For the past 7 years, I have lived in Iowa City where I worked as a Clinical Dietitian for the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. I have now permanently returned to my hometown of Des Moines as I finish University of Iowa's Physician Assistant Program as a graduate student. 🏥🎓 For the past 5+ years, I have been providing high quality pet sitting services in the Des Moines/Iowa City area through Rover with over 50+ clients, and 100+ bookings. I'm a responsible, dedicated person that will ensure your pets are given the energy, professional care and snuggles they need for a happy, healthy life while you're away. 🐱 🐶 I have extensive experience caring for dogs and cats (even pet rats!), including a 5+ year history of working as a certified dog trainer at Petco in West Des Moines, Iowa in which I exclusively used positive reinforcement techniques. I am highly comfortable with pet sitting and walking all dog types and sizes (no preferred breeds), managing any unforeseen conflicts, and most importantly - making sure to keep your pet's tail wagging! How I ensure safety with my pet care: 🖤 Consistent communication, so you can be away without worry . 💛 100% supervision when pets are outside, EVERYTIME. 🖤 I respect any limitations your dog may have during walks including avoiding people, children, other dogs, stressful/noisy environments and being mindful of health conditions. Your home can be trusted with me, and I would be happy to communicate with you as often as you prefer. A daily morning and evening photo of your fur baby? - I'd be happy to send!

Kayla is an amazing cat sitter who I will continue to rebook! She takes great care of my two cats, one of which takes daily medication. I feel relaxed going on vacation knowing they are receiving genuine affection and attention.
