“Jennifer took great care of our family member Blue. (As with some human family members, our canine family member can be a handful.). Jennifer worked with our requests and Blue’s nuances/personality. Couldn’t be more pleased that we found Jennifer and were fortunate to have Blue hang out in a great environment, with customized attention. Five stars.”

“We’re so grateful to have found Lauren. She’s watched our dogs, Miso and Taro, twice now and has been incredible each time. From the start, it was clear she really takes the time to engage with them. She took them to the beach on day one, then out on a trail walk the next day. Every day, she sent us photo updates, which helped us relax knowing they were in great hands. Our dogs absolutely love her. Lauren has been not only reliable but also incredibly thoughtful. She even offered to drop the dogs off at home before we returned, which was such a kind touch. We trusted her immediately and feel lucky to have someone so caring and attentive looking after our pets. We’re looking forward to working with her again soon.”

“My boyfriend and I are new puppy parents and we weren't exactly sure on how daycare works... when I saw that Ciara has a farm, we knew it would be a perfect familiar to our fur baby girl so we contacted Ciara. She was so easy going and knowledgeable, and to our surprise, her partner and my boyfriend knew each other from all the way back when! It was a very reassuring and coincidental experience and that also helped ease our worry with our big baby girl. They were always updating us and keeping her safe 🥹 will definitely go back again!!”

About: I have lots of well rounded animal experiences. I’ve worked in barns as a groom/exerciser/stable hand, I worked in a daycare boarding facility for cats and dogs for a short while, have helped look after many friends and family’s farm animals and house pets in the past and have my own animals as well. I’m super knowledgeable and would love to be considered for all your pet needs! I have availability any day of the week and can always work my schedule around you! I’ve always loved animals and as a stay at home mom , I’m looking to make money where it fits I have a duplex like living situation . It’s a one bedroom home with a fenced back yard . The other person on the property owns two dogs as well but the yard is fenced off separately so there’s no contact . I have a 4 yr old German Shepard who’s a saint and has love for every creature:) he’s gentle and good with senior dogs, small dogs, large dogs , cats and anything in between. Respectful of boundaries but it’s also possible to have him go to grandmas house so if your dog doesn’t get along with others, that’s okay too!
“Sarah took wonderful care of our dog during a 15-day boarding stay. We got regular updates and photos, and it was clear our dog felt comfortable, safe, and happy the entire time. Sarah is reliable, attentive, and treated our pet like family. We came home to a relaxed and well-cared-for dog. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!”

“Bella (my puppy) had the best experience staying with Heather. She had been walked several times a day, had been taken to dog park to run around and play/socialize. Had best time playing with Sogeum (Heather’s dog) Everyday I was getting several updates on how Bella is doing with pictures and videos. Would highly recommend Heather as dog sitter and look forward to have Bella staying again.”

“Starbuck came home very chill lol so I know he was taken good care of. She sent me updated photos of him and told me what he was up to. It made my vacation very relaxing knowing he was in good hands and not crying I felt 100% at ease with using Luanne from rover would definitely use her again.”

“Bernard stayed with Angela and Walter for 3 days. It was our first time using Rover for care of our elder dog. They were open to a quick meet and greet too. Their space (indoor and outdoor) is perfect! I was so nervous because Bernard is getting older and has some back end tenderness, loss of balance, and has a specific raw diet. Walter and Angela were super responsive in communication. They followed his raw diet plan and B's walking and bathroom times. Forested walking trails are nearby and it is helpful for him to use his nose. They adhered to his feedings, sent pics and had this wonderful enthusiasm for Bernard. This was a good sign because at one point in his life Bernard was so shy and reactive with strangers. The 2nd time we asked Walter and Angela was just for a single day/night while fire alarm testing happened in our apt complex. It was a last minute thing. They were available and excited to see him. When we came over, Bernard immediately ran to them both, sidled up to them, and went into the house. It was so cool. So endearing. I knew he was in the right hands.”

About: Hi, I’m Robin! Lover of all animals and will treat your dog like a member of our family! I had cats and fish growing up and then moved on to dogs! I have 10 years of hands‑on experience raising my Boston Terrier from birth and caring for her through every stage of life, including her final battle with cancer. She taught me to be patient, playful, attentive, and deeply affectionate with every dog I meet. I’ve had the pleasure of taking care of my friends and family’s dogs, and know how hard it can be to be away from your little fur babies but also at the same time be able to enjoy some alone time. As a homemaker, I’m home all day, and ready to step in and be a welcoming, affectionate and safe provider when you’re away! Your dog will get ample time to play, walk or hike ( depending on your dogs abilities) relax, snooze, and of course, eat! We have a fenced in back yard, where they’ll be able to do their “business” whenever they need and a few parks within walking distance for some leisure time. I also have experience administering oral and eye medication. Being a homemaker, mom to a 19 yr old, and having no more of our own pets, your dog will be getting plenty of time, love & attention, and supervision throughout the day. My husband works from home and loves spending time with dogs too, so your pup will always have company. I live in a townhouse where your dog will never be far from my sight, not that many places to go lol. I live in a quiet neighborhood, where our backyard is fenced and not easily accessible to public. We have carpeted stairs making it easier to get up and down and a large carpet in the living room for them to roll around and scratch their backs!
“Lenore was amazing! Very responsive and easy to communicate with. Her dog Rook is friendly and very well mannered. She has a fenced yard and is conveniently located. Kept me up to date throughout Fozzi’s stay and I got tons of pictures/videos!!!”

