Even though we didn’t do a meet and greet beforehand, I had a great vibe from the start and trusted them to handle the introductions with their dogs and other dogs in their care. And I’m so glad I did because everything turned out so well! Rachel sent daily updates, and Willow looked so happy and well cared. She got plenty of exercise, which I deeply appreciate because it helped her stay in her routine. They even went above and beyond by being super accommodating when I needed an extra day of care. I had an unfortunate experience with a previous pet sitter and my previous dog through Rover, and was very leery of booking our current dog Ollie. I had been using a trusted friend on the rare occasions we needed to travel ever since. However, he was unavailable for a recent trip, and I scoured the site for someone who (1) had a limit on number of dogs (2) hosted small dogs preferably (3) was present with the dogs during the day and (4) was a true dog lover/owner. She went above and beyond with our dog: videos, photos, long walks, feeding him special food since he wasn’t feeling his best, and just taking really good care of him. What stood out to me was how much time she genuinely spent with our dog. You can tell when someone’s just going through the motions, but not Lenore. She was present, communicative, and you could feel that she really cared. Her own dog—a 2-year-old lab-shepherd mix—played so well with ours. About: As an only child, my dogs were the closest things I had to siblings. I grew up with Rottweilers and pugs, so I do have a soft spot for them (and know all about the pug care: wrinkle cleaning, ear cleaning, breathing difficulties, etc). My pets were sometimes treated better than I was, which I now have a deep appreciation for. Animals are a gift to us- they deserve to be treated as such! About: Have had dogs since 1969 and had from malamutes to chihuahua terrier. I now adopt needy dogs as is my Schnauzer Benny who I adopted 6 months ago after my Eva ( chihuahua terrier mix died of paralysis). I have always loved dogs in our home and I rescue now the needy and handicapped dogs.. Benny a schnauzer is about 10 and is blind with glaucoma and was so mistreated and has been a challenge as well as one of the sweetest dogs I ve ever had. I raised my family of 3 boys in Boulder, Colorado and love mountain hiking and nature. I live in a beautiful neighborhood where I have access to trails 2 blocks from my home. Benny Isnd sll dogs I have benefit from a fully fenced yard and long walks through the BLM land that surrounds my homes. I am a healthy and active retired senior who loves hiking and outdoors. I have a trail two blocks from my home and can walk long distances and exercise your pet. Here in Blaine I spend my summer months since walking and dogs in the desert of Utah is too hot for furry pooches. Beautiful trails from my 1st floor condo… parks and ocean… walking dogs is spectacular in this Semiahmoo neighborhood. Very safe and gated community.
About: I've grew up with high energy hunting dogs and I helped my dad train and take care of them. I love going on walks and they're better with a dog! I have a fairly consistent work schedule which would allow to me visit pets and go on walks regularly, with a little bit of planning! About: We have had 4 personal dogs who all get lots of love and attention, we lost our 2 oldest several yrs ago. We recently added our 4th pup to add love and laughter in our home. We love to give all dogs lots of attention and treats and are firm on reward based learning only. All our dogs have had some type of obedience training. We had been fosters and have had the pleasure of rehoming 16 dogs. We are available any day of the week for daily things. There is always someone home and have an active family. We do daily walks (1-2) times, a bucket of chewy toys, and bags of balls to chew on. We have a large fenced in yard for dogs to run in and a dog friendly home. About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs. I have two dogs back home and one dog here in Canada. I walk and run with them three times a day. I also feed them and play with them using toys. I took a lot of lessons after having my dogs, including their behaviors, the best ways to take care of them and the symptoms of them being sick. About: Hello! Our home is in South Surrey, very close to the Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre. We have done boarding in the past via our own website (PetStay Vancouver). We are lifetime pet owners and experienced pet sitters. We’re a family of 4, husband, wife, and two young girls who love boarding dogs. We all have so much love to give and love walking, playing and caring for dogs. We absolutely love the experience of boarding dogs as a family and your dog will be welcomed as a honorary family member. Me and my wife work from home (me mostly and my wife 100%), we have a huge backyard and live in a super quiet street and neighborhood. Your doggie will receive plenty of attention and have a lot of space to play and walk. We will respect your direction in terms of how your dog is trained and will give your dog as much freedom on our furniture as you allow in your own home, respecting your boundaries. Both me and my wife work from home, so we can easily fit care for your best friend on our daily schedule. The massive half acre backyard is right here and it's great for playing stimulating games and potty breaks. We have a huge yard with a lawn and trees (half acre). It's super easy for us to take your dog outside for quick potty breaks or longer walks in the neighborhood. We will follow your directions, always, with regards to what is OK and what is not. Our two cats have been through several dog boardings in our home with zero issues, they're pretty chill with dogs.
