We're a dog-loving family!
We would love to care/board your dogs! We live in Fairfax Station and we offer cage-free boarding, meaning that we welcome pets into our home and family. If you want your dog crated, we are happy to continue whatever your pet feels most comfortable. We back up to Fountainhead Regional Park and are right on the blue trail where we like to walk dogs. Unless it is a holiday, we only care for one family's pets at a time (other than our own) so we can give pooches the best attention that we can. Sometimes there are overlaps on weekends like during summer vacations. We give regular walks and lots of cuddles and belly rubs. We just require that your dogs be current with their vaccinations. Our German Shepherd Sierra continues to receive fantastic care from Dorrie. We have been back many times now - this sitter is our go-to for knowing our dog will be well cared for when we can’t bring her along with us on a trip. Sierra loves the personal attention and walks on the nearby trails. We get great communication with lots of photos.
Our two Jack Russell Terriers clearly enjoyed their stay with Dorrie & Rob based on their underwhelming reaction to our return to pick them up after a week. One of the dogs is blind which they were able to accommodate without issue. The outdoor space is quite nice which was a real treat for the younger, more able dog. Regrettably, we booked our stay during the worst cold and nasty weather these parts had seen in a while and we appreciate the extra effort required to make sure Snoopy & Poppie did their "business" and received some exercise and fresh air. Can recommend this care giver without hesitation.
Dakota loves staying with Dorrie and her family. He enjoys playing with their dog and going on walks in the nearby park. The daily pics are a plus!
Our high energy German Shepherd loves staying with Dorrie. We have booked with this family several times now and appreciate the great communication provided, the great walks they take her on along the trails nearby, and the peace of mind we feel, knowing our pup is in a family setting where she feels comfortable while we’re away.
Dorrie and her husband were great with Cubby! They were very accommodating, responsive, and sent daily updates that gave us peace of mind. Cubby came home happy and well cared for.

Schedule
I am an after-school tutor so it is very easy for me to care for your dog(s). I have even more availability when school is out like during Christmas and summer vacations.

We are a very pet friendly home! Dogs are welcomed into our home and most like to be in the same room with me. At this time I do not go to client's homes.

A typical day
We walk on the blue trail in Fountainhead Regional Park. If your dog enjoys playing fetch, we have a lot (A LOT) of old tennis balls to play with in our back yard.
