About: I've been around dogs my whole life, but volunteering is where I really leveled up. Since 2022, I've been a canine companion at the Dane County Humane Society, working hands on with dogs of all kinds of temperaments. I'm actually designated as a "yellow" volunteer there, which means I work with dogs who tend to be more anxious or mouthy, so I've gone through extensive training (4-5+ hours specifically on dog behavior) to learn how to read them and help them feel calm and comfortable. Four years in, I've worked with pretty much every size, breed, and personality type out there. I've recently surpassed 300 hours of service! As for cats, I have two of my own, one is an absolute sweetheart and the other keeps me on my toes, so I know exactly how to work with cats who need a little extra patience and TLC. I'm looking forward to meeting your babies and caring for them like they're my own! Pet care fits easily into my routine. On weekdays, I'm usually done with work by 5pm, so I'm available for evening walks and dinner drop-ins. I'm also open to early mornings if needed, just with a little advance notice since I like to keep my calendar updated and make sure I can actually commit. Weekends I have more flexibility overall for walks, drop-ins, or whatever care is needed. When caring for pets in a client's home, I always start by carefully reading through everything the owner sends me so I can follow their guidelines as closely as possible. I take notes right from the first introduction. I also love doing a drop-by visit before the actual care starts, just to get familiar with the house (how to get in, where everything is) and do a quick meet and greet with the pet while the owner's still there. That way they can get comfortable with me instead of just having a stranger show up. During that visit, I pay attention to the pet's temperament so I know how to adjust when I enter and how to engage with them. I also make sure I know their favorite toys, what and how much they eat, any medications, and anything else important. My goal is always to be knowledgeable, calm, and to match the pet's energy rather than force my own.

About: I've had 2 family dogs and 4 cats! As well as helping take care of friends and roommates pets. I love them and it's fun for me, just thought it'd be a cute and easy way to make a little extra money. I work full time so can only do quicker drop-ins in the mornings and/or evenings during the week but could drop by more over weekends! Am good to drop by homes/apartments and feed/walk/hang out with pets for a bit, not available to care for them from my apartment.

About: Currently in medical school so looking to make some extra money. I’m always the first one asked to watch pets for friends, family, and classmates. I’ve got my own fur babies but I can never get enough and love to help ensure other peoples pets are well taken care of when they are away. I love to send photos to update owners. I’m currently in school with a reduced schedule for the summer so I’m able to have a flexible schedule right now. Come fall things will be different I’m used to working with pets who have all manner of needs and personalities. I’ve always been good about making a good bond with new pets and respecting their personal space while also keeping them entertained and safe.

About: I've lived with pets my whole life, including a very energetic golden retriever, and have always loved taking care of my family and friends' pets whenever they ask me to. I'm currently a senior at UW-Madison looking to make some extra money! My schedule can be a little all over the place so just ask me if I’m available and I’ll do my best to get back to you right away! During the summer months I work full time from 8:00-4:30 during the week as well! About: I worked for a professional pet care service for almost a year and learned a lot about animals through that time! Overall I am an animal lover and can’t wait to meet your cute pets!! I’m currently a senior in college who has free time and thought I could use it to my advantage and meet some cute pets! I really want to get my own dog or cat when I graduate college and realized I could get some more experience:) I had a dog my whole life and will care for your pets as if they were my own. I do live in a college house with three roommates but am still open to pet sitting in my home if you are.
