About: Hello! My name is Adriana. If you’re anything like me, you want to know exactly who you’re trusting with your furry family members while you’re away. Let me put your mind at ease and show you why your pets will be in great hands. I currently have a 16-year-old Pitbull, Buddy, a 3-year-old Shiba Inu, Nala May, and an 8-year-old cat, Bean. They are my world! I’ve cared for Buddy since he was just one year old—though sometimes it feels like he’s taken care of me. Over the years, he’s given me not only a deep love for animals but also firsthand experience in caring for pets as they age and require extra patience and attention. I’ve had Nala May since she was four months old, and I continue to train and socialize her daily. She keeps me active and always learning. I adopted Bean from a cat café in West Des Moines when she was two, and she’s been my independent, outspoken girl ever since. She’s taught me how important it is to respect each pet’s unique personality. Whether your pet needs a slow, gentle walk, a high-energy run, or simply a warm lap to relax on, I’m happy to provide exactly what they need. My professional experience started at a dog boarding and daycare facility, where I worked hands-on in play yards and learned how to read and understand dog behavior. Within a year, I advanced to an Assistant Manager position and became certified in dog and cat CPR. During my time there, I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I learned how to comfort anxious pets, manage high-energy dogs, and provide engaging enrichment activities while safely redirecting behaviors. Currently, I work at a veterinary and rehabilitation clinic Monday, Wednesday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a hour break in the afternoon. I am also in school working toward becoming a registered veterinary technician. At the clinic, I’ve gained valuable medical knowledge and hands-on skills, including administering medications, injections, and fluids, assisting with mobility in senior pets, and recognizing early signs of health concerns. Animal care has always been a passion of mine. My goal is to give every pet owner peace of mind, knowing their beloved companion is safe, happy, and well cared for. I understand that every animal has unique needs, and I’m dedicated to meeting those needs with patience, compassion, and attention to detail. I want every pet in my care to enjoy their time with me just as much as their owners enjoy their time away. I currently work at a veterinary clinic Monday-Friday 7:00am-6pm with a hour break at 1:00. I have a strong passion for all animals and would love to spend my evenings giving your furry friend the love and attention they deserve! I have personal experience with all dogs energy. I have had hands on experience with puppies and seniors. I do prefer to have dogs harnessed on walks to ensure their safety. I will give your pets my full undivided attention. About: Ive grown up with various types of dogs my whole life, ranging from chihuahuas to Rottweilers. During my senior year I completed a 150 hour internship at animal care clinic west and metro where I handled various breeds of cats and dogs of all ages and temperaments. From that I learned many different skills like animal handling and how to notice when a cat or dog is in distress. Not only that but I have volunteered at Furry Friend Refuge and have experience with rescue cats. I am comfortable walking, feeding, playing with, and caring for pets with different energy levels and needs.I I recently have been around indoor and outdoor farm cats these past couple of years and have become very comfortable with them and know how to take care of them. Currently my oldest dog who is a Rottie and 11 was born with hip dysplasia, meaning I am able to handle big dog with disabilities. I am currently a college student at the university as a biology major on the pre veterinary tract. I am currently on summer break so my availability is pretty open day to day. I will be baby sitting part time from Tuesday to Thursdays from 8am-4pm. When I am not doing babysitting, I am available all day and after 4pm the days I do babysit. I care for pets in my home by making sure they stay on a consistent routine with feeding, fresh water, exercise, bathroom breaks, and attention. I pay close attention to their behavior and comfort, especially with older pets or pets with medical needs. Since my oldest Rottweiler has hip dysplasia, I understand the importance of patience, gentle handling, and monitoring animals carefully. I also make sure pets have a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

About: I’ve been a cat enthusiast since birth, and always had a few family dogs. Growing up as a kid my family did a lot of pet sitting for friends, family,and neighbors. About: Caring for people and pets comes naturally to me. I worked in nursing for several years before leaving to care for my father full time.between that and being a mom giving love and care comes easy. I have 3 dogs of my own, all of which are friendly and love a bit of play time. I am a big believer in fresh air and exercise. Let's get those steps in for your 4 legged family member. I don't work a regular job, I care for my elderly father and do some side work here and there. So I am available for walking or drop in visits at a moments notice. I have a fenced in yard and food and treats at the ready. Many leashes and brushes and more. I have 3 dogs of my own that love to play with each other and yours too. I can also keep my dogs away if yours isn't socialized to others.

