“Judith came for a meet-and-greet before her drop-in visit was scheduled with Maya. I really appreciate this because it helps Maya to meet someone when I am there before a stranger comes into her house. Judith was on time for her drop-in visit and sent pictures of Maya. She took Maya for a walk, played ball with her in the back yard, and fed Maya lunch. We will definitely use Judith again!”

“Marisa is very attentive and loving, exceeded my expectations! I came home to happy pets that, in addition to all their needs having been met, had gotten play time and extra time outside:)”

About: I currently live with 5 dogs with ages ranging from 1-8years old. I have always had a dog growing up and I love them so much! I love hanging out with dogs and cats! I have a week off every month from my job and would enjoy filling that time with pets. Thanks for meeting me! I have a lot of property and it is all fenced in. I have 5 dogs that love other dogs and would be happy to keep your dogs company.
“I don’t even know if I have the words to describe how amazing Ashley is as a sitter!! She was so thorough and left very detailed notes after each visit which I really appreciated. My cats are my babies and any time I’m away, I unbearably miss them. This was the first time where I missed them a little less because of all the pictures, videos, and cute notes Ashley sent. It really felt like I was still there with them. I knew they were in great hands and I could see how much they enjoyed her company. She also went above and beyond for my cat’s medical conditions and learned how to administer their medications/treatments. I truly cannot say enough good things about her, and highly recommend her. We look very forward to working with her again!”

About: I've had dogs in my family since I was a baby; I grew up around them and my love for them grew. I care deeply for my own dogs, and I'm always excited to meet a new four legged friend. I regularly petsit for my family, a multitude of dogs, cats, and aquatic creatures. My schedule is currently very flexible; I make time for a walk and training my own dog every day and I sometimes bring him with me when running errands. I love snuggling and hanging out with all kinds of pets, letting them get comfortable with me in their space and touching them at their own pace.

“Hope is a wonderful, thoughtful, excellent communicator and we are so lucky to have her compassion and skill watching our little monsters. Our dogs can be a handful sometimes, and they are spoiled rotten so I am nervous leaving them with new people. Hope cares for them thoughtfully, sends updates and communicates regularly, and I truly cannot recommend her more strongly!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Custer. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 90% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
