“Courtney was fantastic with Oakley! She took the time to play with him during the walks and ensured he was put up in the crate with water for the rest of the day. Oakley loved his time with Courtney!”

About: Hi everyone! I'm Charlotte and I'm a college student majoring in Wildlife Conservation. I've always loved all kinds of animals, and I have two cats at home! I have sitting experience with cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, rabbits, fish, and geckos. I’m a very active person and would love to play with dogs or take them on long walks. I also really enjoy a nice long cuddle session! I have so much love for animals and I love taking care of them. Please reach out if you think I'm a good fit for your pet! I will be able to fit pet care in very well. My other job is babysitting for two kids, and that has very flexible timing and I can always take them with me if needed. I can drive so I will be able to stop by houses easily! I can take dogs into my backyard where they can run around, but they won't be able to go in my house because I have my own pets. Likewise, I cannot bring cats into my own home because my cats do not get along with others. But I am more than willing to visit my client's home and stay overnight if necessary!

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs my entire life whether they’re mine or friends. I have a 80lb doberman/pitt mix making me very comfortable with large dogs, and a 10lb tabby cat making me comfortable with your tiny friends too! I work part time, and on days I do work I have a 2 hour lunch break. This allows me to be available for your furry friends whenever you need! I have experience walking dogs who are not fully leash trained and those that are reactive. I know the area well and am confident I can keep your furry friends safe and entertained!
“Ms Brianna has helped me since day one! I was worried about moving and finding someone to take care of my puppers but she came through and started communicating with me before my move to reassure me he would be taken care of. I’m so thankful for her and so is Mr. Puppers.”

“Grace is great! She follows care instructions and is attentive to my fur baby, I also like how she actually leaves a detailed message about the walk on the report card.”

“Today was our first time meeting Seth - very nice guy and super well versed in animal care and bigger dogs like my boy, Ghost. Knew exactly how to handle Ghost’s excitement and occasional stubbornness. Informative and willing to work with my schedule and even help out with training!! Can’t wait for Ghost to have a new best friend while I’m busy at work (:”

About: What sets me apart is that I’m not just a sitter—I’m a dog mom myself, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pup with someone. I treat every dog like they’re my own, with genuine love, patience, and attention to detail. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, or just a calm presence, I’m here to give them the same care and comfort they’d get at home. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pet the attention they deserve. I’m available for early morning walks, midday drop-ins, and evening snuggles. I also offer overnight care for those who need a loving presence while they’re away. My routine can easily be tailored around your pet’s feeding, walking, and potty schedule. Pet care is a huge part of my life — it’s not something I fit in, it’s something I prioritize. From daily walks with my own dogs to checking in on client pups, I dedicate specific time each day to ensure every dog gets quality care, play, and attention. I always plan my day around their needs, not the other way around. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, safety and comfort always come first. I create a calm, structured environment and supervise interactions closely. I keep a close eye during walks, use secure leashes, and never leave pets unattended. In your home, I respect your space and routines, following any special instructions you leave. I also send plenty of updates, photos, and videos so you always feel connected and reassured.

“Brianna is a great dog walker!! She is very quick to respond to messages and took the lead organizating the meet and greet. She was available on pretty short notice, which was such a relief. Brianna was immediately comfortable with my 150lb dog, which means she is comfortable with any dog! She is a great dog walker and I will be using her regularly!”

About: I have nearly 2 years of experience as a kennel assistant at a Hayfield Animal Hospital caring for dogs, cats, and exotics of all sizes and personalities. I also was a part of the Edison Academy veterinary science class where we provided grooming services to clients. I’ve taken care of my own dog for 8 years and have pet sat for family and friends. I’m reliable, patient, and focused on making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I currently work part-time as a kennel assistant, so caring for animals is already a big part of my daily life! I’m available most weekdays and weekends, and I’m happy to make time to stop by and care for your pet. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping your pet company, I’ll make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. I care for every pet as if they were my own by making sure they feel comfortable and loved while their owner is away. As a pre-vet student at Virginia Tech, my passion for animals runs deep. Just as I do with my own dog, in a client’s home, I follow their pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and plenty of attention and companionship. I also make sure pets have a clean, stress-free environment and would love to keep owners updated with messages and photos!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
