“Absolutely love Melissa and Ryan! They really came through for me on a short notice and even helped me with undoing a hitch on my car. They say you find good people everywhere you go, and I definitely found some great ones. My pups loved them and I felt totally safe and trusted them to take care of my girls. Highly recommend!”

“We knew within the first 60 seconds of Azure's meet & greet with our pups that they would be in good hands. She was immediately comfortable with our feisty little dog and by the time she left the short visit, both dogs were in love with her. Azure was very communicative, responsible and caring. We recommend her highly.”

About: I have a wide range of hands-on experience caring for animals . I’ve worked in barns as a groom, exercise rider, and stable hand, have volunteered at animal sanctuary’s and helped with adoption events and I also gained experience working at a dog and cat daycare and boarding facility. In addition, I’ve cared for many friends’, family members’ pets over the years. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your animals. I’m knowledgeable, reliable, and committed to providing every pet with safe, compassionate, individualized care. I’m happy to accommodate their needs. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pets and be someone you can count on whenever you need ! I have availability any day of the week and can always work my schedule around you! I’ve always loved animals and as a stay at home mom , I’m looking to make money where it fits I have a duplex like living situation . It’s a one bedroom home with a fenced back yard . The other person on the property owns two dogs as well but the yard is fenced off separately so there’s no contact . I have a 4 yr old German Shepard who’s a saint and has love for every creature:) he’s gentle and good with senior dogs, small dogs, large dogs , cats and anything in between. Respectful of boundaries but it’s also possible to have him go to grandmas house so if your dog doesn’t get along with others, that’s okay too!
“Anna was great with communication and helped to reassure that Smokey Preston was well taken care of during her drop-in visits. I greatly appreciated all the photo updates she sent and definitely would request having her help again in the future!”

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 11. For years, I have been trusted to care for, walk, feed, bathe, and snuggle all sorts of dogs. l work 8-4 weekdays. However, if your pup requires an afternoon visit I will be available! Just let me know what works best for you and I’ll be happy to make it work! I do currently live in an apartment that has a small yard so I will be able to let them out for potty breaks. There is also a nearby park that will allow for lots of running around time!
“Lizz is great! She's adaptable to different situations and routines. Our cats were well taken care of during the drop ins that we scheduled with her. Thank you for checking in this weekend!”

“Alena was so sweet with my pup Mochi! She gave her lots of love and attention, made sure she was well exercised, and even worked on the current commands we are teaching. Alena is punctual, safe, and communicative. She is the best dog walker and sitter around!”

“Marion was very responsive, competent, and reliable! I had a great experience hiring her to walk my dog while on vacation visiting Mt. Baker. I only reached out a few days ahead, but she was flexible and very easy to communicate with. I would definitely hire her again!”

“Booked Krystal again because she is very attentive, great communication, and friendly! She makes sure to care for my home and cat and provides detailed updates which I really appreciate 🙂”
“Sophia just took care of our cat for a second time, and she was very communicative and helpful :) we definitely recommend her if you’re looking for a sitter in the area”

About: I'm in college, studying to be a Veterinary Technician. I've had many types of animals and I've been caring for animals as a way to make money for several years- predominantly dogs. I am free on weekends. I'm usually free on Wednesday and Monday. I'm available at 1pm on Tuesdays, and I'm available on Fridays and Thursdays after 4pm. My cat is indoors, and I make a great deal of effort to keep her that way (she tries to escape a lot). I make sure to keep her happy and entertained, just as I do with my client's pets. When I am in a client's home I ensure adequate care and their animal's safety.
“She gets along great with the cats, even our grumpy one Perry came out towards the end. She was prompt and understanding even when I botched the schedule. Will book again!”

About: I am a mom of two (part-time) I share custody with their dad, when I have free time I like to keep busy! I’ve owned a dog since I was little ranging from small to big. I have had plenty of interactions with others pets too such as cats, birds, and fish. I love animals! I’m not certified in training but have taken beginner level dog train courses. I practice positive reinforcement, I’ve had experience with potty training and crate training. I love walking, playing fetch, hide and seek or any other games your animals love to enjoy to get energy out. I also enjoy just cuddling :) Pet care is a natural part of my lifestyle. I enjoy being active, spending time outdoors, and building routines, so caring for animals fits seamlessly into my day. Whether it’s early morning walks, playtime in the afternoon, or evening check-ins, I prioritize giving pets consistent attention and affection. In a client’s home, I follow their pet’s established routine closely to make sure the transition feels smooth and stress-free. I provide fresh food and water, regular potty breaks, exercise, and plenty of play and snuggle time. I also keep the space clean, tidy, and safe. If I’m housesitting, I respect the home as if it were my own and make sure pets feel comfortable, cared for, and never alone for long stretches.
About: Hi I'm Katie! Also known as that British lady! I have owned dogs my entire life, usually always two at a time. I currently have one of my own after losing three elderly dogs in the last few years. I now only have Ernie a chihuahua cross i rescued from Kansas in 2017. I've had experience with various breeds and fostered ex racer greyhounds for a while in the U.K. I also have two indoor/outdoor cats I rescued as kittens from local feral cat litters. I finish work for the Summer in June and can offer drop in services up to three times a day for dogs, cats and smaller furries if you live in the local area, Maple Falls etc. These can be whilst you’re at work to give your beloved pet a potty break or they can be for longer stretches of time while you vacation so you can feel secure your dogs are in their own home safe and comfortable. I can also board dogs in my own home from all over Whatcom county if they are dog/cat/responsible kid friendly. I have a fenced in yard and a very dog friendly house! I finish work for the summer in June and have a lot of availability for both walks, drop ins and boarding! From June 12th my schedule really opens up! I have a fenced yard and a dog friendly home. I have two dog friendly cats who are indoor and outdoor and tolerated living with four dogs and two kids. Dogs are allowed on my sofa and bed but only if you allow that at home… I don’t want to create bad habits!

Brea is amazing! She initially came by for a meet and greet and we knew immediately she was the one to care for our kitties. Each visit she shared photos and her affection for our cats with us. We truly felt they were receiving the very best care while we were away. We will most definitely call on Brea again. “Thanks Brea”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Everson. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 91% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
