About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 11. For years, I have been trusted to care for, walk, feed, bathe, and snuggle all sorts of dogs. l work 8-4 weekdays. However, if your pup requires an afternoon visit I will be available! Just let me know what works best for you and I’ll be happy to make it work! I do currently live in an apartment that has a small yard so I will be able to let them out for potty breaks. There is also a nearby park that will allow for lots of running around time!

“Madelyne went above and beyond taking care of my cat. She exceeded my expectations, as well as sent me daily text messages, videos, and pictures of my precious Julia. 10 out of 10 stars for sure. I highly recommend her if you want your pet more than well taken care of. ❤️❤️I’ll definitely use her again.”

“Gabrielle says she will "treat your pet like family." She certainly does! She gave our little dog plenty of attention and care, including just hanging out with her during the visits. We highly recommend Gabrielle as a pet sitter, and she also took care of some other chores and made sure our Gekko had water, etc.”

“Azure is absolutely amazing. Our kitties love her, and we feel safe with her caring for them while we are gone. Her updates, pictures, and all recommendations are excellent. We plan to hire her always in the future.”

“Leslie was amazing with my two pups and such a great find for a last minute booking! She was accommodating and great with communication. This was my first time using Rover and I was not sure how my pups would be with a new person as one of them can be anxious. They warmed up to Leslie right away and there were no issues. I appreciated the detailed check ins and pictures at every visit and felt very reassured my dogs were being well taken care of. I will definitely be using Leslie again! Highly recommend!”

“Lizz is amazing; she took this booking last minute and had plenty of time to meet Kade twice before the booking to make sure he warmed up to her. She was so nice and patient with Kade and it looks like they had a great time! Thank you!!”

“Brooke did a fantastic job with watching our cats over a long weekend. She was punctual and professional, which gave us confidence that our cats were getting the attention they deserve! We’d happily work with Brooke again.”

About: I’ve grown up taking care of all kinds of pets and I have a really big heart for all kinds of animals. I truly love animals and I am so excited to start watching them! Right now I am currently working only 5 times a week for about 4-6 hours each day. I have a very open schedule so I thought this would be an amazing opportunity to do what I love. I would need to know the personality of the pet I am watching to know how to handle it. But I would take care of your pets the way you would want me too
“Michael was fantastic with our pups! One of our pups is a nervous little old lady and Michael was great at meeting the individual needs of both dogs! The check in pictures were appreciated and very reassuring! We’ll definitely book services with Michael for our next trip!”

“Emily did an incredible job caring for our two cats while we were away. She was attentive, reliable, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. She kept us updated with daily photos and messages, which gave us such peace of mind. When we returned, our cats were relaxed and happy, and it was obvious they had been well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would absolutely trust Emily with our pets again in the future!”

About: My pet care experience began when I joined a humane society volunteer program where I worked for 6 years and became a shift lead. Later, I worked at a doggy daycare and overnight pet hotel. There I worked with specific dog’s needs and care as well as managed a group of up to 60 free-roaming dogs (yes, it was as amazing as it sounds) I have worked as a pet sitter and dog walker for most of my life, and I have experience with a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have also worked with horses for most of my life and in the summers I care for horses on a large farm. They are pretty much a bunch of big, funny, puppies. I am formally trained in: -Dog first aide and CPR -Dog, cat, and small animal body language and care -Dog Bathing -Basic obedience training I am currently a recent WWU graduate working a part-time job. Being in my gap year after school, most of my time is flexible and social. I’m looking to fill some of my free time working with cute pets! While I do have a good foundation in general pet care, pet safety, and dog behavior, I prioritize the individual needs of the dog. I may have experience with many pets but no one knows your dog better than you. Care, to me, is about open communication and making sure your pup is happy!
“Anna was terrific. I had just moved to a new town, where I didn't know anybody, a few days before when I had to leave suddenly for a family emergency. I needed to be gone for at least a week. My cats hadn't even had time to adjust after the move. Anna accepted a last minute request, and remained flexible as plans changed in the unsettled situation I faced. Her updates were thorough, and a break from the stressful situation I faced. My cats grew to love her, and I returned to three very happy and well adjusted cats.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Geneva. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
