About: Dogs and cats are my first priority whenever I'm over at a friend or family member's house. My brother had asthma so we re-homed our dog Sylvie when I was seven years old--I have some very dramatic journal articles from that time! So, whenever I got to be around pets, I gave them as much of my attention as they were interested in. I am now lucky enough to have my own dog (Shannon, the goldendoodle in my profile picture) but can never get enough time with dogs and cats!! Over the summer my schedule is relatively flexible, so if your dog needs a walk or your cat needs to be fed at any time throughout the day, I should be able to make it work! My goal is to maintain your pet's routine as much as possible! I can spend one-on-one time with them, take them out, or just check on them as the situation requires.

About: Caring for people and pets comes naturally to me. I worked in nursing for several years before leaving to care for my father full time.between that and being a mom giving love and care comes easy. I have 3 dogs of my own, all of which are friendly and love a bit of play time. I am a big believer in fresh air and exercise. Let's get those steps in for your 4 legged family member. I don't work a regular job, I care for my elderly father and do some side work here and there. So I am available for walking or drop in visits at a moments notice. I have a fenced in yard and food and treats at the ready. Many leashes and brushes and more. I have 3 dogs of my own that love to play with each other and yours too. I can also keep my dogs away if yours isn't socialized to others.

About: I’ve been a cat enthusiast since birth, and always had a few family dogs. Growing up as a kid my family did a lot of pet sitting for friends, family,and neighbors. “This was our first time using Rover and Monica made the process so easy. She sent us notes and lots of pictures at every visit. She took cues from our dog on how far she could walk at each visit depending on the weather and then spent time cuddling our Boston Terrier too (which is just as important for our dog as exercise). We were out of town and never had to worry if things were going well! Our family highly recommends Monica for your pet walking/sitting needs!!”

About: I grew up surrounded by animals and spent most of high school and college as the go-to pet sitter for my friends, family, and neighbors. I’ve cared for all kinds of pets and animals so nothing phases me! Now that I have a bit more flexibility in my schedule, I’m excited to get back to it. Whether it's a quick walk, popping in for a welfare check, or house-sitting while you're on vacation, I promise to treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I'm available most of the day and all week (including weekends) Even if your house has a fenced in yard I am always present and alert when if comes to letting pets out and playing with them.

About: Born and raised a dog lover! I’ve have 5 dogs throughout my life that I have loved so dearly. I’ve grown up taking care of my friend’s dogs in HS and college. I love to go on walks, so why not bring your pup with me! I unfortunately do not have my own dog at this time with my significant other, but I hope to get one soon! I am a teacher who is taking a small step back in education to focus on my health. I know your dogs will help me A LOT during this transition, and they will be under great care. I currently live in an apartment in Des Moines, so I am also available for drop-ins to ensure your pup is comfortable at home! I am willing to travel to different to parts of the metro to help you and your pup!

About: I have taken care of dogs of all sizes small to extra large as well as cats and even some exotic pets. I have been the go to sitter for my friends and family every time they go on vacation. I love caring for animals and can’t wait to help you with yours. I am experienced with animals- puppies to elderly dogs, kittens to elderly cats. I homeschool my kids so I have a very flexible schedule and can work with what you need. I mostly have open afternoons and Friday through the weekend. While I’m taking care of your pet I will do all I can to assure they are taken care of physically as well as emotionally offering love, play and exercise, whatever it is they need that day. Every pet is different and I will work with you to ensure they are getting what they need from me, walks, pets or play.
