About: I have years of hands on experience caring for dogs and cats through personal pet ownership, animal shelter volunteering, fostering, and pet sitting for friends and family. During my undergraduate years, I spent several years volunteering at animal shelters and fostering animals with a wide range of ages, personalities, and care needs. I've cared for young puppies, kittens, adult cats, senior dogs, and older rescues who were still learning potty-training routines. Through these experiences, I've become comfortable working with shy, nervous, and anxious animals, as well as dogs who need extra patience on walks or tend to pull on the leash. I also have experience with basic puppy training, reinforcing commands, managing potty-training accidents, and caring for multiple pets at once. I'm experienced with administering both oral and injectable medications, and I understand the importance of carefully following each pet's specific care instructions. I grew up caring for my family's pug, who lived to be 15 years old, and I currently have a sweet 4 year old rescue dog. I've also fostered and cared for multiple dogs and cats in my home, so I'm familiar with managing different personalities, energy levels, and routines. One of the biggest things fostering has taught me is that every animal is different. Some pets want to play all day, while others prefer quiet company or need a little extra time to warm up. I love getting to know each pet individually and making sure they receive the attention, patience, and affection that works best for them! I'm currently a graduate student at UW-Madison, and one of the best parts of my schedule is that my lab allows me very flexible hours! This gives me plenty of freedom throughout the week to work around your pet's routine and make sure they get the attention and care they deserve. Since I'm not tied to a traditional 9 to 5 schedule, I can make time for dog walks, drop-in visits, playtime, and overnight house sitting. Whether your pup needs a midday walk, your kitten wants some extra playtime, or your furry friend just needs someone to keep them company while you're away, I'm happy to help! I also have a 4 year old rescue dog of my own, so walks, feeding, playtime, and spending quality time with animals are already part of my everyday routine. I'm available most days and am happy to coordinate around your pet's usual schedule. About: Growing up my parents would not allow me to get a dog. I walked the neighbors dogs and they said that was the same as having my own. Not really. Lol. Since grade school I have watched friends and family's dogs over the course of weekends, and multiple week vacations. I have always wanted a dog but I don't have the time currently due to my career. About: I’ve owned dogs, cats, horses for years. No job is too big. I work in veterinary medicine as a technician. I am comfortable with medications, injections, subcutaneous fluids, etc. I currently work full time at Spring Harbor Animal Hospital. I am able to stop morning and evenings around work and then more on weekends! If you need services overnight I do try to check on my kitties before settling in with your pet for the night. In the client home I am very respectful of spaces and leave it as found. I will follow all rules both for myself and for your pet. About: I am a medical student. I have put all of my efforts towards caring for others and their loved ones. My pet care experience first started when my family got a red-fox laboratory puppy seven years ago. It was a dream come true, something my sister and I had waited for many years. While Bhima, our puppy, was just a bundle of fun, he came with a load of responsibilities. From grooming to bathing to brushing to walking, a lot of the responsibility relied heavily on my sister and I. About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 12 years and have experience with dogs, cats, farm animals, and wildlife. My professional animal care experience began as a teenager working at Pine Ridge Pet Resort, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. My responsibilities included feeding, walking, cleaning, administering medications, monitoring behavior, and providing safe, attentive care in both boarding and daycare settings. Since then, animal care has remained a huge part of my life. I have extensive hands-on experience caring for senior pets, including administering multiple oral medications, insulin injections, and providing extra support for aging dogs with changing mobility and health needs. I also have experience giving medication to cats and caring for puppies. In addition to domestic pet care, I worked at a wildlife rescue center where I assisted with first aid, fluid administration, and hands-on care for injured animals. That experience strengthened my ability to stay calm, observant, and compassionate in high-stress situations. I work 40h each week Monday through Friday, so I am mainly available on the weekends only for now. I am getting married in a year & have 2 degrees, so I have both debt and savings to add to. I am hoping to help care for pets & put every cent earned on Rover towards my debt In my home, I have a full house of 2 dogs and 2 cats. They all get along great, but my senior dog, Daisy, doesn't get along with dogs that don't live with her. Therefore, my home is not available currently for pet sitting, but I am familiar with pet sitting for others in their homes in order to assure their pets feel safe. In my home, I feed 2x/day in an 8 hour period and walk my dogs every 3-4 hours. When it comes to other people's pets, I am open to whatever care routine your animals are used to. No matter how many steps are involved, I can do anything you need done, and I will do it with a smile on my face. I will also respect any and all boundaries in your home and only go in the designated pet areas. I have had multiple people require I stay out of certain rooms, and it has never been an issue. About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was around 5 years old. I grew up in the country in Texas and at one point we had around 20 cats and 9 dogs. We took care of the strays that made their way onto our property, and sometimes adopted from shelters and random people. I was taught love and compassion for animals since I was a young child. I continue to embrace the kindness I have in my heart for animals everyday. I’m usually available most of the time, as I don’t have any full time work to tend to. I also do not celebrate holidays which can benefit pet owners very much because they can count on me being available as long as I have not already booked with someone else. I would be wonderful to your pup insuring they get enough potty breaks, walks if you would like, maybe the dog park upon your approval, and even car rides if you’d like! I offer complimentary treats.. I keep some in my home. And of course I would get them approved by my client first. For cats in my clients home, I would do the same things. I would also insure the cat box is clean, and lots of play time if that’s what the kitty likes :-)
