered at animal shelters, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities and needs. Your pet will be treated just like one of my own. I’m also a college student, so when I’m not in class I’m happy to come take care of your pets. I know your schedule matters, so I stay flexible and work around whatever timing suits you best. Your pet’s safety always comes first. In your home, I follow your routines, keep an eye out for anything unfamiliar, and make sure doors and gates stay secure. With my own three dogs, I’m used to managing different temperaments and energy levels safely together, and my time volunteering at animal shelters taught me how to stay calm and attentive with pets I’m just getting to know. I treat every home and every pet with the same care and respect I’d want for my own.
About: Having grown up on a farm, I have been around animals all my life. Currently, I live behind the university with my two cavaliers on a little less than an acre. My two are wonderful with other dogs and looking for some playmates. My fenced-in backyard makes for the perfect playground, and your dogs will be free to come and go as they please from inside to the fenced in area. I have boarded as many as 4 dogs at one time and have cared for senior dogs (18+). Reach out for information on boarding opportunities and/or for additional details. I am here full-time and available currently for boarding any time of the day as well as on weekends. I maintain full care of my two, so the more, the merrier! I have a fenced-in backyard that allows for safe and carefree playtime. My two dogs are very friendly and are sure to make for excellent playmates.
“Cara got some very good exposure to calm larger dogs and it was a positive experience! A nice walk at Long Leaf Park with Buddy was a great thing for her to do. Thank you Allie!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. While I don't currently have pets at my apartment where I'll be pet sitting, my family has five dogs, so I'm very familiar with caring for multiple dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I volunteered with a local animal rescue throughout all four years of high school, where I cared for dogs of all ages and temperaments by walking, feeding, socializing, and helping them feel safe and comfortable while they waited to find their forever homes. During that time, I also served as a foster, providing temporary homes for rescue dogs and helping them adjust to a loving environment. These experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and how to build trust with animals. In college, I served as the Treasurer for UNCW's Service Dog Training and Education Program (STEP) for two years. While I'm not a professional dog trainer, my involvement with the organization gave me valuable experience working alongside service dogs and handlers. I'm happy to reinforce basic training, good manners, and routines while your pet is in my care. One thing that sets me apart is that I work from home, which means your pet will receive plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. They'll rarely be left alone, and I'll be able to stick closely to their normal routine, whether that means regular potty breaks, playtime, walks, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company. I understand that every pet is unique, and my goal is to make them feel safe, loved, and right at home while you're away. I'll care for your pet as if they were one of my own and will always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy complete peace of mind. Because I work from home, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I'm able to provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and supervised care throughout the day. Your pet won't be left alone for long periods, and I can easily accommodate their normal schedule to help them feel comfortable and at ease. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide morning, afternoon, and evening care. Whether your pet needs an active day filled with walks and play or simply a calm, cozy environment with lots of love and attention, I'm happy to tailor my care to their individual needs. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, preferences, and any special instructions so I can provide care that's as close to home as possible. Because I work from home, I'll be with your pet for most of the day to provide supervision, companionship, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment where your pet will have a safe, calm environment to relax and feel at home. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member, and I'll treat your pet with the same love and attention I'd give my own.
“I’m so grateful I found Susie on Rover. My dog Milo seemed very comfortable and well taken care of during his daytime stay at Susie‘s home. She sent great pictures and updates throughout the day. We will definitely be back for our next beach trip!”

“Jordan was an absolute delight! She has great communication skills and a lovely personality to match. She’s also accommodating and great at keeping us updated with photos/videos and text messages. My dogs love her, her boyfriend, and her sweet puppy, Theo. I would most definitely recommend. 10/10.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every size since I was 10. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to feed, play/exercise, bathe/groom, and love their pets while traveling, moving, or working. Are the morning walks not cutting it for your pup? Do they still have too much energy during the day? Now introducing “Dog Jogs!” Instead of a walk around the block, I will take your dog on a couple mile jog, solo or with other pups, to use up that puppy energy so they will sleep all day while you’re working. Additionally, I work from home and have plenty of time throughout the day for regular exercise and bathroom breaks. I live in a dog friendly community on the first floor with direct access to a large, grassy backyard. Your pet will be looked after at all times during the day, and would never be left alone. I do not have my own pets at this time, and your fur baby would receive all the love and attention it deserves.

