“Arianna helped look after our cat, Wayne, for about a week on a pretty last minute request and we are so grateful! She did a great job, and was super communicative. We would definitely recommend her for petsitting!”

About: I started pet sitting when I was 13, and am very confident in my abilities. I also have two cats and two dogs of my own, so I am used to being around and taking care of pets. I will be back in Bellingham for the summer starting on the 13th of June, and my days are completely free, so I will be able to completely prioritize taking care of your pet! I love spending time with the pets in addition to feeding them, taking them on walks, and meeting their other needs. I follow directions very well, and am consistent with food measurements, number of walks, etc. If I have any questions I will not hesitate to ask. I want to make sure that I am taking care of your pets how you want me to!
About: I’ve had pets my whole life, I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family since I was 17 as well as work experience at a dog kennel, so I have experience with all kinds of dogs, including reactive and aggressive dogs. I’ll do everything I can to make sure your pets are safe, comfortable and cared for while they’re with me. My schedule is pretty flexible, as long as I have no other bookings within a 30 minute window of the time slot you request I’ll be able to accommodate you and your pets! I’m also not planning on going home for the summer, so I will be available June-August. I will adhere to your pets normal routine and your rules as best I can, making sure they receive meals & activities at a consistent time. My priority will be your pets comfort & safety so you can relax while you’re away.
“I met Azure and she is wonderful. I felt so much better being away from my cat with her watching him. She communicated well and gave great updates. She is my first choice for a pet sitter, I’ll definitely be using her services again.”

“Leslie was amazing with my two pups and such a great find for a last minute booking! She was accommodating and great with communication. This was my first time using Rover and I was not sure how my pups would be with a new person as one of them can be anxious. They warmed up to Leslie right away and there were no issues. I appreciated the detailed check ins and pictures at every visit and felt very reassured my dogs were being well taken care of. I will definitely be using Leslie again! Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up working on a farm! Not only am I familiar with training puppies and caring for cats, I also know my way around a barn. I have time in the early mornings and evenings to visit your pets! I am also able to house sit and provide daily exercise to any extent you need! I love to go on walks and adventuring in parks. But I also love just sitting on the couch with a dog or cat :) I am flexible and ready to meet whatever your pet needs!
“Lizz was amazing with our little clowns! They certainly appreciated her taking the time to work with them and give them the tlc they needed each and every visit! We surely will be using your services in the future Lizz, thank you so very much for your help! 🐱”

“Sophia did a few check ins for our cats when we were gone over night. She took great care of them and they were happy and content when we got home! We’re looking forward to her staying for a longer trip soon.”

“Absolutely loved Marisa! My kitty has been a bit nervous at our new home and Marisa was so respectful and welcoming to her. I really appreciated the updates she sent and the photos that showed how my kitty was warming up to them and enjoying having them over. I will definitely be reaching out to Marisa again for future visits and highly recommend her! She’s kind, professional, compassionate, thoughtful, and very communicative.”

“Sophia was very attentive to the needs of my anxious and senior pups. She is great with communication, in time visits and sharing updates with photos. I highly recommend Sophia. Your pets will be in great hands!”

“Skylar was great with our elderly cat Lucky! Lucky usually hides from anyone who isn’t family, but she let Skylar take her picture and even accepted Nulo Treat from her. Skylar was flexible as our schedule changed a little and even helped us navigate the Rover app. I highly recommend her.”

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 11. For years, I have been trusted to care for, walk, feed, bathe, and snuggle all sorts of dogs. l work 8-4 weekdays. However, if your pup requires an afternoon visit I will be available! Just let me know what works best for you and I’ll be happy to make it work! I do currently live in an apartment that has a small yard so I will be able to let them out for potty breaks. There is also a nearby park that will allow for lots of running around time!
“Absolutely love Melissa and Ryan! They really came through for me on a short notice and even helped me with undoing a hitch on my car. They say you find good people everywhere you go, and I definitely found some great ones. My pups loved them and I felt totally safe and trusted them to take care of my girls. Highly recommend!”

“I had a great experience with Juliana! She stepped in on short notice and was incredibly communicative with setting up her checking in on my pup! She sent photos and went above and beyond to look after my dog! Highly recommend!”

About: My pet care experience began when I joined a humane society volunteer program where I worked for 6 years and became a shift lead. Later, I worked at a doggy daycare and overnight pet hotel. There I worked with specific dog’s needs and care as well as managed a group of up to 60 free-roaming dogs (yes, it was as amazing as it sounds) I have worked as a pet sitter and dog walker for most of my life, and I have experience with a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have also worked with horses for most of my life and in the summers I care for horses on a large farm. They are pretty much a bunch of big, funny, puppies. I am formally trained in: -Dog first aide and CPR -Dog, cat, and small animal body language and care -Dog Bathing -Basic obedience training I am currently a recent WWU graduate working a part-time job. Being in my gap year after school, most of my time is flexible and social. I’m looking to fill some of my free time working with cute pets! While I do have a good foundation in general pet care, pet safety, and dog behavior, I prioritize the individual needs of the dog. I may have experience with many pets but no one knows your dog better than you. Care, to me, is about open communication and making sure your pup is happy!
About: Update: Based in Bellingham Washington, currently looking to board/housesit for aniamals in Bellingham. I am a full time dog trainer and animal caretaker. I am also available for hire for canine training. I am in the process of receiving my national professional degree for Large and Small Animal Accupressure. I am also available for hire on the northern coast of Oregon, available for animal sitting in-home. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up caring for neighborhood pups, giving them daily walks and love which fueled my admiration for them. I love spending time with animals because of how much we learn from each other. I spent summers working on a farm where I learned to work with all animals - great and small. From draft horses to cattle to chinchillas to fish to llamas to birds and bunny rabbits - I have worked with many types of animals. With dogs, I have cared for and train dogs from dachshunds to Great Pyrenees and so many breeds in between. I have worked with animals for over 15 years time as a caretaker. I volunteer at an animal shelter where I get to work with lots of different breeds. I have experience working with dogs which need a little bit of extra help on their manners or that have come from an abusive situation, creating a calm and trusting atmosphere for them where they can thrive. I find that not just do I love spending time with animals but that I grow as a person working with them. I am also available for pet sitting of animals other then dogs, as well. So please, go on your next vacation with your mind at ease, knowing your pets are well cared for and are on a vacation of their very own at our beautiful farm in northern Bellingham, complete with acerage, rolling fields and plenty of room to run and play. Wishing you a beautiful day!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Goshen
Melissa and Ryan took excellent care of my cats while I was on vacation. This was my first Rover experience, and they made it feel completely seamless from start to finish. They were very accommodating, took the time to do a meet and greet beforehand, and made me feel confident leaving my cats in their care. I also really appreciated the detailed recaps and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. They did a fantastic job, and I would absolutely book with them again. Highly recommend!
Our kitty greeted Melissa and her kiddos everyday at the door the way he greets my husband and I so I could tell that he enjoyed their company. He was even ready to play when we got home which made it apparent that he got used to the routine of playing with them everyday. Melissa is a great communicator and kept us informed of everything going on and provided excellent updates and photos for us each day. We’ll definitely book with them again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Goshen. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
