About: I offer reliable, loving dog care with plenty of attention, playtime, and patience. I treat every dog like family and adapt to their energy level, routine, and personality so they feel safe and happy in my care. I carefully follow all owner instructions, including feeding, walks, medications, and special care needs. Whether your dog loves active play or just wants companionship and reassurance, I make sure they’re comfortable, well cared for, and given lots of affection while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I currently have a flexible schedule while working on building my own entrepreneurial business. That flexibility allows me to dedicate quality time to each pet and adapt to their routines, whether that means visits, walks, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping them company. I’ve been pet sitting for years for family, friends, and acquaintances, and it’s always been one of my favorite side gigs because I genuinely enjoy caring for animals and getting to know their personalities. Since it’s something I’ve done and loved for a long time, I decided to start offering my services to more people in my local community. At this time, I’m only able to offer care in my client’s home, where pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality and adapt to their individual needs. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, and routines, and I always make sure fresh water is available. I also provide playtime, affection, and companionship based on what each pet is comfortable with, whether they want lots of cuddles or a little extra personal space. I pay close attention to their behavior and physical condition so I can quickly notice if something seems off, helping ensure they stay safe, healthy, and happy while you’re away.
About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my professional experience working with animals in a shelter environment for over four years. During that time, I cared for dogs, cats, and small pets with a wide range of personalities and needs. I’m Fear Free Certified and committed to handling animals in a way that minimizes stress and helps them feel safe and comfortable. I’m confident working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including those who may be reactive, shy, fearful, or impulsive. I understand how important patience, body language awareness, and calm handling are for building trust with animals who need a little extra support. Whether it’s energetic puppies, sensitive dogs, independent cats, or tiny foster kittens, I strive to provide thoughtful, compassionate care tailored to each pet’s individual personality and needs. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits daily after 4:30 PM, as well as all day on Fridays and Saturdays. Whether your pet needs an evening walk, a check-in while you’re working late, or extra attention before the weekend, I’m happy to help provide reliable, caring support for you and your pets. I provide dog walks and drop-in visits directly from your home, allowing your pet to stay comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment. During each visit, I focus on providing attentive care, exercise, and companionship to help keep your pet happy while you’re away.

“Gao was an amazing fit for my need(s) for BearBear. Reading her profile was the main reason I selected her. She was very knowledgeable, passionate, and handled BearBear with the care he needed; above and beyond (medicine doses, nail trim, etc.). Her communication, availability and empathy was exactly what I needed. Thank you!”

I currently have a puppy of my own, so I’m actively working on potty training and basic obedience. I’ve provided pet care for friends and family including dog walks, drop-in visits, and spending quality/play time with pets. I treat every animal like my own and would be happy to send updates/photos so you always know how your pet is doing. 💗 I’m a military spouse who moved to San Diego about a year ago. Since I’m not working another job, I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m unavailable most Thursdays and Fridays however, I’m open and able to accommodate care and scheduling needs. “Joanne is an angel! I’ve met with her before her pet drop ins started and felt immediately at ease- like we’ve known each other for a long time. My pup, Haku adored her! Joanne took good care of him when we’re away and communicates everything with me. She carefully follows instructions and did everything as told with respect! I would definitely book with her service again! She deserves more than 5 stars. Joanne, please stay nearby and keep in touch!!!”

About: I’ve been around animals since I can remember , dogs , cats lizards everything in the book. I have a pug with my mom and recently my oldest dog of 16 years passed away so I’ve been enjoying watching and taking care of others pets I am also on WAG which is another dog walking app and truth be told, I think it’s better I am currently in summer vacation and doing this for school, I am pursuing a career as a nurse practitioner in pediatric care so this is helping me pay for school as well I currently live in a studio with my girlfriend and we are close to a dog park and other nice areas to watch and care for your fur baby so you will know they are in great care
About: I’ve lived on a farm since I was 11. I’ve taken care of dogs and puppies along with many other animals. I raised multiple litters of newborn puppies and their mothers. I’ve cared for them in many ways. I’ve also worked at a doggy day care and boarding facility and have experience with taking care of many dogs of different sizes and ages. I’m walking dogs and doing dog sitting as a side job now while I attend school. I assure you I have plenty of experience taking care of these wonderful fur babies. I’m currently going to school. I take night classes and need something that is flexible with my schedule. I already walk dogs and do dog sitting through another app called wag. It’s perfect for me cause I can focus on school without being worried about being tied down to a schedule since I’m able to make my own schedule. I also need more services so I thought doing 2 apps at a time might bring more income. I let them out every 2-4 hours to go potty or as needed or instructed my owner. I feed them based off their eating schedule and how many time a day they eat. I take them out for walks and to play with them outside frequently. If the parent need me to do anything else for their pups I’m more than happy to do so.
About: Hello! Thanks for checking out my profile! My name is Diana and I have lived with cats my whole life and have had the pleasure of taking care of cats sinceI was a child. Caring for these wonderful feline companions is not just a job but a genuine passion of mine. At our cat hotel, we offer a nurturing and cozy environment, tailored to cater to your cat's needs. If you're looking for a place where your beloved feline friend will receive love, attention, and exceptional care, you've found the right spot. Feel free to reach out for more information—I'm here to ensure a delightful and comfortable stay for your cat! I work from home most of the time, so I can check on the cats throughout the day. I usually feed, clean the litter boxes, refresh water, and spend time with them during the day and evening. I may not reply immediately early in the morning, but I always keep an eye on the cats and will send updates once I am available. My home is calm, clean, and cat-friendly. Cats stay indoors in a cage-free space, and I make sure doors and windows are secure. For new or shy cats, I can give them a quiet separate room first so they can adjust slowly. I clean the litter boxes daily, keep fresh water available, and watch for changes in appetite, energy, or litter box habits. I also send photo or video updates so owners can feel comfortable while they are away.

“Caroline was fantastic with my senior cat, Theda. When we met for a meet and greet I explained that I am a bit particular about how Theda’s meals are organized and how to clean her bowls, and Caroline was totally on top of it all. I was away the last two weekends and received daily photos of a happy cat from Caroline while out of town, and when I came back the litter area and kitchen were so clean and tidy. I really appreciate that level of care and attention and I know Theda did too: thank you so much Caroline!”

Lynne is my go-to sitter. She takes great care of my kitty and provides her with plenty of love. It is so nice to go away knowing your fur baby is in good hands. I’m sad that I’m leaving the area and hope I find someone half as good to watch my kitty in the future! I highly recommend Lynne, you will not be disappointed.

Brandee is the absolute best! She replied to my booking so fast. Eventhough she wasn't available for the entire booking, she actively searched for friends who could help. Other sitters just turned down the request, or didn't reply. We agreed on some days that would work. The request was to care for tiny, sick, shelter kittens. The job was not easy, it involved an application to the animal shelter, wearing full protective gear, coordinating with the foster coordinator, and then caring for sick kittens. She handled it like a pro! She found her way in and worked with the kittens and even sent pictures. I highly recommend her as a pet sitter!

Anjelica was great! I booked her last minute and she was super accommodating, setting up a meet and great quickly. She was very communicative, followed all guidelines and provided updates with lots of photos. I felt comfortable leaving my cat under her care while I was away and was able to enjoy my time knowing all was being taken care of back home. Thanks again! 🐈⬛

Belinda watched my cat, Bella, for about 3 weeks and she did fantastic! Bella warmed up to her right away. Belinda was great about sending photos and making sure Bella’s food, water, and litter were taken care of. It made me feel much better knowing that there was such a caring person looking after my girl. I’d be happy to book her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lincoln Acres. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
