About: My home is your pet’s home 🫶🏻 Safe and trusted environment 💛 I have been caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments since I was 10 years old. Neighbors, friends, and family have always relied on me to check in, feed, and play with their pets. As a dedicated dog and cat owner myself, I understand that your pet is family. I am a very active person who loves long walks, so I can ensure your dog gets plenty of exercise. I’m also highly organized and comfortable following specific feeding or medication schedules to keep your pup's routine consistent. I currently work in healthcare administration during the week, which means my weekends are entirely dedicated to pet care! I am available for full-time boarding and house sitting from Friday evening through Sunday night. Because I am a student and work a consistent schedule, I am very reliable and punctual with my check-ins and walk times. Your pup will have my full attention during their stay! I live in a pet-friendly environment in San Mateo where your dog's safety is my top priority. I have a friendly dog of my own who loves making new friends, making my home a great 'social' spot for your pup. I am very comfortable with 'Meet & Greets' to ensure everyone gets along. I maintain a clean, safe space and am happy to accommodate crate training or any specific home boundaries you have in place.
“Heleen took excellent care of our dog for an extended 2 week stay and was thorough and provided detailed updates with many great photos She will leave your pet cared for and happy as she did with us. Thank you!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for friends and family for years, whether it’s for short weekend trips or extended time away. I understand how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pet, and I treat every animal like they’re my own—making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re gone. I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for your pet, ensuring they get the attention, love, and consistency they deserve. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or simply keeping them company, I’m able to be fully present and attentive to their needs throughout the day. I have a friendly 4-year-old Labradoodle who absolutely loves being around other dogs and makes a great companion. We also have a fenced backyard where your pet can safely play and get plenty of exercise. Depending on your needs, I’m happy to care for your pet in your home as well, ensuring they stay comfortable in their familiar environment.
About: About me: I recently graduated from a master's program in school counseling! I was raised in San Mateo and am very familiar with the area. I live with my husband and have no pets, but I frequently visit the family dogs I grew up with (and I spoil them like my own!). In my free time, I enjoy gardening, biking, watching reality TV, and quality time with loved ones! I’ve grown up with dogs in my family and have always been a natural dog lover; some might say I might spoil too much! I started dog-sitting one of my coworkers' dogs and realized how fun and relaxing it was for me! Since then, I've gained experience pet-sitting for extended periods, paying attention to dogs' routines and understanding the importance of a companion and a trusted presence while their favorite humans are away. I understand dogs are an extension of our families, and I will treat them as such :) I've been on Rover for a little under a year and have gotten experience in the following: Senior Dog Care (Up to 16 Years Old): Deeply familiar with the patience, gentle handling, and attentiveness required for senior pets. Medication Administration: Experienced and comfortable administering prescribed medications accurately and on time. Puppy Care & Training: Well-versed in the high-energy needs of puppies, including strict adherence to your established crate training routines, constant supervision, and maintaining behavioral structure. About my summer schedule: I am wokring a part time job M-F and will be avaialbe starting at 1pm. I will be fully available on weekends (except those already marked off in the app). **Safety:** Clear communication with the pet owner is essential for ensuring safety. Please inform me of any dietary or behavioral restrictions I should be aware of while sitting. For example, can the dog eat human food? Do they like being held? Are there any issues when taking them for a walk? I will carefully review the instructions you provide and ensure I have the emergency contact information for the nearest veterinary hospital in case of an emergency. **Trust:** I understand how much trust it takes to let someone into your home and care for your pet. As a fellow pet lover, I assure you that your pet will receive the company, attention, and supervision they need, as per your instructions. I am respectful, responsible, communicative, and passionate about dogs! Having had one of my own, you can be confident that I will treat your pet as my own. **Environment:** Please let me know if there are any areas in your home that are off-limits to me or your pet. Additionally, it would be appreciated if you could let me know about any security or pet cameras in the home so I can respect your privacy.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats in the home and provide dog sitting/walking services to friends and family as needed! Want to expand my care to others! I’m on summer break before starting grad school this fall! So I’ll be around to help as much as you’d like me to be! I will create a safe environment for your pup while I’m in their space and treat everything that I’m doing with care and respect.
“Yamzel was very accommodating of Perry. I booked for a walk but she left food and water adding a little extra time onto our booking, I’m very grateful! She actively communicated with photos and feedback, calming me of the Rover horror stories. Would strongly recommend her, and will be booking her again in the future!”

