About: Hi there! I'm Lizbeth, and I'm based in San Mateo 👋. I've grown up with cats and dogs in the house since early childhood, and I currently have two sensitive fur-babies of my own (a 12 year old tabby cat named Atlas, and a 5 year old Jindo dog named Gamja). Caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I’m attentive, patient, and highly intuitive when it comes to understanding what they need to feel comfortable. I also have a PhD in social psychology, which has given me a deep appreciation for behavior, communication, and building trust. While every pet has a unique personality, I take the time to get to know each one so they feel safe, respected, and well cared for. As a bonus, I'm a professional portrait photographer, so you can expect great photo updates during visits! I am also a regular Rover user for my own pets, so you can trust that I understand the care, professionalism, and expertise that should go into every sit. I currently work freelance, so my schedule is highly flexible during the week based on your needs. I look forward to meeting you and your furbaby! I’m attentive to details, from following feeding and medication instructions to noticing changes in behavior or mood. About: I’m a loving cat mom of 5+ years with a lifetime of experience caring for cats of all ages. I’m competent in simple dog training and am open to dog-sitting/walking, but cats are by far my specialty. I have proven experience building trust and bonding quickly with new cats, even those with behavioral issues or shy demeanors. I’m a teacher looking for extra summer work, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your furry friends June-August! I can make up to 5 visits on weekends and 3 visits on select weekdays. I will be nannying part time and will be available before 2pm and after 6pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Please message me with any questions! “Ray was great with Jimi! Jimi is leash reactive and not friendly with other dogs, plus he is very strong, so I’m always worried when someone else walks him. But I felt extremely confident with Ray walking him. He also spent extra time with Jimi and they played in the backyard after each walk. About: I grew up with labs and lab mixes. I have trained dogs previously. I spent several years volunteering with Guide Dogs for the Blind. Animals have always been very comfortable with me. I am currently looking for work, so I have a flexible schedule. I am able to be available as needed. I understand people's lives are busy, so I try to be flexible for the dog/cat's needs. About: I have taken care of and been around many dogs since childhood. Growing up, my first dog was a Jack Russell Terrier. We got him in 2009 and he lived a happy active life until 2021. In 2022, I adopted an Australian Cattle/Great Dane mix. I also have experience caring for and looking after Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Maltese, Pitbulls, and Dachshunds. About: Taking care of dogs started for me with my wonderful and energetic Airedale in my teens and twenties, and continues as a dedicated uncle to my sister’s 4 dogs (yes 4!). I am the guy my friends consistently ask to pet sit when they leave town. I also take pride in leaving your house as nice as when arrived. For long stays or short, I’m happy to help. I am currently working part time nearby and I am not planning holiday travel, so I’ll have plenty of time for quality visits with your dogs! Your pets and your home environment are important to you.
