“We had such a wonderful experience with Luanne as our pet sitter. She was incredibly caring, attentive, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She made both our cat and dog feel so loved and comfortable while we were away, giving them each special attention based on their needs. When we got our pets back, they were calm, relaxed, and content—which says everything about the quality of care she provided. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend Luanne to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter!”

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs. I have two dogs back home and one dog here in Canada. I walk and run with them three times a day. I also feed them and play with them using toys. I took a lot of lessons after having my dogs, including their behaviors, the best ways to take care of them and the symptoms of them being sick. I love animals so much that my mom said I couldn’t sleep without my dog staying under my bed. I have tons of treats and toys at home. I hope to have the chance to help you look after your dogs and make both of you happy :) Looking forward to meet your babies! Walk 2-3 times at least a day, can adjust schedule based on requests. My partner has his own photo studio in Richmond that he can bring dogs to the space and engage with them during the day if you are up for it. Fenced yard, crate available, can feed raw, freeze dried, or kibble/can. Our own dog is eating raw and I have extensive knowledge about this diet!
“Thank you thank you to Shalaine for her excellent care of our dog, Chester. He wasn’t eating well before the stay and Shalaine provided him with home cooked meals. She went above and beyond the call of duty. Shalaine’s entire family pampered Chester and kept him very happy during his time with them.”

“Friendly and professional. The photo updates put me even more at ease, seeing that he was enjoying himself. That there is a dog run nearby and he’s taken for night walks was a bonus.”

“We left our little guy with April while we were away on a two week long trip. April did a fantastic job taking care of our furbaby. We received regular updates, pictures and videos throughout the stay so we knew he was safe in April's care. April was very responsive to our messages. At the end of the stay, due to a panning error on my end, I was unable to make the pick up on the schedule date. April was kind and patient enough to extend the stay and continue looking after our dog until I was able to get in touch with her to sort out the details. I cannot thank her enough for this. I would definitely recommend April to anyone and I know we will certainly be relying on her in the future for pet boarding. April, if you see this, thank you so much for being accommodating and patient with us and for taking such good care of our furbaby.”

“Louis and his lovely family's vacation home was the best decision, they are amazing, loving and care about every detail. Communication was excellent and the numerous photos received gave us a lot of peace of mind. Many thanks family!”

“Kelsey and Chris were so fantastic with our Shiba inu, Mochi! They were very flexible with pick up and drop off times which we appreciated because we had a commitment come up and Mochi needed to stay a little bit longer than originally agreed upon! We met first for a meet and greet, which went fantastic and we did a trial night before we leave her for an extended period of time this summer. They were completely understanding and accommodating of all her funny little quirks, and their dog Dottie got along great with Mochi. Highly recommended!”

“Kris and her family took great care of our Romy and Tilly. Tilly has lots of medical/health needs and she came back refreshed and well fed. Romy is a sweet boy but was having some behavioral issues and they took care of all of it and offered some suggestions for us to help!”

About: I know how much our dogs mean to us because my own beagle, Georgie, is family. With over 15 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, I provide patient, loving, and dependable care tailored to each dog’s needs. Georgie is a very friendly, social boy who absolutely loves the company of other dogs and is always excited to make new friends and play. For dogs who enjoy companionship, having a playful buddy around can help them feel right at home. I can also prepare fresh homemade meals according to your dog’s dietary needs and routine, ensuring they receive the same love and care they’re used to at home. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, or simply providing companionship, my goal is simple: to make your dog feel safe, happy, and loved while giving you complete peace of mind. Plenty of updates, photos, and tail wags included! Since I work from home, pet care naturally fits into my daily routine. I can provide consistent supervision, regular walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of cuddles throughout the day. My friendly beagle, Georgie, is always happy to welcome a new playmate, and I make sure every dog feels safe, loved, and part of the family. I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and engaged throughout the day. I don’t have a yard, but I do have a spacious, pet-friendly townhouse where pets can relax, play, and rest comfortably. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, regular attention, and companionship. For exercise and enrichment, I take dogs on frequent walks in the quiet townhouse neighbourhood and nearby parks, which are easily accessible and great for longer, stimulating walks. I also make sure their routine is followed closely, including feeding schedules, medication if required, playtime, and plenty of affection. My focus is always on maintaining their normal routine while keeping them active, calm, and happy.
“Denise is the best! And the Rover app is pretty awesome too. My wife and I are on an extended cruise, and our dog is staying with our son. He had to be away for a night so booked Denise to take care of Yamess. We were in the middle of the ocean when he got dropped off, and immediately received photos of him emptying her toy box. It’s always so reassuring to get photos and messages when you’re so far away from your pup! Thanks Denise, you’re the best! 🥰”

“Richard and Shari were absolutely wonderful! They were wholesome, kind, and genuinely cared for Oreo. I could tell Oreo had a fantastic time, especially with all the updates and photos they sent throughout the stay. It made me feel so reassured and happy to see Oreo enjoying himself. I highly recommend Richard and Shari to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter. Thank you for treating Oreo like one of your own!”

“Great experience! Dolly was quick to respond to our texts and sent pictures while we were away which was so nice. One of our dogs is special needs and Dolly took excellent care of her. Will definitely book with Dolly again!”

“My French bull dog has such a good time with Shawn's Beagle. He gets lots of exercise and love. Shawn also keeps me updated with pictures and messages so I can see how my dog is doing.”

“Gabriella was fantastic to deal with very accommodating and the girls had an absolute riot with her! 10/10 will be a repeat client and if you care about your dog you will too”

“I want to start by saying that I am not a typical review'er but I am completely blown away with the care that was given to Goose. The amount of physical activity that was provided to Goose and the other dogs that were there was completly mind blowing. I have NEVER left my dog with anyone other then Doggie Day care building up for our trip to be away. Goose came back from her time away COMPLETLY stable and not even a single ounce of stress and she was there for 5 days. We have found our care giver for life!”

“It was our first time leaving our dogs with anybody. Catherine kept us updated everyday with pictures and in for all the dogs. I would highly recommend Catherine. They gave us feedback on how the dogs behaved. I would like to apologize if the barking was to much! I would definitely use Cathrine and Greg again. Thank you again for taking awesome care of our pups.”

“Denise and Paul took great care of our Molly for 5 days, giving us peace of mind to enjoy our trip. They sent constant updates and we were assured that she was in good hands. This was the first time we left Molly with a sitter, and they were very flexible with all our requests. Denise and Paul gave the calm and peaceful environment that Molly needed to feel at home. We’re glad we found the perfect sitter for our fur baby and will definitely be booking with them again. Thank you, Denise and Paul!”

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