About: I truly LOVE animals, I’d adopt them all if I could. Whether I’m caring for energetic puppies, independent cats, or senior pets who need a little extra patience, I provide loving, attentive care tailored to their needs. I’ll also water your plants, bring in your mail, and send plenty of photo updates so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. I’m new to rover but not to pet sitting :) I work full-time with a schedule that is typically either 7:00 AM–2:00 PM or 1:00 PM–9:00 PM. This flexibility allows me to spend quality time with pets before and after work, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and lots of attention. I carefully consider my schedule before accepting bookings to ensure I can meet each pet’s needs and maintain their regular routine. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priorities. I care for every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and on their normal routine while you’re away. About: I have always loved taking care of pets for as long as I can remember. There, I create safe play groups, feed, walk, play, and of course, clean! I will make sure to pay close attention to any special needs your pet may have. Accommodating to your dogs energy level, temperament, age, and health is very important to me. I will ensure to pay very close attention to any issues or concerns I may see while spending time with your pup. I believe maintaining a clean and tidy environment is important to an animals health. I will provide updates with messages and pictures about our time together. I look forward to hanging out and connecting with you and your pet! I am currently a college student, working an odd schedule. I will try to accommodate accordingly to whatever fits best for you. I make your pets needs and care a #1 priority, next to school work of course. I have 2 dogs of my own, Luna (labradoodle), who I have trained since she was a puppy, and Lacy (French Bulldog), who I am currently training (she is 5 months old). Although I do not have professional training experience, I will say I put all my patience into providing simple tasks that can better your dogs skills. Whether if it’s during walks, crate time, or a simple sit and stay, I will provide my best efforts for your pup to succeed in these things. Along with training, I always make sure to spend quality time with my puppies because we are what’s most important to them. I believe playtime is very important to keeping a dog young and healthy! In any clients home, I make sure to spend as much quality time with the clients dog to build a strong connection.
About: I have had pets all my life growing up on a farm ranging from Guinea pigs to horses. I have trained hunting dogs for most of my childhood from puppies to senior. I previously worked as a pet sitter every summer. I have experience accommodating for dogs with illnesses, medications, or disabilities. I work remotely so I’m present and available throughout the day. Typically, I take my dog for a 20 min walk 3 times a day. With additional backyard time throwing the ball, training, or relaxing. I love my dog unconditionally and all I want is for pets to have long, happy, and healthy lives. I adopted our dog when he was 3 weeks old and have been through all the ups and downs of puppy care. I actively research healthy pet food brands and chews to ensure my dog is not consuming anything harmful. I keep a clean house so nothing is left on the ground or anywhere my dog can reach it. I have an active, outdoor lifestyle so exercise is built into our routines. My dog has me wrapped around his paw and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
About: treat every pet like my own and tailor care to their unique needs. I have experience with puppies, senior pets, medication routines, and maintaining training and structure. I’m reliable, calm, and communicative, and I always send updates so pet parents feel confident and at ease. Pet care is a planned and consistent part of my routine. I schedule my days to prioritize feedings, walks, playtime, and companionship, and I’m flexible with evenings, overnights, and house sitting to maintain each pet’s normal routine. Care is never rushed. I care for pets the same way I’d want mine cared for with calm energy, patience, and consistency. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I follow their normal routine closely, pay attention to behavior and comfort cues, and make sure they feel safe and relaxed. I’m very present during overnights and house sitting, keep spaces clean, and give each pet the right balance of attention, play, and quiet companionship. I always treat both pets and homes with respect.

