13. Kelly & Joshua B.
About: I grew up with dogs since I was a little kid. I’ve fostered many dogs through various rescues in the area including the local animal shelter where I volunteered as a foster coordinator for 2 years. Through fostering I’ve learned that dogs need time and reassurance to adjust to the new environment. I am cautious to introduce dogs appropriately and recognize when each dog needs space. For our dogs, this means a happy time out in the crate with a bone or just a different area of the house. Positive reinforcement is used to motivate our dogs to follow the pack and obey house rules. Additionally, I have 5+ years of volunteering and training with my senior dog, where we visited different clients for therapy services. We are the perfect place for pups that need someone to hang with during your work day, as we work from home. My husband and I both work from home and take care of our dogs during the day. There’s plenty of time for dog walks and play time in the fenced yard. I have a well maintained and fenced in yard. I currently have 3 dogs of my own that are very dog friendly. Off leash time in the back yard, dog walks and crating are all options. We have a surplus of dog toys and comfy beds for lounging pups. Our dogs are a mix of couch potatoes and playful pups. Our dogs are small, medium, and large dogs, so there’s a playmate for everyone.