About: I have volunteered at animal shelters since I was little and trained all of the dogs I have owned as well as helped a lot of my friends train their first puppies. I do it all from head to toe and I truly love it as it brings me joy! I am currently working parti me and mostly studying from home so I have loads of time for the fur babies and super flexible ! I have a fenced yard and crates if need be. Baby gates as well! In your home I will follow your specific rules as instructed.
“My honey and I have been using Ms. Dollys services to watch our two naughty 75 pound plus babies for a few months now. I think we have boarded our dogs a total 4 times with her. She’s always super accommodating and willing for emergency stay overs if your 4 hour drive from Oregon turns into 8 hours (life saver). Ms. Dolly handles my helicopter dog mom ways and assures me “ I got this” ( she really does) Our babies LOVE Ms. Dolly and even know her by name. They get some serious zooms when we leash up by the door and mention dolly town. Upon first arriving a few months ago I was so happy to see she has a full on kennel set up, rubber washable mats, large and heated areas to run and play on icky days. Toys, leashes you name it. We even forgot our food one time, no worries dolly had a back up that matched the very specific sweet potato and salmon diet we had going. It’s like having a family member watch your dogs but the family member is also super professional and also operates a full puppy bizniz. Upon arrival you will be asked to fill out a secondary form, shots, vet, food routine, emergency contact ect. Ms. dolly is seriously a pro. Drop off is always super emotional for us but Ms. Dolly always sends pics and videos. It seems like she hangs out with our dogs all day by how much play time they actually get. They even did a bonfire and hung out with our pups the way we would do in our backyard. Your dogs are family and it shows. Ms. Dolly has a full backyard where your dogs can run and play and party all night if they wanted. This is a serious plus for our very energetic pitbull and spaz German Sheppard. I would never choose another boarder. Thank you Ms. Dolly, we love you! - Brandon, Katy, Ghost and Ranger.”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs. I have two dogs back home and one dog here in Canada. I walk and run with them three times a day. I also feed them and play with them using toys. I took a lot of lessons after having my dogs, including their behaviors, the best ways to take care of them and the symptoms of them being sick. I love animals so much that my mom said I couldn’t sleep without my dog staying under my bed. I have tons of treats and toys at home. I hope to have the chance to help you look after your dogs and make both of you happy :) Looking forward to meet your babies! Walk 2-3 times at least a day, can adjust schedule based on requests. My partner has his own photo studio in Richmond that he can bring dogs to the space and engage with them during the day if you are up for it. Fenced yard, crate available, can feed raw, freeze dried, or kibble/can. Our own dog is eating raw and I have extensive knowledge about this diet!
“This is my third time leaving Milo with Andrea and Sergio, and they always take amazing care of him. He’s on medication that needs to be given every 12 hours, and they handle it perfectly. Milo is always happy with them. Thank you both so much!”

“We would like to say a huge thank you to Hyoungjin and Soyoung. You took such wonderful care of our dog. If Korok could speak, I’m sure he would be thanking you right along with us! We were away for several days, and Hyoungjin and Soyoung kindly agreed to host our dog. When we dropped him off, we brought a bag with treats, food, and some specific feeding instructions. They listened very carefully to everything we explained and took all of it into account. I’m confident that all of our recommendations were followed. Every day we received fresh photos and videos of our dog. It was so nice to see how he was doing, making new friends and happily interacting with everyone in the house. It was both funny and comforting for us, because we always knew what was happening with him. I can confidently recommend Hyoungjin and Soyoung as dog sitters. We truly appreciated their love for animals, their attentiveness, politeness, and the gentle way they interact with dogs. With them, your dog will not feel like just a guest — they will be treated like a beloved child: entertained, cared for, well-fed, and loved. In short, your dog will be very happy in their home. 🐶”

“Sunny was fantastic. She took good care of my two dogs. She was sending me update everyday and I could tell how happy and they were all having a great time. After 10days gone, my dogs were happy and didn’t seem like they miss me. Ha ha”

“Randona was amazing with our dog. He had the best time with her and came back happy and satisfied. Lots of great updates and pics were supplied during our dog’s stay and you can tell that Randona really cares about the dogs she watches. 10/10 would rebook.”

“Gloria and Steven were sensational caregivers for my dog, Picolé. They were always sending me messages and always available to answer me. Furthermore, they followed all my instructions perfectly. And in every photo and video they sent me, I saw my dog happy and well-adjusted to his new temporary home. And as if all that weren't enough, they took and gave me professional photographs of Picolé, which turned out beautifully (I've never been able to take photos of him as beautiful as the ones I received). These moments will forever be kept in my heart. It is with great pride and complete satisfaction that I highly recommend the service they both provided to Picolé and me. I will definitely know where to leave my dog on my next trip. Gloria and Steven provided him with a home full of love, good care, and lots of affection and attention. Thank you so much for making it a wonderful experience!”

Arya had a great time with Jaeda over the long weekend when we were out of town. Jaeda and her friend took Arya along with their lovely black lab, Boomer, to their trailer at Cultus Lake holiday park. She kept sending us regular updates about Arya and shared photos and videos of her and Boomer having fun in the park. Thanks for the love and care Jaeda! We won’t hesitate leaving Arya under your care again in the future.

I could tell the moment I met Rachel that she was the perfect fit for our dear dog. We haven't boarded before and, in past, just been lucky having friends care for our pets in past. Rachel was very reassuring. I loved the text messages she sent and we are already talking about booking for about 10 days in June once Rachel has an opportunity to sort out family commitments and family vacations. We really are grateful. (In terms of a tip, we took care of that the day we picked up our dog. No question, Rachel deserved it!)

Aparna took excellent care of my dog. Honey went on a long off leash walk everyday and was given lots of time with enrichment toys. Honey loved hanging out with Aparna’s dog. I received many pictures and videos from Aparna. This was my first experience with Rover and it was a very positive experience. I definitely recommend Aparna as a pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