About: I can’t remember an age where I wasn’t helping birth and raise kittens and puppies, turtles, or rodents. From having blind, toothless senior chihuahuas and senile cats…to a litter of brand new pups or kittens struggling to catch their first breath I’ve been part of it. I’ve had several rodents and reptiles, and cared for my friends and family birds as well. Trained puppies and kittens to use the potty and more. Also helped with a few farm animals too. I work only 20-25hrs a week, so I’ll always be home within 6hours or less. Outside of work, I’m home hanging out with my kids and furbabies. I have two e.s.a. Certified cats who tend to hide away when someone new is here. I’ve had them both since babies (13y & 3y). Keep things clean, organized, healthy, I had a cleaning company too. I don’t have crates on hand or an outside fence but I have a huge yard, the neighbor has a spayed female American bulldog, very friendly. There are farm animals next door. However, I do appreciate being where the pet is comfortable and knows its space.

“Ross was great with our dog, Oso. He was very helpful and respectful of our needs and sent several cute pictures of their walk. He even brought in my Amazon packages before leaving the house. I will reach out to Ross again for Oso's next walk.”

“Sadie S was the best walker Gizmo has ever had. She was very reliable, patient, honest and kind. She was so good with my not so always people friendly Chiweenie. He loved his walks with her. I noted honest because when she contacted me, she explained that s she could only walk gizmo for two weeks because she was relocating and she understood you know if I wanted to go with somebody else and I appreciated that honesty. Very sorry to see her go.”

About: I have experience caring for many large and energetic dogs (pitbulls, labs, golden retrievers, etc) as well as smaller dogs (pomeranian, etc) and cats. My family dog is VERY interested in other dogs on walks so I have experience managing that as well as with using a shock collar if that is something an owner would like me to do. I have a very open schedule so I'm almost always able to accept same-day requests as well as recurring ones! I am a graduate student so most of my work is independent, which gives me a very flexible schedule! I am available most days of the week. My own dog is let out in my fenced-in backyard whenever she wants and always has water & food available - I will ensure this for the pets I care for. I also have patience for her high energy and can handle excitable dogs on walks well.

About: Growing up we had both dogs and cats in the house. As soon as I had an apartment that allowed dogs, I adopted my sweet and sassy pup snoopy. Over the years his mobility declined and I gained insight in how to care for an elderly pup including administering shots, and oral medication. Last year my fiancé and I adopted our sweet girl Betty. She tested us as a puppy, and provided an opportunity to learn about training a dog with a different personality from my first pup. I work as an RN Monday- Thursday and my fiancé works from home Monday- Friday. We live in a first floor apartment with a walk out patio. Our complex also has a dog park and plenty of space for long walks. We are a nonsmoking home with no children; just Betty and she is very friendly with other dogs. I recently relocated to the Cary area for work, but my new job does not start until mid October! Prior to the move, I was a full time student and working on Rover. My schedule is pretty open to care for your pets! I am familiar with different harnesses and the importance of leashing dogs when out and about. My apartment has several fenced dog areas and lots of outdoor walking space!
About: Having grown up on a farm, I have been around animals all my life. Currently, I live behind the university with my two cavaliers on a little less than an acre. My two are wonderful with other dogs and looking for some playmates.

“Walker has some unexpected challenges while staying with Hilary and we felt that she navigated them well and also communicated them clearly. You don’t know what you don’t know sometimes! Our dog got plenty of exercise and playtime while there even though he had to stay crated more than usual. We were very pleased with Hilary!”

“I left my Mini Aussie Doodle with Robert for a 4 day trip out of town. He was very nice and paid special attention to not let Lynus eat the other dogs food. I was nervous about him coming home with diarrhea like the last time I left him with someone, but Robert was really great. I will use him again if needed and I believe Lynus had a great time! He sent pictures everyday and I really appreciated that. Thank you Robert!”
