“I really appreciate Hannah! I needed to hire someone last minute for my 5 furbabies, and she was more than willing. I asked if she wouldn't mind if I reached out for additional days toward the end of my trip away, and though I ended up not needing to do so, she was willing to do that as well. Additionally, my senior rottweiler mix likes to "give attitude," which can be scary if you aren't familiar with it, and Hannah handled that beautifully. She was communicative when it happened, which allowed me to message her to share what to do about it (which was to let the dog throw her fit and leave her be). I'd hire her again in a heartbeat, and probably will when I take trips in the future!”

About: I have been around pets most of my life! I am definitely a dog person and have yet to meet a dog I couldn't be friends with, even if it takes some work. I have cared for senior dogs, puppies, for babies big and small. I am always glad to answer any questions! I am currently working full time in a clinic with a normal schedule of about 8-5 M-F. I am most comfortable with combination dog- and house-sitting so your doggo gets the most of my attention! I also pride myself on being flexible and would do my best to work together for what is best for your pet! I tend to be pretty adaptable, and prefer to take a dogs lead as well as owner’s instruction to tell what is needed and when. It's been a while, but I volunteered a at shelter a lot before going away for college and some of those tips and tricks stick with you!

One time, I failed to leave the key for Ryan, and he stayed as my place long enough for me to finish with my patient visit and respond with a garage code to get it! About: I've always had a special connection with pets, from hatching chicks in 3rd grade, to watching my sister's 5 dogs, 30 chickens, and 4 goats, to just loving on my one cat at home. (Comfortable with all ages of dogs/cats including seniors) I currently work for my dad in Lenexa, so I have a semi-flexible schedule. I know how important quality time is to animals so I always adjust to their needs and make sure they're properly fed, watered, loved, and medicated (if needed) All pets are different. I like to follow owners instructions to a tee, and on top of that it doesn't take long for me to get to know an animals baselines behaviors so I can adjust to whatever that animal needs the most. Some just like to have someone there with them, some may want to be pet for 24 hours, some may like to play, some may just like to lounge, etc. My cat's name is Zuko, and she is somewhere in between all that!

About: One of my first jobs was working in a vet clinic where I was responsible for walking, feeding, and cleaning up after dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I have spent a lot of time over the years providing care in the form of walks, overnight stays, medications, and more. I have also provided lots of cat care and am happy to feed and play with them as well as scoop litter boxes. I am a fifth grade teacher currently on summer break, so I have lots of availability throughout the next couple of months! My June mornings will be spent working summer school, but I am available from 12:30 pm on. In July, I will be wide open! I pay close attention to directions from owners. Want your dog to stay out of certain rooms? You got it! Need me to keep an eye on your pup’s sore paw? No problem! I typically err on the side of caution and don’t allow anything that doesn’t feel right. I also communicate with owners about any questions or concerns I have while watching pets.
