“Jing and her family were absolutely amazing with our dog Nala. Nala was anxious to start but Jing was so patient and understanding through the initial transition period despite some accidents. She treated her so well I was almost worried Nala wouldn't want to come home! I would 100% recommend Jing to anyone looking for dog sitting or dog boarding and will definitely want to book with her again for our next vacation!”

“Luanne was awesome!! She sent pictures and updates, and made our sweet Milo feel very comfortable and safe during his stay. I felt confident in my decision and was pleased that Milo was in such great hands. Thank you again for taking such great care of my little Milo, and I know he can’t wait to be back again:)”

“Mandy and her family gave meaningful feedback which allowed us to troubleshoot helping my dog adjust. They genuinely cared for our young dog beyond the basics. The long walks, lots of cuddles, calm reassurance, and two way communication were invaluable to us. Because of Mandy and her family, we were able to rest knowing our dog was in a caring home.”

“This is our first time dropping our dog off to stay somewhere overnight. Dolly put all our nervousness to rest. She is very knowledgeable about dogs. It was evident from the videos and pictures she sent that our dog was having a great time! She got lots of exercise and play time, and we would gladly trust Dolly with her again. Our dog was not sure she wanted to leave when we came to pick her up!”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs. I have two dogs back home and one dog here in Canada. I walk and run with them three times a day. I also feed them and play with them using toys. I took a lot of lessons after having my dogs, including their behaviors, the best ways to take care of them and the symptoms of them being sick. I love animals so much that my mom said I couldn’t sleep without my dog staying under my bed. I have tons of treats and toys at home. I hope to have the chance to help you look after your dogs and make both of you happy :) Looking forward to meet your babies! Walk 2-3 times at least a day, can adjust schedule based on requests. My partner has his own photo studio in Richmond that he can bring dogs to the space and engage with them during the day if you are up for it. Fenced yard, crate available, can feed raw, freeze dried, or kibble/can. Our own dog is eating raw and I have extensive knowledge about this diet!
About: Hi, I’m Robin! Lover of all animals and will treat your dog like a member of our family! I had cats and fish growing up and then moved on to dogs! I have 10 years of hands‑on experience raising my Boston Terrier from birth and caring for her through every stage of life, including her final battle with cancer. She taught me to be patient, playful, attentive, and deeply affectionate with every dog I meet. I’ve had the pleasure of taking care of my friends and family’s dogs, and know how hard it can be to be away from your little fur babies but also at the same time be able to enjoy some alone time. As a homemaker, I’m home all day, and ready to step in and be a welcoming, affectionate and safe provider when you’re away! Your dog will get ample time to play, walk or hike ( depending on your dogs abilities) relax, snooze, and of course, eat! We have a fenced in back yard, where they’ll be able to do their “business” whenever they need and a few parks within walking distance for some leisure time. I also have experience administering oral and eye medication. Being a homemaker, mom to a 19 yr old, and having no more of our own pets, your dog will be getting plenty of time, love & attention, and supervision throughout the day. My husband works from home and loves spending time with dogs too, so your pup will always have company. I live in a townhouse where your dog will never be far from my sight, not that many places to go lol. I live in a quiet neighborhood, where our backyard is fenced and not easily accessible to public. We have carpeted stairs making it easier to get up and down and a large carpet in the living room for them to roll around and scratch their backs!
“Lenore took great care of my dog. Scout and her dog, Rook, seemed to get along and it was great to know that she was staying in a “dog friendly house.” It can be hard to leave your dog behind with a stranger, but I felt confident that she would be well cared for.”

“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Tammy! She watched our pup for 4 days and took such good care of him! She sent us pics so we could see he was having fun. I know he enjoyed his stay because he went back to her for one last pet before he left. I am grateful we found Tammy and will definitely rebook with her in the future!”

“It's been quite a while since we left our little boy with anyone other than family. We were a bit nervous initially how he would do with a bew peraon. We were very pleased with the care shown by Lisa during his stay. She was very atte tive to his needs and sent us lots of updates and pictures about how he was doing which helped ease our minds. We definitely recommend using Lisa if you need a Rover for your pooch.”

