For the past 7 years, I have lived in Iowa City where I worked as a Clinical Dietitian for the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. I have now permanently returned to my hometown of Des Moines as I finish University of Iowa's Physician Assistant Program as a graduate student. 🏥🎓 For the past 5+ years, I have been providing high quality pet sitting services in the Des Moines/Iowa City area through Rover with over 50+ clients, and 100+ bookings. I'm a responsible, dedicated person that will ensure your pets are given the energy, professional care and snuggles they need for a happy, healthy life while you're away. 🐱 🐶 I have extensive experience caring for dogs and cats (even pet rats!), including a 5+ year history of working as a certified dog trainer at Petco in West Des Moines, Iowa in which I exclusively used positive reinforcement techniques. I am highly comfortable with pet sitting and walking all dog types and sizes (no preferred breeds), managing any unforeseen conflicts, and most importantly - making sure to keep your pet's tail wagging! How I ensure safety with my pet care: 🖤 Consistent communication, so you can be away without worry . 💛 100% supervision when pets are outside, EVERYTIME. 🖤 I respect any limitations your dog may have during walks including avoiding people, children, other dogs, stressful/noisy environments and being mindful of health conditions. Kayla was fantastic! She was kind enough to accommodate a last-minute booking and took such great care of our senior pup. She was prompt, communicative, and sent photos from the visit. Will definitely book again!
Kayla is an amazing cat sitter who I will continue to rebook! She takes great care of my two cats, one of which takes daily medication. I feel relaxed going on vacation knowing they are receiving genuine affection and attention.
Kayla did an excellent job taking care of my older cat, Chloe. Highly recommend and will use her for future pet drop-in visit needs.
