“Hannah is absolutely awesome! I booked her for a week to care for King, and she was incredibly timely, engaging, and focused on his needs every single day. She provided detailed notes after each visit, sent wonderful photos during their walks, and even left a sweet, handwritten thank-you note at the end of the booking. To top it off, when another walker had a last-minute transportation emergency this morning, I contacted Hannah, and she went completely out of her way to come out and help us on short notice. She is always responsive, highly professional, and truly cares about King. I cannot recommend her enough!”

“Denisa is proactive and highly communicative, and provided excellent care to my energetic puppy even caring for a small injury he was nursing. I'll definitely ask for future walks with her!”

“When I got home Ali seemed so happy. I am so glad I was able to find a good walker and look forward to continuing their help! Ali loved grant and it was so nice to know they liked her too!”

“Taylor has been walking Benji for a few months now and she’s incredible. Super communicative and also incredibly flexible with all of our crazy schedules. Benji also loves her and she’s so attentive to him and all of his preferences (like when he decides he’s done walking early).”

About: Growing up in the Philippines with 16 dogs in our home is what really sparked my love for animals. I’ve always been surrounded by pets and have loved caring for them from a young age. To me, animals are such a precious part of life, and I truly believe life would be so boring without them. I have cared for senior dogs and those that have medical needs. Since I am home 24/7, pet care is seamlessly integrated into my day rather than squeezed into a busy schedule. I am home full-time, ensuring your pet is never left alone and always has company. I provide frequent potty breaks throughout the day based on your pet’s specific needs and routine. I dedicate one to two hours each day to focused playtime and exercise, keeping your pet mentally and physically stimulated. Whether it’s a mid-morning stretch or an afternoon game of fetch, your pet becomes a natural part of my daily routine. With your permission, I will also take your pet to the park. To ensure your pet’s safety, I maintain a hazard-free home and a secure, fenced yard. I closely supervise all outdoor time, provide constant access to fresh water, and make sure your pet does not overheat during hot weather.

About: Im available all the time and have a lot of time with my own dog and I have a cat too. I’ve taken care of a senior dog I adopted and trained my current dog pretty well. My day is open. The only thing that’s ever on my calendar is getting my daughters to school. Other than that, I’m usually home. I have a fenced yard and my dog is really friendly. The yard is on the smaller side but still has plenty of places to run around.

“Luke did great walking our large dog, Mozzie! He took him on long walks and always made sure he had enough water before going back in his crate. Luke followed all of our instructions and took great care of Mozzie and our home. We will definitely book him to walk Mozzie again!”

About: I used to work for the pet sitter company for the last 5 years and working with many various of sized dogs including cats. Willing to take care of special needs pets. I also can cover your fish feeding, lizards, and ferrets if needed. Hit me up. We can plan a planning. Woof woof! I’m currently self - employed part time. I’m usually available on many days. Would like to walk early morning and midday when you’re going to work or far away. Can cover the same pet in evening if something happens suddenly. Unfortunately, I live in someone’s place and have to follow his policies. No pets allowed in my home but good news I can take care of your pets in your sweet home.
About: Animals have always had a special place in my heart. From fostering dogs in California to rescuing countless stray cats and dogs over the years, caring for animals is more than a job it's my passion. Whether it's a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight stay, I'll treat your pets like they're my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because it's what I genuinely enjoy doing. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I have the time to give pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Whether it's a quick walk or an overnight stay, I'm committed to making sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved. I always follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable while you're away. Whether I'm stopping in for a visit, taking them on a walk, or staying overnight, I'll make sure they have fresh water, meals on schedule, exercise, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.
“Melissa is amazing! She took such great care of my pupper—walked her, played ball, gave her treats and plenty of affection. It’s clear she genuinely loves animals, and my dog absolutely adores her. I completely trust Melissa with my pet and will definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend!”

“Lohan is wonderful with King. He’s on time and reliable. One day it rained and he was concerned with King being comfortable in the weather conditions. King is excited for his walks with Lohan, as he wakes me up early to get him ready and then he patiently waits by the door. Lohan is very good with communicating with me and keeps me updated. I absolutely love the pictures I receive every morning. I would definitely recommend Lohan.”

About: I’ve had pets on my life, ranging from small to big. I have a 13 year-old rescue dog. I’ve had fish, rabbits, hamsters, a cat, a rat, lizards, and four dogs. Not all at once! Pets have always been a part of my family. I’d happily be temporary family to yours. I’ve just moved from California here to attend nursing school. I have two kids for half the week. I will have every other weekend and holiday available. I joined Rover for the flexibility and to be able to take care of some cool pet while I don’t have my kids. I will not tell you how I will care for your pet. I will listen and follow your instructions. Every pet like any child is so different. I’m here to make the experience specific and comfortable for them.
“Sabria is a professional who takes pride in her work. Our service dog was cared for on walks that were timely and in alignment with her daily routine. She was very comfortable with Sabria and would wait by the door with anticipation of Sabria's arrival. Sabria's service is nothing short of outstanding. She's our first choice, go to walker.”

About: I’ve been with dogs since a very young age. I treat all my fur babies like family! I love to keep families posted by taken sweet pictures and videos to send to them. I am currently in Virginia looking for a new job I am free everyday at any given time. I was located in Florida but moved up this past weekend I give all my fur babies lots of hugs and kisses to make sure even though you’re out they won’t be alone or sad. When I am at your house I will make sure that my time with them is well spent and make sure they are happy no matter what!

Toni was wonderful with Ana and Elsa! She was very patient and caring, especially with Ana, who can sometimes be a little stubborn during her walks. 😊 I really appreciated how attentive and understanding Toni was with both of them. I would definitely recommend her!

Luke did great walking our large dog, Mozzie! He took him on long walks and always made sure he had enough water before going back in his crate. Luke followed all of our instructions and took great care of Mozzie and our home. We will definitely book him to walk Mozzie again!

Our expectations were well exceeded by Mary’s excellent communication and her adherence to our agreed-upon schedules. We hadn’t left our pup for an extended period before with someone she didn’t know and was grateful to Mary for her care. We would definitely consider hiring Mary again if she was available! We are particularly pleased when our dog’s pet sitter treats her almost as well as we do with conversation and petting sessions .

Kay did such a wonderful job handling our old girl. She went above and beyond when Miss Peppers developed a troubled tummy the day before her first walk. Kay kept me well informed, cleaned up some mess (above and beyond!) and checked in to see if she was feeling better. Kay was also flexible about changing a walk day when our plans changed at the last minute.
Melissa is absolutely wonderful!!! My dog has only been left alone one time, so I was nervous leaving her for 9 days. But Melissa put all my worries to rest. I really enjoyed receiving the detailed reports and pictures twice a day. I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing she was well cared for. I highly recommend Melissa! I will definitely hire her again for future vacations.

King is excited for his walks with Lohan, as he wakes me up early to get him ready and then he patiently waits by the door. Lohan is very good with communicating with me and keeps me updated. Stacy has quickly become an auntie to my pupper. She’s attentive and always provides updates, complete with multiple photos. She goes above and beyond, offering playtime and cuddles in addition to walks and feedings. One of my biggest concerns in finding a sitter was someone who could confidently handle my excitable, muscular 90-lb lab mix, and Stacy does so with ease. She walks her without issue and allows her the space to sniff, explore, and enjoy herself. My pup is my world, and I trust Stacy completely with her. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