“We had such a great experience leaving our dog with them in their home. She was clearly so comfortable and well loved, and we got updates that made us feel totally at ease while we were away. Millie came home happy, relaxed, and very well cared for. We’re so grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to have her stay with them again—highly recommend!”

“Connie took such good care of our boy. She was very in tune with his needs and behaviours which gave us confidence that he would be well cared for. She sent lots of photos and detailed updates about their days and he was happy and relaxed when we picked him up. We’d recommend Connie to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“I left my yellow lab Millie with Sophia for 3 nights, and Millie had a wonderful time! Sophia sent pics and updates. I could tell Millie was safe, happy, and well taken care of. I’m sure Millie will be excited to go back!”

“Micheal took especially great care of my dog Scout who requires a bit of extra attention and understanding. He took the time to get her comfortable, responded promptly to any messages, provided pictures and updates. Would recommend to anyone looking for boarding!”

“Really impressed with the care you gave our dogs and the updates you offered. They were so happy being there. Thank you for such an awesome stay! I intend to book again!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10 and I understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to make them feel at home. Whether your pup loves playtime, cuddles, walks, or quiet time, I’ll make sure they receive patient, attentive, and loving care. I am currently a full-time college student doing online courses, so I’ll be available to care for your pup any day of the week except Wednesdays. I am free any time of the day including weekends. Your fur baby is welcome to roam freely around the house, and I can set up pee pads or crates if needed. I also have a small fenced yard for quick potty breaks, plus an off-leash dog park just two blocks away for fun adventures and exercise!
“Walter and Angela were great with my 4 year old dog. When I picked my dog up she was happy and tired out. I boarded my girl with them for 2 nights. Walter went out of his way to take my pup on adventures around the neighborhood, and to play her favorite game (chase and fetch). Walter sent a lovely video of my dog enjoying the safety of their super nice enclosed backyard while they played chase. He was also very responsive to my texts. My pup got so much love and attention while she stayed there. I will book with Walter again.”

“Gloria and Steven were sensational caregivers for my dog, Picolé. They were always sending me messages and always available to answer me. Furthermore, they followed all my instructions perfectly. And in every photo and video they sent me, I saw my dog happy and well-adjusted to his new temporary home. And as if all that weren't enough, they took and gave me professional photographs of Picolé, which turned out beautifully (I've never been able to take photos of him as beautiful as the ones I received). These moments will forever be kept in my heart. It is with great pride and complete satisfaction that I highly recommend the service they both provided to Picolé and me. I will definitely know where to leave my dog on my next trip. Gloria and Steven provided him with a home full of love, good care, and lots of affection and attention. Thank you so much for making it a wonderful experience!”

“Can’t recommend Sunny enough! She sent daily updates and photos, was very accommodating with a late-night pickup due to my flight, and clearly made my dog feel comfortable and well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“Jennifer is fantastic! The boys were well cared for, had a wonderful place to stay, and got to romp and enjoy themselves while they were there. I’ll absolutely be reaching out to Jennifer again in the future.”

Arya had a great time with Jaeda over the long weekend when we were out of town. Jaeda and her friend took Arya along with their lovely black lab, Boomer, to their trailer at Cultus Lake holiday park. She kept sending us regular updates about Arya and shared photos and videos of her and Boomer having fun in the park. Thanks for the love and care Jaeda! We won’t hesitate leaving Arya under your care again in the future.

I could tell the moment I met Rachel that she was the perfect fit for our dear dog. We haven't boarded before and, in past, just been lucky having friends care for our pets in past. Rachel was very reassuring. I loved the text messages she sent and we are already talking about booking for about 10 days in June once Rachel has an opportunity to sort out family commitments and family vacations. We really are grateful. (In terms of a tip, we took care of that the day we picked up our dog. No question, Rachel deserved it!)

Aparna took excellent care of my dog. Honey went on a long off leash walk everyday and was given lots of time with enrichment toys. Honey loved hanging out with Aparna’s dog. I received many pictures and videos from Aparna. This was my first experience with Rover and it was a very positive experience. I definitely recommend Aparna as a pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