About: As someone who works from home, I’m able to offer flexible scheduling and give your fur friends plenty of attention throughout the day. I’ve been caring for dogs for over two decades and share my home with a 9-year-old dog, so I’m very familiar with both playful energy and the needs of senior dogs. I also have experience with puppy training and pay close attention to each dog’s personality and routine, so they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. During our meet-and-greet or trial walk, I take the time to learn both your preferences and your dog’s needs. Whether it’s park walks or neighborhood strolls, potty breaks or specific feeding routines, I’m comfortable accommodating them. Respecting your dog’s space and your home environment, I keep everything clean and leave your space as I found it. I work from home and have flexible weekday availability from 9am to 4pm. This allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, and daytime care with consistency and attention. I’m happy to work with your schedule when possible. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I follow each dog’s routine, use secure handling during walks and visits, and stay attentive to their needs. I treat your home with care and provide regular updates so you can feel confident your dog is in good hands.
“Rachel is very communicative and great to work with, our dog loved walking with her! She was very nice and booked a meet and greet before hand to learn where things were and and to learn how reactivities. We look forward to working with her again!”

About: Hi! I am new to Rover, but I am an experienced pet owner. I grew up with dogs, from puppies to adopted adult dogs, big and small. I currently have 2 cats. I've taken care of them when they are sick, giving them medications, have experience puppy potty training. The first time I had to leave my pets with a sitter at my house, I had a really hard time finding one I could trust 100%, not only with my pets but also with my home. I worried a great deal about leaving my pets and house key with someone new. I can assure you that you will have peace of mind while I take care of your precious pets. Not only will I follow your instructions, pay full attention, and give love to your companion, but I will also respect your home as well. I would love to meet your precious pets and take good care of them soon!! I work remotely, and my work schedule is very flexible. Thus, I can accommodate the clients' requests and different schedules as needed. I have my own car, and I can make drop-in visits. I would like to do a "meet and greet" before appointment days and learn about the pets and house rules, etc., as much as possible. I will make sure to pay attention to the detail, follow the instructions, and use good judgement to protect your pets and home.
About: I am new to the Foster City area coming from Texas. I have had many years of experience taking care of animals. I worked as a veterinary technician for 3 years in Austin, TX and prior to that I have worked with boarding facilities, daycares and groomers. I am skilled in the basics of grooming- bath, hair brushing/detangling, teeth brushing, nails, ear cleaning. I love to go for walks and be outside. I have 3 dogs myself so I am accustomed to walking multiple times a day. I'm also very skilled at cuddling on the couch, for those pets who are less active and looking for a drop in visit. I'm very comfortable around any animals, big or small. I have a lot of experience with senior pets - giving meds, lifting/helping them move around, cleaning up after messes. My main goal is to ensure that your pet is as happy and comfortable as they can be while you are away! I am currently taking a break from the vet care field but I am still looking to enrich my free time and help other's pets live their best lives! My pets are my first priority in the household. I spoil them in anyway that I can with food, treats, adventures and unconditional love. My pets are treated as family and I will always treat your pet with the same level of care and love.
About: I started by taking care of my moms 4 dogs when she would go on vacations and needed a dog sitter. That really taught me how to feed them efficiently and when to take them outside to go potty. From there I learned how to hang out with them and play with them efficiently. I am a college student with classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday I am available for the entire day and night. On Wednesday and Friday I'm available at night, Monday I'm not because I have a night class. Staying over night is not a problem, along with check ins during the days even on school days. I love dogs and am really good at feeding them, taking them outside, and playing with them. I'm not a trainer, but someone who is good at taking care of them while you are away. My mom has 4 small dogs so I'm very familiar with smaller dogs, but I have also watched bigger dogs as well.
Marina Lagoon dog parents share their Rover experiences
Ray was great with Jimi! Jimi is leash reactive and not friendly with other dogs, plus he is very strong, so I’m always worried when someone else walks him. But I felt extremely confident with Ray walking him. He also spent extra time with Jimi and they played in the backyard after each walk. Additionally, I appreciated how communicative Ray was with me and all the pictures that he sent while I was away. I can’t recommend Ray enough!

Itchel was an amazing dog walker! Very kind, approachable, and easy to communicate with. Our dog, Cooper, can be quite picky and slow to warm up to new people, but she quickly found a way to connect with him, and he truly enjoyed getting to know her. She was responsible, always on time, and provided great communication throughout. We also loved receiving the photos and updates from their walks. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog walker!

Emma has been wonderful taking Koda on walks! She is very diligent about Koda’s condition and even applied cold compress when Koda’s limping without me asking her to. Emma is kind, caring and punctual! Will definitely recommend Emma to anyone to care for their furry friends!

Rebecca has been absolutely amazing with my dog Minnie!! You can instantly tell how much she genuinely loves dogs and cares about them. She’s super sweet, reliable, and always kept me updated, which gave me so much peace of mind. My dog was so happy and well cared for every time. I’m so glad I found someone like her and will definitely be using her again. Highly recommend!
