About: I have worked at boarding facilities and doggy day cares for two years and I am very knowledgeable in safe pet care! I’ve had dogs in my life since I was born, and my mother is a professional dog trainer so I’ve picked up a lot of dog behavior knowledge along the way. I would love to put my time to use by watching your furry friends!! I will devote every second to giving them all the love they deserve. I am available for full time pet sitting, walks, or drop-ins whenever you need them! In my home we have one pup who is super spoiled. I’ll treat your pets as if they were my own and give them the love and care they deserve! My experience in professional pet care has provided me with extensive knowledge on pet behavior and needs, so you can trust that your four-legged-friend is safe with me!

“Michael was great watching Bonnie while we were out of town! He took great care of her and provided updates each day. The house was perfect when we got back and Bonnie was so chill. Will definitely be reaching out for his help again!”

“Lori’s service, taking care of my elderly cat, was remarkable. It became clear quite quickly that she was thinking of my cat’s welfare first and foremost. I’m inexperienced with having cat sitters staying the night in a house sitting capacity. Lori handled my cat’s needs as well as my general requests expertly - and I felt reassured. She exceeded my expectations, showing consideration by offering to do a task or two I hadn’t requested. All in all, she was lovely to work with. With Lori caring for my cat, I feel confident taking longer trips, knowing my cat will be so well looked after!”

About: Hi there! I have two wonderful kitties and have had a dog in the past. I love both dogs and cats but especially cats! I have lived with or spent time with consistently many different temperaments of cats! They tend to like me as I don't approach them other than to let them sniff me and then let them come to me on their own terms. One of my cats, Millie, is a rambunctious, food stealing, sprinting devil who is also incredibly sweet. Her sister, Tiny Mouse loves to sit on my partner and nudge your phone out of your hand. The dog I had in the past with my ex-partner was a senior dog, so I do have experience with small, senior dogs. We did a lot of damage control as she got older with puppy pads, meds, letting her lead the way but helping her with walks, etc. I have lived with a large dog for several years in the past, as well as multiple cats. I have had to give meds to cats, dogs and I also have had rabbits! I LOVE rabbits and other small animals, both on the larger side and note. We had to give one of our bunnies meds through an injection in his neck, and I used to be a medical assistant so I can do injections for meds and give meds, etc. I work 9am-5pm with flexibility. Usually I can be somewhere by 5pm as long as I have a heads up! Between 7:30-9 am is best, but usually I can make things work. The weekends I’m pretty open! Just check in with me and we can figure something out. I am super careful with dogs and always make sure I have an understanding of if they need tight leash control, can be off lease or will walk next to me! I like to understand what their routine is for walks, snacks etc. before I sit to make them as comfortable with me as possible! Cats I usually just make sure they don't get stuck in a closet somewhere (both of my cats sleep in our closets) or if they're an escape artist that they don't flee!!
“Jaclyn knows the many moods and temperaments of dogs. Under the extraordinary confusion of a major home renovation project, she was able to settle our rescued pup upon arrival. We appreciated her excellent questions, skill, patience and forthright approach to leading him towards full exercise, calm homecomings and lots of fun in between. Thank you, Jaclyn!”

“Iví was incredible. She was very sweet and took great care of our pets and our home during a weekend stay. We came home to a clean, tidy home and two very relaxed, happy dogs. Iví also provided updates and made sure to let us know how the pups were doing during their stay. We would absolutely hire Iví again.”

“I felt great leaving my cat Frances under Maggie's care. She was thorough, attentive, communicative, and friendly. And her love of animals is very apparent! I would definitely book her again.”

About: Growing up, my family dog was epileptic and required a lot of serious attention. Since then, I have watched dogs and cats for weeks during friends and family’s vacations. I currently work a flexible schedule so I can be mostly available to walk your dogs I would just need a heads up on timing! I do attend school so my availability will be changing once the year begins. I can make your dog feel safe and loved while you are away. I can also make sure they get enough exercise as I love to walk and run!
“Kendra was professional, prompt, and communicative. Our little pup took to her well, and she clearly enjoyed Kendra's company. Kendra was very conscientious regarding the house. I would recommend her highly.”

“Kiersten is very easy to communicate with and took great care of my dog, Luna. She sent me lots of pictures of their time together and was very flexible when our plans changed. I would definitely hire her again.”

About: Experienced pet-sitter with a widely flexible schedule available for any needs you may have for your pet! On top of pet-sitting and day trip/walking experience I have experience as an assistant groomer from working for The Green Groomer in Northampton, MA which you are welcome to get in touch with as a reference. I also worked at a Dog Daycare in the Boston area before moving to Western MA, where I was involved with many responsibilities surrounding the pups including providing their meals, pick-ups/drop-offs, de-escalation of conflict, and general moderation of behavior. Working in this field has granted me the opportunity to work with dogs of all temperaments, ages, and sizes and has taught me how to interact with pups from all walks of life. On top of that I have experience with bathing, nails, and ear cleanings from my time at the Green Groomer. My schedule is extremely flexible, with open availability during the week before 3PM, making check-ins during the work day hassle free, and my shift never getting out later than 10:30PM, so overnight boardings are still not a problem during my work week. I also have Friday-Sundays off so long weekend boardings are always an option. Please let me know in advance of any house rules for your pup (i.e furniture rules, dietary restrictions, routine scheduling) and I will be sure to follow them with the same consistency you would. In regards to boarding with me they would be boarded in a pet-free, smoke-free, child-free condo with a large unfenced yard in the back for leashed outings when needed!
“Sage was an excellent pet sitter every step of the way! She communicates well, took perfect care of our new puppy, and even sent pictures! I would recommend her highly to anyone.”

“Bree was fantastic! She is definitely an animal person who connected with our dog immediately. She sent fun pictures that reassured us how happy he and our cat were and also let us know she was remembering his meds and walks. She left out place as clean or cleaner than when we left. She was very open to communication. We would recommend her to any and all!”

About: Hi I'm Alyssa! I've owned dogs, cats, rabbits, and fish all my life. I love to care for any and all animals when their owners are away because pets can get very anxious when home alone. I intend to relieve their anxiety and share a little love! I do have previous experience with walking multiple dogs in both urban and suburban residences as well as caring for multiple cat homes. I've also worked with all ages of pooches, everything from 2 months to 15 years old! I currently work part time overnights, so I am available for daytime drop-ins and overnight stays, as I would only be at work a couple days a week for a few hours. The safety of your pet(s) is of the utmost importance, including keeping the doors of your house securely closed, keeping your house clean, and focusing solely on your pet(s) during any outside time.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 595 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lake Pleasant. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lake Pleasant walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lake Pleasant maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lake Pleasant choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