About: Dogs and cats are my first priority whenever I'm over at a friend or family member's house. My brother had asthma so we re-homed our dog Sylvie when I was seven years old--I have some very dramatic journal articles from that time! So, whenever I got to be around pets, I gave them as much of my attention as they were interested in. I am now lucky enough to have my own dog (Shannon, the goldendoodle in my profile picture) but can never get enough time with dogs and cats!! Over the summer my schedule is relatively flexible, so if your dog needs a walk or your cat needs to be fed at any time throughout the day, I should be able to make it work! About: I have taken care of dogs of all sizes small to extra large as well as cats and even some exotic pets. I have been the go to sitter for my friends and family every time they go on vacation. I love caring for animals and can’t wait to help you with yours. I am experienced with animals- puppies to elderly dogs, kittens to elderly cats. I homeschool my kids so I have a very flexible schedule and can work with what you need. I mostly have open afternoons and Friday through the weekend. About: Hey there! I’m Rachel and I’ve had a family dog for as long as I can remember. But now I have a family of my own- my partner and I have 4 kids and a mini zoo with 1 bunny, 2 ball pythons, 1 bearded dragon, 2 dogs, 4 cats, 6 mourning geckos and 6 aquariums with fish, snails, dwarf crayfish and shrimp. So, I have a lot of experience with a wide range of animals. Since I’ve started pet sitting on Rover I’ve also gained experience with raw feeding cats and dogs, chicken wrangling, mini home repairs, tree moving, raspberry picking and goose whispering. I used to volunteer every day at the local animal shelter while I was in highschool where I got tons of experience with all types of dogs and frequently helped out the neighbors with their escape artist husky! I previously worked as an assistant dog trainer. I’ve gotten tons of experience with how to better read animal’s body language, create and maintained presence control and facilitate healthy play. While most of my experience is with dogs, I am a true animal lover. One of the biggest perks of having me as your sitter is that our whole family helps take part. My 15 year old, Bella, is usually heavily involved in the care of the animals we sit. My other 3 younger kids also absolute love to take care of and play with all the animals. If your pets like to hang out and play with kids, get attention all day long… your pets are in for a treat with us! (For boarding) We truly strive to give dogs a home-away-from-home experience where they just jump right into our routine. Most of the time they end up sleeping in bed with one of our kids, playing with us outside, getting loves on the couch- all the stuff a family dog can expect. We stand proudly in our family beliefs of qualify pet care and don’t want to be a boarding spot where they put your animal in a kennel, let them out twice a day and charge you extra for playtime or potty breaks. We do generally keep our own dogs separated from our rover dogs just for everyone’s safety and ease. For repeat dog clients that we know well & think would play well with our dogs, we do let them play together. We have a neighbor who lets us use their fenced in quarter acre yard so we do a little meet and greet there in neutral territory. (For pet sitting at home): We do come and go more often when we are sitting pets at their own home but we still make it a family affair. We make sure to drop-in frequently to check on them, feed them, let them out and play with them! Bella loves to hang out with our pet clients and play with them. Sometimes I bring a different kiddo to stay the night with me each night so that they all get a chance to give individual attention to the animals we are watching. We also watch over the house and property. At one pet sit, there was a storm that ran through and a massive branch broke into the pet parent’s driveway, front yard, sidewalk and street! After we notified the owners, Bella and I got it moved out of the way of the street and sidewalk so the pet parents didn’t have to worry about it until they got home. We understand that pet sitting is more than just watching the pets at home and we like to provide a holistic approach. My wife, Leigh also cleans and manages houses when she isn’t at home with our kids. She was the manager and trainer at a locally owned high-end home management company for many years. If you want your house cleaned or you have an organizational project you want completed while you’re gone, let me know! Leigh would be happy to chat with you, figure out what you’re wanting accomplished and get it done while you’re gone. She’s got a plethora of clients who continue to be impressed with her work and ask her to come back as proof of a job well done- so it’s not just my (possibly biased) opinion. 😉 WINTER UPDATE : I have carefully curated my locational availability to be where I am comfortable taking care of pets. I do still accept clients outside of that area if we can manage it BUT I do plan to charge an additional $10+ for clients who are outside of our Rover limit to account for extra gas & travel time. Winter adds extra stress with the extra hazards of driving on snowy and icy roads and the extra time of scraping my vehicle off, driving slower, etc. Please keep in mind with any pet sitter (for house sitting or boarding in particular) that you are literally paying them to be working & on-call, driving to and from your home for many hours & compare that to what you expect from an hourly job. 🤍 I try to keep my prices as reasonable as I can while also respecting and protecting myself. I work as a school bus driver primarily so it leaves my summer & most major holidays pretty open! When I am at work my wife is usually home with some or all of the kids, so even when I’m busy- we have the ability to care for pets. I am pretty flexible but my main priority is making sure I am respectful of your space as much as I would want someone to be respectful of mine. Taking photos and communicating heavily with pet parents is top priority for me. If you wish to have less communication, just let me know so I don’t send too many cute pictures of your pets! I know what a big deal it is to leave my pets in the care of someone else and as a result, I take the responsibility very seriously myself. We have a very large unfenced yard. We do not use any pesticides on our yard to protect the environment and animals of all kinds. 🌎🐝🦋 In the warm months, you’ll see lots of native plants, wildflowers and butterflies in our yard as a result. Please note: While we welcome pets of all kinds, we do not allow pet parents into our home. We want to make sure we are protecting the privacy and security of our children and their space. Also: we have 4 kids (see: mini-zoo reference above) it can be a mess up in here sometimes! 🤣

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have extensive hands-on experience caring for them in different settings. I grew up with dogs and have been pet sitting for both dogs and cats for many years. I have also worked at a doggy daycare, where I gained experience working with a variety of different breeds and temperaments, as well as managing group play. Beyond companion animals, I have professional experience as a zoo keeper and animal behavior researcher. I have worked at the Cincinnati Zoo and currently work at the Ape Initiative, where I am responsible for the daily husbandry of six bonobos. I also have animal training experience and once trained a goat to complete an obstacle course! Locally, I also worked with Drake University’s Live Mascot Program caring for Griff II, our live bulldog mascot. I helped with his day-to-day care, attended events with him, and administered allergy shots. I’m really excited to bring this experience to Rover and to get to know and care for your pets as if they were my own. I currently work part-time as a zoo keeper at the Ape Initiative, which allows me flexibility in my schedule to provide pet care services. I am available for drop-in visits on Saturdays, and on weekdays at any time except Wednesdays and Thursdays before 2:30 PM. I provide all care in my clients’ homes so pets can stay in their normal, comfortable environment. I stick closely to each pet’s routine and any instructions given, including feeding, litter box care, enrichment, and companionship during visits. I always prioritize a calm, low-stress approach and pay attention to each pet’s body language so they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. I also treat every home with respect and make sure everything is clean and tidy after each visit. I will also send plenty of updates and photos so you can see all the fun we’re having together!

About: I got my first pet in 2018, a Dutch Rabbit named Oreo. Since then I’ve fallen in love with animals and now have a dog and leopard gecko!
