“My senior dog is unaccustomed to being alone and I’m seldom without him because I work from home. When I needed to be downtown for an all-day conference, I was fortunate to find Jan on Rover.com. Jan instills confidence and assurance in the warm and professional way she communicates and conducts bookings. She was flexible about the drop-off time and very accommodating with Toby’s schedule. Full disclosure: I’m one of those annoying fretting pet parents who constantly worries about their dog so it is a big deal for me to leave him with someone else. By time our booking came around I had no qualms about leaving Toby with Jan. I wasn’t wrong because Toby thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with Jan (and Earl). Jan is experienced, intuitive and understands dogs (and people). She took excellent care of my boy. To reassure me, she checked-in throughout the day which was much appreciated. A bonus: Jan was a professional photographer before she retired so I received lovely candid shots of Toby for my image collection. I have no hesitation to recommend Jan and would definitely book with her again (both short and long term stay) as I’m sure Toby would be glad to visit Jan and Earl again.”

It was my first time using the app and she made me feel completely comfortable leaving my dog with her by sending pictures and updates within the first half hour showing how well Dolly was getting along with Tracey (her doggy) and continued to send updates and pictures as well as compliments on Dolly throughout the three days she had Dolly in her care! If I ever had to use Rover again I wouldn’t have any hesitations on contacting Jing again to leave Dolly in her care! Jing you helped me and Dolly in a time of need at a moments notice and Dolly and I can’t thank you enough!”

She went above and beyond with our dog: videos, photos, long walks, feeding him special food since he wasn’t feeling his best, and just taking really good care of him. What stood out to me was how much time she genuinely spent with our dog. You can tell when someone’s just going through the motions, but not Lenore. She was present, communicative, and you could feel that she really cared. Her own dog—a 2-year-old lab-shepherd mix—played so well with ours.
