About: I've had dogs in my family since I was a baby; I grew up around them and my love for them grew. I care deeply for my own dogs, and I'm always excited to meet a new four legged friend. I regularly petsit for my family, a multitude of dogs, cats, and aquatic creatures. My schedule is currently very flexible; I make time for a walk and training my own dog every day and I sometimes bring him with me when running errands. I love snuggling and hanging out with all kinds of pets, letting them get comfortable with me in their space and touching them at their own pace.
“You are amazing! Thank you for showing such patience to get him to warm up to you and get outside. We appreciate the patience and care you've shown our pup. Thank you so much!”

“Azure is absolutely amazing. Our kitties love her, and we feel safe with her caring for them while we are gone. Her updates, pictures, and all recommendations are excellent. We plan to hire her always in the future.”

“I really appreciated Ryan taking the time to meet our dogs before our first drop in visit. We came home to 2 very happy and settled dogs who didn’t seem to notice that we had been gone for 11 hours. Would definitely use them again when we have to be gone for extended periods of time. Now Ryan knows the dogs love of playing fetch, they might up the ante next time! Thank you again.”

“Sophia was very attentive to the needs of my anxious and senior pups. She is great with communication, in time visits and sharing updates with photos. I highly recommend Sophia. Your pets will be in great hands!”

“Katarina was amazing with our sweet senior boy. She came to the house for outdoor time while we were away on vacation and was so gentle with him. I wish we were local, but anytime we’re in the area, she is absolutely who I will call. I’d trust her with Winston anytime. Highly recommend!”

“We had a meet & greet prior to our scheduled drop in visit. Banner & Belle greeted Judith with love & affection; we immediately knew this was a match. On each visit, Judith provided an overview of how the dogs were doing along with pictures. We will definitely schedule future appointments with Judith. Thank you Judith.”

“Morgan is always very communicative and really cares about Champ’s wellbeing! She already knows his mannerisms and can tell when he needs extra attention even after only seeing him a few times so far!”

About: Hi, I’m Alexys! I’m a registered nurse with a deep love for animals and a strong commitment to providing attentive, compassionate care. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets. I currently have three dogs—Envy, our Great Dane; Jasper, a red heeler/Great Pyrenees mix; and Hank, a chihuahua mix—so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. My experience with a variety of breeds allows me to adapt to each dog’s unique needs. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, or simply companionship, I’m happy to provide a safe, loving environment. I treat every pet as if they were my own, with patience, attention, and care. If you’re looking for a reliable and caring sitter—or even a friendly playmate for your dog—I would love to help! My schedule is relatively open, I am flexible to find a way to help you and your pet! I am frequently walking my pets and happy to have your pet tag along with our pack! If your dog fits in well with our dogs I am happy to have them over for a play date during the day, we do not have a fenced yard.
“Responsive and accommodating to scheduling time slots for drop ins and itinerary of what to do while visiting. Jack seemed very relaxed and happy when we returned having gotten lots of great care and attention while we were gone.”

“Braelyn was absolutely fantastic! Not only did she take care of my two cats in the way that I asked, but she went above and beyond to get to know each cat and what they like. Each visit, she catered to their likes and dislikes to make sure they were happy and got some meaningful enrichment and interaction. I highly recommend Braelyn and will be using her services for my future pet sitting needs!”

About: I grew up on a farm with horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and multiple other animals. I love being around and caring for animals. I am comfortable caring for dogs and cats of all ages and temperaments. I also have experience with animals with injuries and illnesses. I currently have a full time job. Weekday mornings I am available before 9:30 and evenings after 6:00. On the weekends I am fully available. I am happy to care for your pet in your home and follow any routines they are comfortable with. I have experience with kennels, bolters, and animals who need a little extra care. Safety and happiness are always the priority!
“Yvonne was great! She sent a ton of pictures and let me know how each kitty was doing everyday we were gone! Definitely recommend her and will be using her again for future trips.”

About: I’ve taken care of all sorts of pets for neighbors, friends, coworkers and everyone in between for about 6 years now. From rats, dogs, cats, reptiles, I’ve done it all to make sure everyone’s favorite animals are safe and happy. Though I work full-time, I’m work from home. There will be days I have to travel out of town, but for the most part I’ll be home. Anytime after 1-2pm I’m completely free for pet care. At home, I have a very sweet dog that roams around the house and two curious cats that generally keep to themselves unless they’re hungry. There’s a baby gate up that just keeps the older cat away from eating the younger one’s food.
“Tami is the best. Sherlock loves her visits and getting so much attention! She’s very reliable and skilled at taking care of my older dog and somewhat persnickety cat.”

About: I'm in college, studying to be a Veterinary Technician. I've had many types of animals and I've been caring for animals as a way to make money for several years- predominantly dogs. I am free on weekends. I'm usually free on Wednesday and Monday. I'm available at 1pm on Tuesdays, and I'm available on Fridays and Thursdays after 4pm. My cat is indoors, and I make a great deal of effort to keep her that way (she tries to escape a lot). I make sure to keep her happy and entertained, just as I do with my client's pets. When I am in a client's home I ensure adequate care and their animal's safety.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lynden. On Rover:

- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
