“Jennifer and Al are lovely. They respond very quickly and sent me lots of updates and photos. Really appreciate how accommodating of Dory's special diet and reactivity they are. Dory seemed to have a good time chasing their son's RC car!”

“First we have used rover and it was awesome. Jennifer was super quick with her response/booking and dropping off ren was smooth and easy. Our kids loved the videos she sent each night of our dog playing and enjoying her time there. Would absolutely book with Jennifer again!”

“Minerva was absolutely amazing with our dog, Pablo! From the moment we met her, it was clear how caring, kind, and compassionate she is. She treated Pablo like he was her own, making sure he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for while we were away. Knowing Pablo was in such loving and capable hands gave us complete peace of mind. Minerva went above and beyond, and we couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter. We are incredibly grateful for the care and attention she gave Pablo. Thank you so much, Minerva!”

About: New to Rover, not new to animals. Lower rates limited time only. Dogs have been part of my life since I was 7 years old, when I got my first dachshund. Since then, I’ve had 3 dogs + 1 cat + 2 parrots, all of whom lived into old age ❤️ So I have lots of hands-on experience with animals at every stage of life, including seniors who need a little extra patience and TLC. ✓ Puke doesn't scare me ✓ Poop doesn't gross me out ✓ Diaper change doesn't stress me out ✓ Puppies with sharp teeth + hyper energy excites me ✓ Older dogs who want more calmness, I understand ✓ Deaf dogs → I also have experience ✓ BONUS my home has 0 stairs and big green backyard While dachshunds have my heart, I’m also very comfortable with larger dogs, different breeds and energy levels. I work from home full-time, so your pup will get plenty of attention, walks, backyard playtime and cuddles throughout the day. I’m also comfortable with feeding routines, basic grooming and administering medications. Most importantly, I’ll treat your dog like family and send you plenty of photo updates along the way! 🐶❤️ ps. if you've made it to here I'm very Type-A over-communicative so I do have a mini onboarding google form + checklist for a smooth process. I work from home full-time in digital marketing, so I’m home and available throughout the day! Your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches and I have lots of flexibility for playtime, cuddles, feeding, walks, bathroom breaks and whatever their normal routine requires. Pet interruptions during my workday are always welcome ❤️ My schedule is very flexible, including weekdays and weekends, so I can adapt to your pet’s existing routine rather than making them adapt to mine. I want your pet to feel like they’re having their own little vacation while you’re away! Since I work from home, I’m around throughout the day to supervise, play and make sure they’re comfortable and safe. My home has plenty of space as well as a private, fenced outdoor backyard where dogs can safely get outside, play and enjoy some fresh air. We’re also only about 7 minutes from a dog park, so if your dog enjoys socializing and you’re comfortable with it, we have that option too. I’m very clean, organized and attentive, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal feeding, walking, medication, sleeping and care routines as closely as possible. I also love sending frequent photo and video updates so you can actually relax knowing your fur baby is happy and well cared for. 🐾❤️
“Daniel was absolutely phenomenal with my special needs pup and our crazy travel plans. Not only did he go above and beyond by accommodating our flight times, but he also dropped off our pup when we didn’t feel comfortable driving in the snow and ice. Arlo came home happy and exhausted - we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Thanks Daniel!”

“Lenore was amazing! Very responsive and easy to communicate with. Her dog Rook is friendly and very well mannered. She has a fenced yard and is conveniently located. Kept me up to date throughout Fozzi’s stay and I got tons of pictures/videos!!!”

“Walter and Angela were the perfect sitters for my dog Wanda. Before my vacation, I was so anxious because it was my first time leaving Wanda with someone new; however, as soon as I met them, I felt so much more at ease because of their warmth and great dog management skills. Wanda liked them right away too, which is not always the case for when she meets new people. Wanda was given lots of love and attention, long walks along the river by their home, and playtime, and when I came back 5 days later to pick her up, she was in no hurry to leave! Wanda was glued to Walter and gave him lots of kisses - he played ball and tug of war with her in the yard too. I also received lovely text messages and photos to let me know how she was doing. They also have a lovely home with a nice fenced in yard so its a perfect place for dogs. I'm so grateful that I met them and would like to use them again for future dog care services.”

“Wonderful host ! A+ We were sent videos and photos daily with an update on her activities. Host did a meet and greet prior to boarding and was very welcoming to tour his place. I can see why he has so many 5 star reviews. Will book again.”

“Li was very easy to communicate with and sent me nice updates and photos throughout Baxter’s stay. Baxter seemed to settle in quite nicely and I felt like he was well taken care of. I would book with Li again.”

“Bailey had a great time with her new friends. She was kept active and comforted when she was fussy ( new place syndrome 😁) She has a new buddy in Ollie and I couldn't be happier for her care! We'll be back!”

“Harshita took wonderful care of my puppy! He can be a lot as hes very playful and jumpy. He was happy and comfortable when we picked him up! Thank you so much for taking such good care of Charlie!”

“We had a very good experience with Christina, Super reliable, easy to communicate with, and clearly cared a lot about Baldomero.Would definitely trust them again—highly recommend!”

“My experience with Rachael was top notch. She went above and beyond for my dog, Hudson, with updates and photos for me, and a fun, safe and loving experience for him. The icing on the cake is that she is so lovely and accommodating! I wouldn’t hesitate to book Rachael again and to recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter who you can trust and count on!”

“Leslie was wonderful with my 4 year old lab mix, Scarlett. My dog can be a little shy at first, but a couple of day care visits before my fishing trip seemed to help her become comfortable quickly. Scarlett seemed to have a great time. Playing and dogging with her new friends. She also formed quite the bond with Leslie! She was ecstatic to see her when we ran into each other at the dog parl! Leslie sent daily pictures. I couldn't be more pleased with Leslie's care for Scarlett.”

“When we first met Louis we got an excellent first impression. He is very friendly, courteous and warm. Right away we knew he will take good care our furbaby and really put our mind at ease while we are away. He sent us numerous photos Tyler having fun, which was really nice. We are looking forward to booking Louis again in the future! Thanks for doing an awesome job👌🏼👍🏼”

“Kendra was so awesome! She was able to be flexible when I had a last minute change to my travel plans and took excellent care of my dog. He got to go to yoga and a hike around the bay! I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for dog sitting.”

“Samantha is not only an absolute delight, but provides an amazing boarding service. I couldn't imagine anyone better to watch my dog. She has a large fenced property so the dogs can run around. My dog had the best time. She loved it. Samantha sent me pictures, videos and responded to my messages to put my mind at ease. I would highly recommend Samantha's services to anyone. I look forward to using her services again in the future.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better first experience! Leaving Ozzy with someone new for the first time was a big step, but Jan immediately put us at ease by meeting with us beforehand. She has a secure fenced yard, kept us updated with photos and videos, and her communication was excellent throughout. It was clear Ozzy was happy, well cared for, and in great hands. We had complete peace of mind and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jan. We’ll definitely book with her again!”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
